Sky Retreat is an awe-inspiring wedding venue just one mile off the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. This 30-acre location is ideal for couples that dream of exchanging their vows among Mother Nature. Its elegant ballroom, rustic log cabins, and multiple outdoor activities are perfect for soon-to-be-weds to enjoy during any season.
Sky Retreat is nestled among lush rolling mountains and forests to give soon-to-be-weds plenty of privacy to host their dream day. Their Grand Event Hall boasts 6,500 square feet of space for you to design your dream theme. Sparkling chandeliers hang above the natural wooden floor, while large windows surround the space to cover your celebration in plenty of light and frame the spectacular long range mountain view. Its doors lead to an expansive covered veranda and wrap-around veranda for your guests to enjoy cocktail hour in the fresh air. During the evening, you and your guests can relax by the natural stone fireplace on the outdoor porch. For outdoor celebrations, the extensive, grassy knoll features acres of manicured lawns that make for a glorious space to exchange your vows. There is also a beautiful stone ceremony paver pad which is an ideal space for ceremonies to appreciate the long range mountain view near the waterfall garden. Gardens, pathways, and natural rock designs are present throughout the property for you to host your romantic photo sessions. Accommodations are also available onsite in the form of 14 log cabins. They boast cozy bedrooms, contemporary furnishings, and many cooking appliances to make you feel right at home.
Adventurous couples can partake in the property’s various outdoor activities, from kayaking to beautiful hikes to the local natural waterfall. During your time at the venue, you and your vendors will have access to the onsite dressing rooms, catering kitchen, and DJ area. Merin is a professional ballroom dancer, meditation teacher, paraglider and enjoys meeting the wedding couples and hosting their most special days at Sky Retreat!

we visited that no place would compare. The grand ballroom was spacious yet cozy with the string lights along one curtain wall and full glass windows on the other to enjoy the view. Having the wooden chairs and tables provided was so convenient and saved the hassle of rental, as well as the nice arbor choices. All the guests loved the covered veranda with the beautiful mountain view, fireplace, fire pit and heaters, which made a perfect place for a s’mores bar and taking their FB profile pictures, as well as alleviating my worries about an outside wedding in inclement weather. Beth was attentive and so pleasant to work with, and when we had to move the wedding date up a year due to a family member’s cancer diagnosis, Sky Retreat was so nice and accommodating in allowing and helping us change the date. Having the cabins on site is such a convenience and an added bonus to an already perfect spot. Dalton is so personable and willing to help however he can. He and everyone there worked hard to make things look beautiful and run smooth. They kept up with and fixed any issues that needed it and allowed us all to relax and enjoy the day. Friends still talk about how beautiful it was and the most amazing view for a wedding, and friends who see the pictures on FB ask me all the time where the wedding took place. It made for a dream wedding, and the entire Sky Retreat staff only added to an already amazing venue!

The staff was just as incredible—helpful, professional, and attentive from start to finish. They made sure everything ran smoothly and were always quick to respond throughout the planning process and the wedding weekend. Vito and Beth were amazing—always just a text away.
Having the cabins right on site was such a huge plus. It made things so convenient for us and our guests and helped the entire weekend feel relaxed and connected. We’re already talking about coming back to visit for one of our anniversaries!

our tour and canceled all of our other tours. Beth and Vitold are such lovely people who were so professional and able to answer all of our questions. Beth is also the most responsive vendor of all time. From coordinating our guests’ parking to ensuring the doors to the venue were open as early as we needed, Sky Retreat was truly the best venue. The scenery is breathtaking and even their rain plan options are stunning. The paver pad was perfect for my ceremony, with cocktail hour on the veranda and our reception inside. Their tables and chairs are amazing quality. I cannot say enough good things about Sky Retreat. Our guests have been raving about this venue saying nothing can ever compare. If you’re on the fence about visiting/booking Sky Retreat, look no further. We 100% recommend this venue!!!!!! P.S. the donkeys AND the goats are a huge hit with all guests — book them!!!

The Sky Retreat provides their full site for the wedding, at the top of a mountain overlooking beautiful mountain ranges. This venue includes a couple of outside venues, a wide expansive outside deck and a grand ballroom with a well equipped kitchen, bridesmaid suite and groomsmen room. We were also able to take advantage of the cabins on the property.
I can’t say enough about the magical time we had with beautiful mountains and fall foliage all around, goat yoga, visiting the farm, and then a perfect wedding day! Beth and Vito are so pleasant to work with, as was everyone in the area. I highly recommend this venue!

Now, onto the staff. These folks are the real MVPs. They’re super friendly, incredibly helpful, and always ready with a smile. It’s like having a team of fairy godmothers and godfathers making sure your day goes off without a hitch. From the moment we started planning to the final send-off, they were there, offering support, advice, and sometimes just a calming presence.
And then there’s the customer service. Top-notch doesn’t even begin to cover it. These guys are attentive, responsive, and genuinely care about making your day special. staff at Sky Retreat were always so helpful to give multiple tours when we wanted to come back and see it before the big day. The venue was the perfect size for our 100 guest count. I loved the wrap-around covered deck with the fireplace for our cocktail hour, and the large windows inside for the reception let our guests enjoy the beautiful view during dinner. The staff even offered to move our rented arch with the flowers from our outside ceremony inside behind our sweetheart table so we could repurpose it during the reception. I wish the tables and chairs were included in the rental price though, and perhaps some other items but that seems to be the trend with most venues today. Sky Retreat worked with us during Covid to move our date twice so we could have all of our family and friends there safely. I would love to see one or more of the cabins become a dedicated bridal suite/grooms suite for future brides as part of the rental agreement because that aspect is a little tricky and we had to rent cabins on-site and off to accommodate our large bridal party of eight each. However, the mountain views, convenience of ceremony/reception space all in one, on-site cabins for guests to rent, and the staff are all great and everything was better than I imagined!

I absolutely loved having our wedding at Sky Retreat! They are amazing and go above and beyond. It is a GORGEOUS Venue with STUNNING views!

oo my kids loved. As well as the most wonderful staff!
Our first dance was sadly not captured by out video camera. BUT Sky Retreat SAVED THE DAY by sending us their ballroom's video that happened to capture our very special choreographed First dance!!!!
They were so friendly, answered all of our questions, and communicated with us any time we reached out to them.
We plan to go back every year for our anniversary and stay at their cabins. Hoping to enjoy all the other things they offer and that are offered in the area!

ople there went above and beyond for us, not only on our wedding day but for the 2 years we planned it leading up to the wedding! They were so nice, always helpful, answered ALL our questions, accommodating and super supportive during the day of the wedding. We stayed in the cabins, along with the bridal party, and it was perfect to have everyone on site, definitely worth it. I can’t speak highly enough about Sky Retreat as a venue to get married at and the people who work there so just trust me when I say book your wedding here!

The owners and super easy to work with and very flexible. Even when I show them question after question over months they were quick to respond and willing to work with me on what we needed.
