Jillyan is an incredibly talented artist and an absolute pleasure to work with. She has such a warm, sweet, and personable energy that instantly puts you at ease. My makeup stayed ...
flawless through hours of dancing and happy tears! Her prices are very reasonable, and she truly takes her time to make sure you’re thrilled with the final look. I did a trial beforehand, and she adjusted everything perfectly for the big day. She also did makeup for my mom, mother-in-law, and bridal party they all looked stunning. I received so many compliments. I highly recommend booking her for your wedding day!
Geena is just as sweet and personable and incredibly talented. She did a gorgeous job with my hair! I showed her an inspiration photo, and she recreated it beautifully. My updo stayed in place the entire night, and I absolutely loved the final result. She’s reasonably priced, friendly, and skilled—everything you could want in a stylist!
Jillyan and Geena did an absolute phenomenal job - makeup and hair were PERFECT. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is because of a bit of unexpected behavior experienced...

Jillyan and Geena are absolutely amazing!!
Everyone raved about the beautiful job they did. They are also very sweet, professional, quick and efficient. I am so happy I found them!...
I was definitely beyond impressed with the work they did.
A Dream Team That Made Me Feel Beautiful Inside and Out
My wedding was on November 7, 2024, and to say my anxiety was overwhelming would be an understatement. Like many brides, I ...
was stressed about every little detail—but through it all, I had one incredible woman in my corner: Jillyan.
From the very first contact to well beyond my wedding day, Jillyan was a true professional and a calming presence. She listened to every thought, idea, and concern I had—and somehow turned it all into a look that made me feel absolutely flawless. As someone who’s often highly self-critical, I can honestly say I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day.
Not only did she work her magic on me, but she also did an exceptional job with all of my bridesmaids, as well as my mother and mother-in-law. Everyone looked and felt amazing.
When I voiced concerns about my skin’s texture, Jillyan didn't just reassure me—she took the time to explain a new skincare routine and even wrote it all down for me. That personal touch meant everything.
Gina, who styled our hair, brought my vision to life in ways I couldn’t even fully articulate—she just *got it*. Our hair was absolutely stunning.
If you're searching for a dream team to help you feel like your best, most confident self on your big day, start with Jillyan Scarpa Makeup Artistry-I truly can’t recommend her enough.
Jill & Liz were great! They were very flexible and did such a great job. They were very responsive & are also very affordable!
These ladies were essential to the success of our special day. These ladies are talented and know how to keep calm which in turn keeps everyone else in the room calm. Makeup and ha...
ir stayed in place the whole day. The communication I had with Jillyan from the start was stellar. She was clear and reassuring from start to finish. She helped me outline the timeline for the day as well which was a huge help! They are also very flexible and work with you whether it's to schedule a trial or for your special day.
I originally found Jillyan and Geena on a bridal facebook page. I had been nervous going to book hair and makeup as I wanted a more natural look that was elevated. I don't normally...
wear a lot of makeup or lashes. However, I immediately felt at ease meeting and working with Jillyan. She was so friendly and easy to talk to and even made a great recommendation for a serum to add to my skin care routine. Wedding morning they met us at the venue and provided great glam to my girls and I. We started around 8 and were done with more than enough time to spare before photos began. On top of their friendly demeanor, great work and professionalism, services were also very reasonable. I would work with them again should I even have more make-up needs in the future.
Jillyan and Geena are so sweet and experienced. Their prices are very affordable, and their quality of work is amazing. At the trial, Jillyan and Geena both were so flexible with t...
rying out different styles on me and took detailed notes for any changes I wanted for the wedding day.
We had a daytime wedding, so hair and make-up started at 6AM for 4 girls and the bride. Jillyan and Geena were there early, set up, and ready to go. Not only are both highly talented but also personable and easy to chat with. Jillyan truly listened to what each woman wanted and listened to their concerns and preferences. Jillyan made sure to keep my make-up looking very natural and not heavy or cakey. My make-up was finished by 8AM and lasted me until 11PM at night!! Geena was so creative with everyone’s hair. I showed her a few inspiration pictures and she did a beautiful job! My hair generally does not hold a curl well yet it lasted hours. Both were extremely understanding and easy-going if someone wanted a change here or there. I am so happy with Skin Bar and Paint Studio and would highly recommend their services!!!
It feels weird to leave a review for a hair & makeup team when you hit it off so well, they feel more like friends! Jillyan & Beth get an A+++++ for not just their hair & makeup s...
kills, but their friendliness and the way they set the vibe for our whole day. I did my trial with them in July for my December wedding and I knew immediately I wanted to work with them. I’m not a big hair/makeup person and they both made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was torn between hair up or down, so when I booked them for my bridal shower after the trial Beth suggested trying a different look to see what I liked better. Jillyan also let me try different makeup styles to see what made me feel best. I made my trial appointment because they advertised “natural glam” but I booked my wedding because they were true to their word. I felt beautiful without feeling overdone or like a totally different person. The day of, they were on time & worked fast- and we laughed all day. Their prices also can’t be beat. I gifted hair & makeup to my girls (6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 1 aunt & 2 flower girls) and it was totally reasonable. Everyone was also super pleased with their services & all the ladies looked incredible! If you’re looking for wedding hair & makeup, book with Jillyan & Beth, you won’t regret it!
I LOVE Jillyan! She did my wedding makeup and did such a fabulous job! When I went for my makeup trial I was a little nervous because I never wear foundation or false lashes, but...
Jillyan made me so comfortable and reassured me we could always do more or less, but I LOVED it!! She did airbrush foundation and it literally felt like water was misting on my face, it was so light.
Leading up to the wedding day, she answered any and all of my questions quickly and made me feel so relaxed as I was getting more and more panicked the closer the day got. Communication was excellent!
On the day of, Jillyan did such an amazing job with all of the girls. We couldn't have been happier. Not to mention the makeup lasted ALL day. Thank you, Jillyan, for making my day even more special!
Jillyan truly made my bridal makeup dreams come true! I first met Jillyan in 2016 when she did my makeup for my sister's wedding. When I got engaged myself I knew I wanted her to d...
o my makeup for my own wedding as well. She is such a kind hearted person and so talented. My makeup looked beautiful, but very natural, which is exactly the look I was going for. Her prices are also incredibly affordable. I can not say enough wonderful things about Jillyan and her team. 5/5 stars without a doubt!

