The venue was absolutely stunning come wedding night. Everything was perfectly set up and decorated down to the last detail. The staff was exceptional to us and our guests making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, I have gotten so many compliments from guests that it was the best wedding food they ever had! Overall, our experience with SKY Armory was absolutely exceptional. I can’t say enough good things. We are so thankful to everyone there for there hard work and making our wedding perfect. It truly was the most beautiful night.

y manner. Lisa Gasque was our event coordinator and she was helpful, supportive, and vital to our big day being seamless! The food is delicious, from cocktail hour to dinner. The open bar allows you to customize special liquors you would like. The pastry chef is not only a wonderful baker but also creates exactly what you ask them to. I really cannot say enough great things about this venue or experience with SKY. They truly allow you to customize your wedding to how you want it, while providing invaluable insight into weddings as they have so much experience. I felt listened to and supported throughout the whole process. I'm recommending all of my friends and family to use SKY Armory!!

tance planning. We'd been to a wedding at SKY years prior, and loved the atmosphere. It ended up being the first and only venue we looked at. Rachael was our coordinator, and she was so, so helpful with planning and day-of. I always felt I could rely on and trust her! The same goes for Lindsey, their floral & decor designer. She is wildly talented and crafted the most gorgeous environment that worked with our vision and still exceeded our dreams. And the food is excellent! After going to a tasting event, we had our menu meetings over phone call (yay flexibility!) and had really positive experiences working with their chefs. We particularly had a lot of fun picking out the passed hors d'oeuvres because that was where we really got to showcase "us" even more. Overall, we had such a beautiful experience! Our guests did, too. We cannot thank ALL of the staff at SKY enough for how lovely and seamless the evening was!

We got married 9 months after getting engaged and probably booked the venue about two months after getting engaged. I knew I wanted the planning process to run smoothly and be los stress. SKY does the bar service, catering(including cake), and the decor (if you want), including the details and the flowers. This included the table numbers and welcome signs. Lindsey who did our decor is phenomenal. It was better than I imagined and the attention to detail is incredible. Rachael was our event coordinator, and she honestly was the best, easy going, informative and organized. She answered all out questions, and made sure the day ran smoothly. This was included in the cost of the venue. So we did not need to hire an actual planner. I cannot say enough how amazing that was and what a stress relief. The venue was right up our ally as far as the feel and style. It was very unique and we keep getting compliments on how cool the space was. If you want to have an upscale feeling wedding, at a non traditional venue downtown, this is the place to do it!!

She makes you feel so relaxed and she’s so easy to trust with her judgement, she made a huge impact on my experience with SKY! I would recommend this venue every time!

The food, drinks and desserts were all delicious, the photo booth was so much fun, and the decorations were exactly what we pictured! The ceremony room was so elegant and we loved the hanging treatment we decided to place above us. All the planning leading up to the wedding was also a breeze thanks to Katie! Communicating with SKY was simple via their online portal and they are very flexible when setting up your meetings. My wedding was a dream come true and this gorgeous venue made it all happen!

The planning was honestly seamless and relatively stress free. Our wedding planner Katie Sipple was fantastic and took care of every single little detail which made it “our wedding”. Although I know how wonderful they made events look- the night of our wedding surpassed my imagination!! Sky exuded class, sophistication and world-class customer service. Everything went off without a hitch (except for the photo booth being over looked). From the food, to the decor, to the amenities, and our wonderful team of dedicated staff- I would highly recommend Sky Armory for any event! They elevate event planning and execution in Syracuse. It was a one-of-a kind experience and we are elated with the outcome: which was a wonderful time had by all!!!

And gave us a timeline where we should be throughout our planning process (not just with the reception but for invites, honeymoon planning etc) The entire team is so thorough and really made us feel like they wanted our wedding to be best suited for us. They were very accommodating with special food allergies, and the many items I brought in to have at the reception (favors, center pieces etc.). They also had so many options of decor, food, drinks and desserts. All our guests raved about the food and especially the late night snack and desserts!! I can’t thank the entire team at SKY for making our wedding day so special and feel like us!!

They truly brought our vision for the evening to life, and provided a seamless reception experience for our guests. Most importantly during the planning stages, they made suggestions as to how we could shape the menu, bar offerings, cocktail hour, decor, etc. down to every last detail if we wanted to, without any pressure to add any costs we didn't think necessary. There we no inflexible "packages" or "tiers" as we encountered at other potential venues, and we were welcome to incorporate our own decor pieces, etc. The featuring of local food and beverage was a highlight for us and our guests as well. Our planner, Chelsea, was with us every step of the way with quick responses and resolutions even as we planned the entire wedding from out of town. We couldn't think of anything that SKY could have done better after the reception was over!

