Slows Bar BQ catered our wedding at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market and the food was AMAZING! We all went back for seconds and ate until we were borderline uncomfortably full because we just couldn’t help ourselves! Then, at the end of the night, all the leftovers were boxed up for us to take home and enjoy the next day. I’m still dreaming of their sweet potato mash, and our guests are still talking about how good all the food was!

We had Slows cater our September 2022 wedding cocktail hour and dinner at Downtown Market, and they were amazing to work with! The food was hot, delicious and we got so many compliments. They worked with us on vegan/vegetarian options for guests, identified allergens, and tailored the menu to fit our needs. Nic was very responsive in any questions we had and the staff was efficient in making sure everyone was well fed in a timely manner. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique and delicious wedding food experience!

Slows BBQ was a hit at our wedding! From the appetizers to the main course everyone couldn’t get enough. Ashley was great to work with and was very clear on COVID actions and kept us updated whenever we asked. The tasting was a big pro for us and sold us from the beginning. I am only giving 4 stars because there was a few times were they were too busy with events to get back to us in the final weeks, which is when we needed to finalize details - this was frustrating. We also brought to-go containers for our guests to take left overs which was communicated but then forgotten by their team. They seemed in a rush to get out of the venue which was noticed by our guests. We got married at the Downtown Market which has a Slows location on the first floor. Regardless of this, their venue charge was pretty significant. This seems odd since the Downtown Market limits you to a handful of restaurants, and they are only 1 floor away from the event space. Overall I would book them again in a heartbeat.

Would 1000% recommend slows catering for any event! Great communication through out the entire planning process (I feel like I asked a million questions and Ashley was always quick to respond). Food and service was AMAZING! Really can’t say enough great things.

Best choice we made on our wedding day. The food was amazing, they were on time, and everyone was super friendly. We did the buffet. It was lovely!

We used Slow's for our wedding and the buffet was just incredible. Our guests were blown away with how good it was and were so glad to have awesome food that wasn't your 'regular' wedding food. We've gone and returned from our honeymoon weeks ago and I am still thinking about the Brisket.

Slow's was hands down the best choice we could have made for catering our wedding. We can't even begin to tell you how many people approached us and told us how incredible the food was. We chose the Blue package with pulled pork, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, and potato salad. Kelsey their manager was just fantastic to work with. She answered every question we had with such professionalism and made sure we were getting everything we hoped for. Thank you so incredibly much.

Our food was incredible, and all of our guests raved about how delicious everything was. The staff at Slow's did a wonderful job making sure everyone and everything were taken care of throughout the night. Kelsey was great to work with and coordination of the event went very smoothly.

We had Slows cater our rehearsal dinner on October 28th at the Downtown Market greenhouse. The food was fresh, hot, and tasted just like the Detroit original! Jess, the catering manager, was great to work with and coordination of the event went very smoothly - a benefit of holding the dinner in the Downtown Market where Slows is located. We had 45 guests attend, and a good amount were from Dallas, Austin, and St. Louis - I was happy to be able to impress them with excellent BBQ from up north!