s on this special day. Everyone's hair and make-up was stunning! My mom is still raving about how amazing she looked! Most of all my 6 year old niece felt like a princess the whole day and it was thanks both Jillyan and Elizabeth. They arrived on time and made sure we were on time and I didn't have to worry about anything! You both made our day feel magical and I can't thank you enough for that.
I will be recommending them both to everyone I meet!
If 10 stars were an option, that is what I would give to Jill! I have had the pleasure of knowing Jill through her business and having her do my makeup for the last 12 years. It al...
l started with my 8th grade dance, countless proms, weddings I was in, special occassions, my engagement party and finally my wedding day! For my wedding, there was no question of who I was going to use. As soon as the date was selected I booked Jill because I couldn't imagine anyone else helping me get ready for my big day! Jill is so easy to work with and at this point in our relationship I tell her to do whatever she wants because she is an expert and extremely talented makeup artist! I always look forward to working with Jill, not only because she is the best, but you always end up laughing and having a great time while getting ready. Jill and her team made my entire bridal party look amazing and feel confident. Her attention to detail is amazing and I'm always speechless when I get to see the finished looked. I can't wait for another special event so I have an excuse to get my makeup done again! <3
I had the pleasure of working with Jillyan on my November 16th 2019 wedding and everything from the makeup trial to the day of was great! For the trial Jillyan took the time to fig...
ure out what kind of skin I have and makeup I use. Since I don’t wear a lot of makeup Jillyan helped me figure out what look would be formal for my wedding but also still look natural and not overdone which was exactly what I was looking for. On the day of we made a few changes to my makeup and it looked amazing and lasted the entire night!! My mom was really worried about her makeup and Jillyan spent so much time with her during the trial and day of to make sure my mom was comfortable and felt beautiful. On the day of the wedding Jillyan was calm, worked efficiently and had all makeup done by the time we needed to. It makes a huge difference on the day of to surround yourself with calm, fun and efficient people and that’s exactly who Jillyan is.
Worked with Jillyan for our November 1st wedding for both hair and makeup. During the trial she was incredibly helpful in figuring out the type of look I wanted and we played with ...
a few ideas. I wanted a natural look and scheduled my engagement session with my photographer immediately after the trial and the pictures came out stunning! I typically don't wear a lot of makeup and while as she was putting it on it felt like she was putting on a lot, it didn't feel like it, nor did it look like it. The hair trial was the same, we played around with a few ideas and they worked with the hairpiece I had purchased flawlessly. Jillyan did 7 girls makeup the day of (including myself) in under 4 1/2 hours, which I was floored by. She was very responsive in emails and was an absolute joy to be around the day of. On your wedding day you want to surround yourself with people who are positive and helpful. Jillyan takes immense pride in her work and takes the role of shaping how you look on your wedding day very seriously. Could not have been happier with the way everything turned out!!
Jillyan Scarpa, owner of Skin Bar and Paint, is the sweetest, kindest and most professional human being I have ever met. My daughter was married on May 26th, 2019 at Saint Clement...
s Castle and Jillyan, along with her hair stylist Elizabeth, drove over 3 hours to work on the whole bridal party along with me, the Mother of the bride, grandma and Aunt Mary. They arrived at 8am and worked continuously until every member was finished.
Their work is flawless, absolutely flawless. This was our first experience preparing for such a big day, but having Jill and Elizabeth in the room with us, reassuring everyone and making us all laugh, set the tone for the whole day. During the wedding we received countless compliments on our makeup and hair which were well warranted. Again, flawless! Jillyan and Elizabeth, thank you so much for being the backbone of our day. Thank you for your kindness and guidance through this process and thank you for traveling so far to help my baby girl shine on the best day of her life. I highly Recommend Skin Bar and Paint for any occasion, they will prepare you for your special day and bring out both your inner and outer beauty.
Much love and continued success, Andrea Goldner Lupo

