Skydeck Chicago

We originally found this venue by searching for venues around the Willis Tower. We were surprised that the tower itself could be the venue! The cost of the venue was cheaper than anywhere else we looked and we jumped on it right away for our December 31st, 2014 wedding. Everything was spectacular. Our guests could not stop raving about the views, and still rave about them even after the wedding was 5 months ago! The 360 degree views practically sell the venue itself. Our wedding was at night on NYE, meaning that we were able to look DOWN on the fireworks at Navy Pier! It was incredible! The lights of the city illuminate for miles and truly give this venue a magical, one-of-a-kind experience. The wedding itself was on the private venue space of the 99th floor. The entire floor was our venue. After we ate, the staff took us and our guests up to the 103rd floor. That's the floor with the actual Skydeck, including the ledges. The ledges are glass boxes that actually extend four feet out from the building. The pictures were spectacular from the ledge, assuming you're not afraid of heights seeing as the floor on the ledge is glass as well. The staff was beyond helpful. It's a bit of an interesting process to get to the 99th floor. It includes 2 elevators and an escalator, (or just one freight elevator for the Bride/any handicapped guests) which in writing sounds a bit confusing. Thankfully, the staff was more than accommodating to make sure every single guest arrived to the 99th floor, with signs and staff onsite the night of the wedding. The venue provided wedding favors for us and our guests in the form of professional photos taken on the ledge. It's the same style of photo that can be taken with your visit to the ledge publically, but it's free and a great way to remember a wedding on top of Chicago. After the wedding, we received a gift from the staff in the mail with a handwritten note thanking us for choosing them as the venue. It was a book on the history of Chicago and it was so thoughtful. I cannot say more wonderful things about the Skydeck. From the kind staff going above and beyond to help us to the views speaking for the majesty of the venue itself, it was a night that I will never forget for all the right reasons.
