about the ceremony music because I have been to several weddings where the DJ messed this up. The sound would go in and out or they would not cue the music correctly or on time and it was just so cringe and uncomfortable. Sloan assured us this would not happen because she does not use Bluetooth speakers like many DJs will do (iffy) and she also has an audio degree so so knows how to fix things! Anyway, it was all perfect and even the music before the ceremony music was great and set the tone. She fully customized our music and matched our vibe from the beginning to end and I can’t recommend enough if you are looking for a refined high end but super fun experience.

we met over zoom I had a gut feeling that she was the right DJ and her reviews were in fact for real. She doesn’t have a big social media footprint or anything because it’s not her thing. Personally I loved that fact since the majority of what you see is fake anyway! Anyhow, SO glad I reached out and booked her. Super authentic and what you see here in the reviews is what you get! My parents were even planning something special as a surprise, and she kept that a secret from me. But, did bring up the song to me to confirm I was okay playing it. The music was so great for the whole event. I got so excited when I started hearing the pre ceremony music, and that it was exactly as I imagined. My only note would be that our wedding unfortunately was slightly affected by one of the hurricanes in September, and there was concern over her being able to play if the venue didn't have a backup generator if the power was off. Something written in the contract, and we had no idea until day of. So make sure to be prepared for emergency situations. Very thankful for the work she did!!

people and guests remember is the music and the venue. So this is what you should be spending your wedding budget on if you want a successful event. AND because we wanted an uber personalized experience we were willing to pay a little more for that attention to detail and it was SO WORTH IT! I just don't get how people can spend so much on a wedding but will be so cheap about a DJ when it's easily one of your most important factors 🤷🏻‍♀️what a mistake! Without a doubt we wanted someone who was extremely well versed in different types of music and very skilled at working in a chaotic environment, because trust me in my experience that's what weddings are! We also are kinda picky about music and toe the line between eclectic and more mainstream with a nod to classic music- any genre. I guess we define eclectic. When we spoke with Sloan it was clear she had a sophisticated knowledge of music. My husband being a music major and me just a huge music consumer overall we knew she was the best fit. It was also important to us to not just be another number, as she only takes a limited number of weddings each year so she can provide a far more customized and detailed experience for her couples. She is very dedicated to making your event and music a one of a kind thing. So, we hired her because we wanted something truly special and unique and that is exactly what we got! It turned out better than we even imagined and was a magically magnificent time. We constantly get compliments about the music and the vibe she created with us!

match your vibe the party will fall flat or have mixed success and we DID NOT want that. We had a lot of original elements that Sloan incorporated and because we are serious music heads with an international guest list we wanted someone who could play to any vibe and group of people. We were able to have unlimited music requests. We got it! EDM, Latin, from old to new plus top40 and rap old and new plus a good amount of indie dance stuff. Even some middle eastern vibes thrown in. It was perfect and no one got bored or wanted to leave.

At first I just thought it was really cool that she was a female DJ. But, I can tell you without a doubt she’s one of the best DJ hands down I’ve heard throughout my years doing this. My head was bobbing and I even had to jump out on the dance floor with the rest of the crowd. I can also say that the rest of the group and the hosts were overjoyed and having the best time. Just came here to say that if I was hosting a wedding or big event this is exactly who I’d hire and look no further. Hope this helps someone!

lt, I learned a lot about what I did and did not want, and realized your DJ is probably your most important vendor decision because they basically run the night and Create the vibe, or in some cases can really mess up the vibe when they do not get it right …as I experienced more times than I care to mention. With our wedding, the ceremony sound and the timing was perfect. I can’t tell you how many DJs screwed this up at friend’s weddings. I guess it must not be an easy thing to perfect but Sloan absolutely came through for us. The cocktail and dinner music was exactly our vibe and created the perfect atmosphere. Sloan timed the dances perfectly even though we added some complicated elements with edited mash up first dance songs. The timing of the announcements also expertly done. Arguably the most important part, the dancing after dinner is where Sloan displayed the depth of her expertise. People danced all night, she played all of our favorites plus a few we weren’t expecting in a good way that just slayed the dance floor. I keep getting compliments every time I hear from someone at our wedding about the party vibe and how much fun they had at our wedding, like literally the most fun they’ve had at any kind of party. So needless to say we would hire Sloan again and again.

to hire. We explicitly wanted someone fun but who we thought would never be over the top obnoxious with announcements, lame jokes or yelling at people to dance. Sloan is a class act an amazing DJ and knows just what to play when, and how to edit songs down for maximum dance floor impact. We didn’t need or want all of that extra nonsense of constantly interrupting the music every two minutes with DJ announcements in attempt to “entertain the crowd”. s we spoke with weren’t really willing to get for us. We needed a DJ who was familiar who could blend all these genres and Sloan does many fusion weddings with many nationalities of music. She just got us and nailed our music and our wedding! Also a big part of hiring her was her authenticity. We really didn’t want someone over the top and cheesey or gimmicky like you get with most other DJs. Let’s face it, we live in a world of fake and posey. Fake Instagram and other social media. I feel like Sloan is one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets and so glad we found her! She’s authentic and genuine and really cares about her couples. She is not super slickly edited we really appreciated that ! She actually played all the music we requested (I’ve been to waaay too many weddings where this isn’t the case). She walks the walk and is the real deal. So professional and so skilled. Thank you Sloan for being so instrumental in making us memories for a lifetime!