above and beyond. I felt so beautiful with my wedding makeup and have gotten so many compliments. The makeup lasted all night and I still looked like a "glam" version of me. All of my bridemaids, mom, and mother in law looked great and were happy with the whole process. Due to the pricing, all of my bridesmaids were able to afford to get their makeup done for my wedding (yay!!) and the quality was above and beyond. I couldn't be happier with Jillyan, and one of my friends has already booked with her because of my experience.
I can’t thank you ladies enough for traveling to Cleveland and making my make up and my hair look so amazing and on point! My bridesmaids and Mil looked just as perfect! They have ...

lability on my big day! I did a trial for my engagement shoot and I immediately knew I was going to love working with her! I even had her do my makeup again for my boudoir shoot. On my wedding day Jillyan arrived before me, was sweet as always, and she made me and all my girls look amazing! Jillyan listened to suggestions from all the girls and we all could not have been happier! If you want to look beautiful on your big day and work with a wonderful person, be sure to book Jillyan!!!

ey showed up on time, got everything set up, and did such a beautiful job. They took the time to ask each of us what kind of makeup we usually use, what we feel comfortable with, and made sure we were all happy with our final looks. They even stayed later to do some touch-ups before the photos. The two of them were so kind and fun and they had us all looking beautiful and exactly like the photos we showed them. I can't say enough wonderful things about them! They are both extremely professional and our makeup stayed on and perfect for the entire day! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a makeup artist and a hair stylist for their big day- they don't get better than Jillyan! :)

idesmaids, and 2 mothers. We all have different styles and Jillyan made everyone look their best and really took everyone's personal style into account. My makeup lasted all night and I had so many compliments - because I still looked like me - just better :). I highly recommend her for any occasion you might have! Also, so reasonably priced.
I booked Jillyan Scarpa after another friend used her for a wedding back in Oct 2014. I got married 6/6/15 and my makeup was flawless!
I really loved working with Jillyan. She ...
listened to what I like and wanted to try out. My trial went really well and she really put you at ease with her calm demeanor. She is very talented - I didn't look overdone, but looked like I had makeup up. She just really enhanced my normal makeup routine. She used all the brands that I typically use (MAC, Bobbi Brown) and her and I collaborated on the final look we ended up going with on the big day. Also, I found that she was very competetivly priced. Hair and Makeup can be so expensive, especially in this area, but for myself and my bridesmaids it was extremely affordable and everyone was thrilled with their final look - lashes and all :-)
In total, I had 9 girls including myself get their makeup done on the big day. She arrived right on time at the hotel we were staying at and paced herself perfectly. We never felt rushed or like we were running out of time and she finished right as our photographer arrived to take pictures.
I would recommend Jillyan to anyone who is looking for an affordable but extremely talented makeup artist!

