When the wind ruined our grand bubble alter exit, Gigi waded through the bushes with our bubble machine to make it happen. When I had a misunderstanding with my stationer, Gigi drafted emails with clear and concise communication in order to resolve the miscommunication. When I felt like my husband and I were the only ones excited for our big day Gigi's positivity and support was unmatched! Through all the ups, downs, emotions, and joy, Gigi has got your best interests in mind and will exhaust all options to ensure that your big day is as effortless as possible! Gigi has become a dear friend and we cannot recommend her enough!

ent vendors for MONTHS before I made a decision, and I’m so glad I chose Gigi. She not only planned an epic wedding, but also an amazing welcome party too. Our wedding was supposed to be May 2020 at Middleton Place, but got cancelled because of COVID. Gigi worked hard to reschedule to a perfect date that worked for all of our vendors. Gigi was incredibly helpful and patient during the rescheduling of our wedding, and worked so hard to make our wedding everything we imagined. It wasn’t an easy task rescheduling our wedding (and I’m sure many more of her clients) but she always was in a great mood when we had our zoom call meetings even when I wasn’t! I have a tough work schedule and she was always flexible with our zoom meeting times. She worked so hard iron out every last detail of our wedding so that it was absolutely perfect. She executed our vision flawlessly and had so many great ideas and suggestions that ended up making our weekend of events memorable to all of our guests. So many guests at our wedding kept saying how beautiful everything was and that it was THE BEST wedding they’ve been to! We couldn’t be happier with Gigi and her team!

ion order due to Hurricane Dorian. I was devastated. Gigi literally had my entire wedding rescheduled for 11/2/19 in less than 3 hours. I am serious! It was Labor Day weekend and a Sunday and she was able to contact each vendor, have a conversation with them and secure our new date in November. She made this extremely stressful and disappointing time into the best situation it could be. I barely lifted a finger for his massive change. On our big day in November everything was perfect. Really! I know little things will always go wrong or not as planned but as the bride, I had no idea and that was what I wanted. It was all thanks to Gigi and her staff. She becomes a part of your family and friends. Someone that you want in your life long after your wedding. Gigi is extremely organized, easy to get in touch with, always on time. She will keep your day running smoothly and keep all your vendors in check. She is no nonsense when it comes to your day. She is nothing short of amazing. You will love her.

“above and beyond”, I mean she treated my wedding day, like it was her sister's wedding day. She was in contact with me all through-out the day, taking care of the things that I had no idea would need to be accomplished, items that you just can't task to your maid-of-honor the day of. But before, I dive into that let me tell you how she helped sculpt my vision. All girls have been dreaming of their wedding day, since they were a child. We all have Pinterest Boards of what we hope to have on our special day. Often our childhood dream and Pinterest Board have clashing ideas, yet we think a chandelier at the altar on a deserted island will work because it’s OUR day. Or at least I did! Gigi genuinely took the time to listen to all of my ideas, the dream I’ve envisioned and created since I was sixteen. She didn't once impose her ideas or the current trend in wedding magazines, she helped sculpt my vision honoring my culture, family, and religion while accounting our timeline. She was by my side to help plan for my wedding down to every detail; in less than three months. She was in constant communication with me throughout the entire planning process. And, when I forgot, she remembered! I never once had to follow up with her concerning a task. The day of the wedding, she handled every “last minute”, every “oops”, and everything in between. For example, the morning of, she went to Stella Nova, the salon for the bridal party, and prepped all of our refreshments and bridal gifts. The salon didn’t have ice for the champagne to chill with, so she ran to the grocery store and still created a beautiful presentations before the bridal party and I arrived. But that is not all, at the reception venue, R Kitchen, the air conditioning system failed. Did I mention our wedding was in July? In Charleston? Gigi, the wedding planner, quickly found a solution to accommodate all of our guests on the hot, humid summer night. She is literally, Wonderwoman!! She has followed up with me after the wedding many times, to ensure I’ve received the services from vendors such as my photographer and just to see how married life is treating us. I promise you, Gigi at Smells Like Peonies Events, will make your wedding personal and treat you, the bride, as if you were her sister. Gigi at Smells Like Peonies Events is truly passionate about seeing your day through and making it unforgettable!

My only regret is that I didn't get her full planning package. She is 110% worth it and her knowledge is invaluable!

Gigi went above and beyond. My fiancé and I spoke with Gigi every week, sometimes twice a week a little over a month leading up to the wedding. She had spreadsheets that listed out checklists to ensure all of our bases were covered and no detail was forgotten. She also created manageable task lists to help us prioritize what still needed to be done on a week-to-week basis. She kept us on track and focused in a non-stressful way that allowed us to enjoy the process and keep us excited for the end goal...to be married! The day of our wedding, it rained...something we hadn't planned for. But Gigi and her team didn't miss a beat and stepped right in to set-up the ceremony inside instead (along with revising a whole lot of other logistics). Not only did she pull it off, she pulled off an inside ceremony that still managed to have the same vibe and aesthetic as what I had originally wanted in the outdoor ceremony. Gigi understood my vision completely. She always supported me in the decisions I made but also gave her expert advice and suggestions when needed (which was often)! Gigi communicated with each of our vendors prior to the wedding, double checked contracts, instructed them in setting up the day of, kept the bridal party on schedule, guided guests as they arrived…the list goes on and on… all while checking in on my fiancé and I regularly. Yet, she remained calm and composed at every step. Lastly, Gigi was an invaluable support system. She knew when I was feeling worried or overwhelmed or emotional and she was there for me to talk through those things when I needed to. Gigi truly cares about the couples that she works with; there is no other way of putting it. We will miss working with her but hope to keep in touch! Thank you for everything Gigi!!
