- Raquel GonzalezViolinist, Violist, Arranger, OwnerRaquel Gonzalez (she/they) is a Chicago-based musician, composer, strings educator, arts administrator, and multimedia artist. She performs regularly on both violin and viola. In addition to their solo work, they contribute to studio recordings for bands across the Midwest. Raquel’s solo musical performances integrate electric violin, loopers, and effects pedals to craft layered compositions that balance structure with improvisation. Blending classical training with experimental flair, they create immersive soundscapes that fuse orchestral performance with modern music technology. She has appeared as a solo artist at prominent venues such as the Chicago Cultural Center and Elastic Arts Foundation. Their debut album, Sonic Creations for Violin & Lyra, was released on cassette in 2022 by the iconic Chicago label Trouble In Mind as part of its Explorers Series.