ring my trial Jillyan wanted to know everything about my bridal party, my mom and everything to expect the day of the wedding. We went to the salon the morning of and it was such a warm, fun environment ! Jillyan and her team have been recommended for future events of friends and family of mine. A recent friend used Skin Bar for her wedding in October after getting such a great experience at my wedding! Very happy I used them on our wedding day! :):)

tting hair and make up done the morning of the wedding and the team was fantastic at their work while staying on schedule. My hair and makeup turned out exactly how I wanted. Both Jillyan and Elizabeth were so great during the trials that I knew I was in good hands the day of the wedding. They both stayed until I left for the church - and did any last minute touch ups to any of the girls if they wanted.
If only I had them both with me everyday!!!! Please use them, you will not be disappointed! Not to mention Jillyan's prices are very fair for the great quality service she provides. I will use her again for any of my future make up needs!

r makeup artist I contacted in my search, is extremely easy going and friendly, and was just a delight to have with us. She traveled to the venue to do everyone's makeup, made each girl look beautiful while still looking like themselves, includes airbrush and false eyelashes at no extra cost, and for a reasonable cost she also gave me a natural-looking spray tan a couple days before so that I wouldn't look ghostly pale in my ivory dress. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married, and I wish that I had more friends in the area so that I could recommend her to more people!

illyan, Seema, Elizabeth, Michelle and the entire team at Skin Bar and Paint Studio did for myself and my bridal party.
The team was so professional and flexible. At the last minute, I decided to move the hair clip in my hair which required redoing part of my hair. Elizabeth said no problem and patiently fixed it so that I could have the look I wanted on my wedding day.
Jillyan, Seema and Michelle did an amazing job on the makeup. Jillyan came prior to the ceremony to do touch ups on my makeup. Not only was she willing to touch up my makeup but also all the bridesmaids as well.
Hair and makeup is usually what throws off the schedule of events during a wedding. However, this is definitely not a concern with Skin Bar and Paint. The team was great at keeping to the schedule and even finished early giving myself and my bridesmaids a few minutes to breathe before pictures.
If I ever need a hair and makeup team again, my first call will definitely be to Jillyan and her team.

ears before my own, she said she'd definitely fit me into her schedule, which was so considerate of her since she is often busy doing a number of events in NYC. The morning of my wedding, she was prompt and managed to do makeup for myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law, all in about 3 hours. The airbrush makeup she used felt soft and weightless, and yet it stayed on all day, despite my wedding taking place during a steamy July heatwave! I found Jillyan to be an absolute pleasure to work with, and would recommend her services to any bride!
I got married last month (July 2013) during the heat wave. Jillyan and her assistant arrived at my home right on schedule and did my makeup as well as six bridesmaids and my mom. ...
The day of the wedding ran like a clock and everyone was very calm and had fun. I give Jillyan and her team the credit--we benefitted from their organization and professionalism. Every one of us looked beautiful and there were absolutely no problems with our makeup in spite of the oppressive heat. I would recommend Jillyan/Skin Bar and Paint Studio for your wedding or any special occasion.

Highly recommend Jillyan for wedding day makeup!!

a balance between looking natural but also looking like I was actually wearing makeup, and Jillyan nailed it. My bridesmaids were gorgeous, and I have never seen my mother look more beautiful. Our makeup lasted the whole entire night (and the next morning according to some!) and it looked amazing in all of our photos. In addition, Jillyan and her team were fun to work with, easy-going, and reasonably priced. I would recommend Jillyan and Skin Bar Paint Studio for any bride that wants to feel absolutely beautiful on their wedding day.

of a roadblock so close to our wedding - she rectified it professionally and I appreciated her willingness to go above and beyond to make sure I was happy. We worked with Elizabeth for our wedding day who brought with her so much patience and talent! My girls looked beautiful - and above all else, she made my hair look exactly like I had always imagined for my wedding day. It stayed all night - and into the next day, and I highly recommend them. Thank you Jillyan and Elizabeth for making sure my wedding day was as stress-free as possible and so unbelievably beautiful! I am so grateful

alon to do my hair and makeup trial the day of my bachelorette party. Jamie did my hair trial and it came out great! My make up also looked awesome, and I am the type of girl that rarely wears makeup. Jillyan made me look beautiful, yet natural at the same time, and really brought out my natural features.
My maid of honor originally was going to get her and makeup done elsewhere, but when she saw what a great job the girls did at my trial, she decided to sign up too on the wedding day!
The day of the wedding, Jamie ended up getting sick, but Jillyan sent a replacement, Marlo, and she was great! We actually changed my hair from what we did in the trial and I LOVED IT.
Jillyan, Marlo, and Jamie were all sweethearts and did such a great job. I would definitely recommend them!
