that I was impressed beyond belief. It was exactly them. When I got engaged last year, I was hoping against hope that Skinnyboy would be available for my wedding. And he was! Tyson took the time to get to know me and my husband and asked us what time of music we wanted at our ceremony and reception. He was willing to find the exact songs I wanted play for certain elements of my wedding day and even took the time to find out what I DIDN’T want played. Skinnyboy Media made an event filled with 80+ people feel unique and personalized to my husband and me, but also had all of our guests engaged in what became just a really fun party atmosphere.

We gave him inspiration playlists for our ceremony, cocktail, reception, and dancing and he did a great job sticking to it and adding in other songs that were great. Our dance floor was packed from the beginning of dancing till the very end of the night (3 hours total). We also did the digital photo booth which was so fun for us and the guests and we got to have all the pictures afterwards. We are in our mid 20’s so we wanted to make sure some more current/popular songs were played during dancing and Tyson was right on top of it and knew exactly the vibe we were going for. Many of our guests said he was one of the best wedding DJ’s they’ve ever seen. I couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you Tyson!

I am very patient with matters like this but I don’t even think we waited longer than a day to hear back from Tyson. I was unsure of timeline with not much clue on how to put everything and he worked with me in minutes and helped put it all together! Everything was so simple to book, I gave him what I wanted and he made our dream a vision like a piece of cake. If his company comes across in your searches, look no further. The music was great, whether everyone knew the songs or not it got them on the dance floor. We love that they even handle the Photo Booth with a custom made neon sign and we didn’t have to book these things separately! Huge help! His fiancé does the Photo Booth and she is the sweetest thing on earth, our guests were even pulling her on the dance floor. Tyson and his fiancé were a huge part of our night and we cannot thank them enough!!

The dance floor was so crowded and not a single guest left early because Tyson curated the most perfect party through music. He kindly listened to all of our silly requests for song choices and also was able to gauge the crowd for what music they enjoyed. There was not a single song played that the whole room wasn’t dancing to and I was afraid to leave the dance floor to get dessert or a drink for fear of missing out on whatever the next song was about to be. If you are even thinking about using Tyson to DJ your event, do not hesitate. It was the best decision we made!!

DJ's that play the same old songs that are awful. Or they don't announce things at the right time or just don't communicate. This was my fear. I was recommended Skinny Boy Media from my photographer in Cincy. Then I noticed he was in Cleveland and I am located in South Central Ohio (where there are no good DJ's). I was so nervous that I was going to have a massive upcharge due to travelling 4.5 hours. I reached out and got a quote from him and discussed the type of wedding I wanted with the music and flow of things. He communicated amazing right from the start and was transparent in pricing and had no problem whatsoever travelling to Southern Ohio/Northern KY. Whew! Then I dragged my feet because this is a large decision. The website of DJ's are hard to tell what they are like. It's not like you can go to a wedding they are at and see if you like it, haha! But then as I looked on a Facebook group of Ohio Bride's to Be I noticed his name kept getting referenced. Which was a good hint. Then I talked to him further about uplighting and Photobooth services for the night. I kept delaying again... Then he reached out to me again telling me someone else wanted my date (July 8) if I didn't want it. That sealed the deal and I paid the deposit online. My husband and I completed a detailed form he provided on Google Docs to say what songs we wanted during what time. And what songs we did not want! We had a video chat with him describing ourselves, the vibe we wanted for our wedding, etc. We are 28yrs and wanted a middle school dance party vibe. I also didn't want songs switched every other minute, but transitioned nicely with reading the crowd. I also asked for some Disney songs during dinner. Man did he deliver!!! It was a party!! And he politely communicated with me during the night, asking if I was ready to begin the dances, the speeches, let dinner tables go to the buffet, etc. We also added a game from 4H camp called Bring-Me and he had it organized on his iPad, let my sister run the game on the mic, etc. The photo booth also sent photos to each person and I got a google drive link to all of them. I chose the Ivy wall with props. I did not choose to have a glow light in the photo background, but that is an option. The 30 uplights literally pulled everything together in the long room! (70ft x 30ft). He was on time, stayed till the end as expected. He also helped create a super special memory for my husband and I that I didn't even plan for! At the end (11:30pm) he had everyone go outside or towards the end of the building and he played "At Last" with just my husband and I. It was so perfect to end the night. If you made it this far...I hope I've convinced you to HIRE SKINNY BOY MEDIA!!! He will communicate like you want, provide a clear contract, provide uplights & a photo booth, travel to your venue without complications, keep things running smooth and do a damn good job!!
