I used to be a former event manager myself and was very concerned that I wouldn't be able to let-go of being "in the details" but almost immediately I felt so comfortable and confident in Dawn's abilities that I was really able to turn things over and let her do what she does best!  You cannot go wrong with choosing to work with Dawn to plan your special day. ver a year away from my wedding date. Dawn took the time to chat with me and find out exactly what my needs were so that she could present me with which of her specialties she felt would best fit what I needed. Ultimately, Dawn’s event design package was the perfect match for us! For any brides that are feeling overwhelmed and over stimulated by all the wedding inspiration on Tiktok, Instagram, Pinterest this is exactly why I came to Dawn. I was lost in a sea of modern weddings, vintage weddings, classic styles, exotic styles. I couldn’t keep up with whether I wanted a certain style or if I only wanted it because I saw it online. I felt like I couldn’t come up with my own vision because I was being influenced left and right by social media telling me what I needed to have “the perfect wedding.” Right off the bat Dawn gave my fiancé (now husband) a questionnaire that really made us sit down and discuss our vision for the wedding- even if we couldn’t nail down exactly what we wanted it still got us talking about things we hadn’t even thought of. After reviewing the questionnaire Dawn got to work and when she came back to us with her design ideas and vendor suggestions, I felt the biggest weight of stress lift off my shoulders. Dawn had produced the most unique, beautiful, design that felt true to my style and had taken ideas I could barely put into words and fully developed them into something visual for me to picture the full event. Continuing to go above and beyond, Dawn came out to the venue to see it in person and continued to refine the details of the event as my vision became more specific. She spent time looking into vendors I had hired, to help me pick from their inventory. Gave me encouragement and advice when I was having trouble explaining to my florist what I was looking for and answered the numerous emails I sent whether it was months, weeks, or days out from the wedding. From the color and style of the wedding signs there was no detail to small and even if I felt silly at times emailing her over the color of a throw pillow, she was always there for me. The day of the wedding Dawn was there, again going above and beyond to over the setup of the event, assisting the vendors as they came in, and offering a helping hand where needed. She helped ensure everything had a place and looked picture perfect. Walking into the venue on my wedding day and seeing everything put together in all its glory was huge wave of emotion for me. I was speechless, it was more beautiful than I could put into words at the time. I spent a couple minutes just wandering around the venue and smiling at all the perfect details. My guests are still complimenting me on how beautiful the day was, and I happily tell them that I give all the credit to Dawn at Skylar Arden events. I seriously cannot recommend her services enough and will continue to recommend her to anyone in my life that is willing to hear me gush endlessly about her and her work!

w in an unforeseeable pandemic forcing us to postpone and I'm not sure how we would have managed if we we didn't have help. Dawn was absolutely invaluable. She basically handled everything with all of our vendors from making sure they all had the proper paperwork/insurance to organizing where everyone was supposed to be day-of. When the pandemic changed all of our plans, she found us a new date and made sure all of our vendors were available. She stayed up to date with all of the NYC regulations and made sure we were aware of what needed to be done to have a successful wedding. And we did. It was everything we hoped it would be.

before the wedding. From our first call I knew we were in good hands. Dawn was well organized, asked so many questions we hadn't thought of and very quickly put us at ease. She immediately got us on a plan of action and began communicating & coordinating all of our vendors and tie lots of details that were becoming overwhelming for us. Dawn got a "day of" timeline arranged within a week and ensured all our vendors were in agreement and all set for what they needed. Dawn was renamed "Dawn Divine" when she saved us from a near catastrophe when our furniture rental company failed to deliver ALL of our furniture the day before our 200 guest wedding (don't ever hire Boston Rustic Wedding Rentals!). Dawn calmly called me to tell me the horrible news and within hours had negotiated and confirmed to have another company fill in on ALL of our furniture. Just incredibly resourceful and quick. On the day of, Dawn and her assistant were on site timely and worked efficiently all day to make sure everything was running smoothly. Flawless day! From vendor & timeline management to decor arrangement every aspect of our day was perfect. She is amazingly sweet and easy to work with and is the utmost professional with her organization & planning skills. Can't say enough good things about Dawn. We will definitely hire her again for family functions and highly recommend her.