Weddings require a special type of skill and a ton of expertise to pull off really well, especially just really listening to what a couple wants and asking the right questions. It was very clear she wanted to make our event special and stand out. You don’t get a chance for do overs here so choose your DJ very very wisely. If you want a first class experience, then look no further. Our experience was first class all the way. WE felt very taken care of and Sloan was very responsive and detailed to our million plus questions and emails. Plus she’s just a totally bad ass DJ and had us dancing all night! The ceremony was perfect with her doing the music and mic-ing, cocktail and dinner music 100% customized and also perfect! after dinner she kept everyone on the dance floor for about 3 hours, NOT an easy feat. She played one great song after another and edited them down for maximum dance floor punch. Her mixing skills are too notch and we were just blown away at how great it all turned out. TONS of compliments on how good she was and how much fun it was! Thank you Sloan for taking care of us the way you did and for being a class act and an amazing DJ all rolled into one!

When it came to ceremony music, I picked some pretty obscure songs, but this was no problem for Sloan! Everything was perfect for the ceremony! The reception also turned out better than I could've imagined! While we picked a majority of the music, Sloan picked the perfect songs to fill the empty gaps and made sure to put in some requests from the guests! People were out on the dance floor until we had to make them leave! Many of my guests told me that She was so amazing with song selection and arrangement that they had a hard time leaving the dance floor to go to the bar! My cousin even bruised his hip flexor from dancing so hard! If you are looking for a DJ that makes sure every guest is having the best time, I would definitely recommend Sloan!

We were nervous about choosing the right DJ because us and our friends can be pretty critical of wedding music, and she ultimately struck the perfect balance between playing all of our important songs and keeping a cool vibe and making sure the dance floor kept going throughout the night. Our venue also had some complicated aspects to how it was laid out, and Sloan did a great job coordinating everything with them and also helping us with our timeline. With the pandemic weddings can be a little more complicated, but just a tip to other couples, don’t make anyone feel obligated to come to your wedding - but you may be surprised how many will actually come! By the time ours came around Sloan had already done several during the pandemic so she really helped us a lot as far as suggestions on how to handle things in the best way and details you don’t think about. With Sloan you definitely get a lot more than what you pay for in my opinion having been to many many weddings, if you get it wrong especially with a DJ you risk the livelihood of your big day since the DJ basically runs the whole night. The ceremony was flawless thanks to her expertise with sound , cocktail and dinner music was even totally customized for us- not just throw away music for the background. Once the dance floor opened the music was also so on point. Her announcements were perfect , made the night run smoothly and never intrusive. We got so many compliments on the music from guests and even the other vendors which I think says a lot! She just really went over and above what I’ve seen all the other DJs do and created a supremely fun night FULL of dancing. Thank you so much Sloan, it was the best day of our lives!

nd how fun it was and so are our guests. it’s the one thing we keep getting compliment’s about. It’s a bit sad because said friend wasn’t super pleased with her DJ (people didn’t seem that into it either ) even though it was a well known DJ here on the knot with decent reviews. Maybe girls have to be better to compete like everything else they have to, and Sloan is clearly a pro at the top of her game. Not trying to ramble here but I’m just saying you should really get a good vibe for your exact DJ and what they can bring to the table for you , and not just their fee because you just can’t do it over . Anyway, I can’t say enough things about how you will be missing out if you don’t hire her. Do one good thing in this sh***ty year for yourself and your guests !

k after my wedding( we’re at about 3 weeks later) we had about 100 ppl and took the usual precautions. Most importantly Sloan was also the best! Everything what we could have asked for and took all of our special requests and just outdid what we thought was possible for the night. Also my mom loved her because she played her songs as some really cool edits that got everyone on that dance floor . She also did my ceremony and it was so spectacular which is kinda hard to get right at all epsecially if you are working with a low cost or less experienced DJ. She is at the top top!

ed a lot of Latin and Spanish music but I didn’t want to turn our other guests off. We had ethnically diversified guests and demanding family. Sloan talked me off my cliff so by the time the wedding came I felt so much better. On top of that it was the most perfect combo of music that had everyone dancing all night! No genre was left unturned. I know everyone says this but It was a true night to remember and Sloan ended up being a major aasset to our wedding. d no real wow factor and many were just cringeworthy where they talked too much and barely played music. Sloan is not that. She is edgy without being pretentious. Smart about music without being obvious. She gave us what we wanted without playing all the predictable wedding tunes in the predictable ways. In a nutshell she has style and great taste that only comes with experience and caring about what you as a couple want. She 100% listened to what we wanted and customized everything exactly how she said she would which is unlike other DJ’s who just play what they want regardless of what you ask for. Our experience at our destination wedding was extraordinary. If you care about music your DJ is the most critical decision you will make for your wedding. Do not price shop compare and look for the least expensive guy out there like the $1000 DJ’s . Those guys are all too common and unmemorable and will not give you anything special. Sloan will work harder for you and give you something better than what you even imagined for your day.