Once you pay the space rental, you are in total control of the cost and their staff help guide you through the process. If you want to DIY, you can. If you want them to take care of everything, they have pros on staff who can do it. In our case, we made our own centerpieces and SKY set them up for us. Their chef is excellent. He could easily have his own downtown Syracuse restaurant. We went with an upstate NY themed menu, and he delivered food that actually impressed guests, didn't just feed them. It was great to sit down with our families and taste the menu beforehand too. Seriously, can't say enough about the chef. The rest of the staff on the day of was also awesome. There is one lady whose whole job is to run around and do things/get things that you want. The venue, as an organization values local CNY stuff so that means a lot too. Our only complaint would be that there were some changes in their structure throughout the process so we weren't always 100% sure on the price and some details but it all ended up being exactly what we asked for and more than we expected on the day of. If you want planning your wedding not to consume your whole life (and savings) but still have a distinctive, delicious reception, we recommend SKY.

etely different from every other wedding. Everyone on the staff was fantastic. The design team created the exact vision we had in mind for our reception as well as the chef creating the perfect menu. Our wedding planner, Chelsea, was fantastic. She kept up on track throughout the whole planning process and really stress free when it came to the reception. We loved that the only additional vendors we needed for our reception was the band. Sky takes care of everything and it was amazing. I would recommend this venue to everyone for any type of event.

wedding day, it was all of that work, and then taken to an entirely new level. It came to life before our eyes. We also had a day-after brunch at SKY for our out of town guests, and that was also amazing. They repurposed much of our decor beautifully. Chelsea Brodhead was the perfect coordinator. She was level-headed, straightforward, and competent in all areas. Apparently my officiant was late to the point that they feared he wasn't coming, and I had no idea until the next day! That alone shows the amount of control and execution Chelsea can do. She is quick to respond to emails throughout the year, and is always up to date on your event. She encouraged me to relax and have fun when the day actually came, and seemed to genuinely care that I did. She was attentive to EVERY request we made. She is exceptional. Jennifer Christopher, who manages decor and floral, was immediately a great participant in our planning. She knew very early on that my goal was to use live hops for our beer-themed wedding, not artificial, in our decor/floral. Not only was she not daunted by this, the experience seemed to interest her. She went above and beyond to help us keep these giant plants alive for 4 days at SKY so that we could have them- that is commitment! Esther, the pastry chef, who we only met personally once, I am so impressed by. When we saw our cake that evening, it was one of the times I almost cried. It was the most elegant wedding cake I have ever seen. (And it was DELICIOUS). Jason Jessmore, the chef, received so many compliments from our guests. As the couple planning, what is really unique about SKY is that they don't give you a list of menus to choose from- they custom make the menu to your likes! You have a meeting with Jason where you discuss your favorite foods (for example, my husband mentioned that I love potatoes- and so they were featured during each portion of the night, but not overkill). We were so impressed by SKY. And it is so nice to have most of your vendors (food, cake, decor, most floral, and a wedding planner) all in one place. And it is in the heart of Syracuse. We wish SKY all the best, and thank you for a perfect wedding.

hotels and bars for after the wedding. Overall, our experience was incredible, and our wedding was amazing. We are so glad we choose SKY. Venue: We decided to rent the whole building (which comes at a cost as they are capable of having two weddings at once). The team assured us that we wouldn't hear any other weddings going on, but we spent the money to rent everything. We ended up having the ceremony on 1, the cocktail hour on 2, and the reception on 3. We also had our brunch the next day on the 2nd floor. A note on the bathrooms- so clean. The bridal bathroom was locked and big enough for 10 of us to wait for the ceremony to start. They also provided the emergency kits in the women's room. It is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator, also accessible to the parking garage next door. The interior of SKY varies by floor, however the staff can make the room look any way you want. Decor: Jennifer was excellent with the decor and worked with our Pinterest board and made the real thing so much better. We did not want to spend a lot on decor and they were not only able to accommodate our requests (and we changed our minds several times) but also offered their expert opinion on what we needed and could live without. We were hesitant on the hanging bubble candles, however they looked amazing the day of the wedding and flowed with the whole room. They know what they are talking about, even though we second guessed a lot. Food: OMG, so good - amazing. Not only was the tasting delicious (and they let us have 6 people there), the food on the wedding day was hot, tasty, and memorable. It is hard to pull off 200+ dinners for a wedding and they did it. Chef Jason was wonderful throughout the process. We switched up the cocktail hour food a few times and he totally understood our concerns. The catering staff worked their butts off to pull of the cocktail hour, dinner, and turn everything around for our brunch the next morning. We requested a lot of food for a cocktail hour and had nothing left when everyone moved to dinner. People were raving about the taste and variety of the food and thought the market table was beautiful. We wish we could go back and taste everything that was served (our photos went long). Desserts were spectacular. The pastry chef outdid herself. Every time we glanced to the dessert table (and we also had cake from Biscotti's) people were crowded around taking more. For brunch the next day, Chef stood for hours making on-demand omelettes. Still dreaming of all the food... Staff: The staff at SKY is very professional and accommodating. The day of, they pulled everything off- if there was a problem, we didn't know about it! Nicole helped organize our very large bridal party and get everyone down the aisle. She had the entire night timed out so we stayed on track (we all miscalculated the length of the best man speech which delayed salads). One opportunity to work on was that we were passed on to multiple people in the beginning and there wasn't one point person to deal with until Nicole took over. It would have been nice to deal with one person throughout, but we understand the turnover. Overall: Excellent and would do it all over again.
