ormed the inside of our home into a wonderland for cocktail hour, they walked back and forth from the kitchen to tent in pouring rain. From the initial planning stages, Karen always responded to us in minutes. The food was absolutely divine. Cooked fresh in our garage which magically became a kitchen in a matter of hours. The 72 guests were blown away . The staff where professional and smiling and attentive despite the very challenging conditions that they had to navigate on the day due to bad weather. It was the most glorious and wonderful wedding day for all. I cant recommend SMKT highly enough and would use them again and again in a heartbeat!

From start to finish, Karen and her team were highly professional, communicative, and efficient. We loved speaking with Karen during our initial phone meeting and knew from the start that we would enjoy working with her as much as we would enjoy the food her team provided. We had a sweet little tasting at the SKBT headquarters the spring before our event and had been hyping up the food to our guests since that night. Despite building insane hype, people remained impressed with the food and it exceeded our expectations. They did a wonderful job setting up and operating both the cocktail hour and reception. I had no idea how much responsibility the catering team carried until that weekend. SKBT also collaborated well with our coordinating team and rental vendor and you could feel that there was a lot of mutual respect between them all. ny, because it is a place that is special to us, it's a great spot for a live band, and it provided the feel we wanted for our day. The venue does not offer food nor does it have a full kitchen. Having amazing food at our wedding was extremely important to us. We wanted to offer a variety of small plates that were delicious and elevated, while still being unfussy. I searched and searched and when I found Karen at SKBT, everything came together. Throughout the process, Karen was professional, helpful and detail-oriented. She came out and did a site visit with me at the venue and managed any rentals that were needed day of. When our guest list crept up higher than expected with a month to go, Karen worked with the venue an rental companies to come up with a plan to maximize our space inside, while ensuring her team had what they needed to deliver fantastic food. Every time I spoke with her she assured me that she had everything handled and genuinely did not want me to worry or stress about anything. On the wedding day, when we arrived at the venue, the SKBT team came up to me immediately to introduce themselves and got us drinks and a plate while we finished photos. They confirmed the timeline since we were running a few minutes behind schedule and went to work. After that the frequent question we received from our guests and the brewery staff was "where did you find this caterer?!". Several guests referred to the food as "excellent". One guest told me that the food served at cocktail hour was not just the best wedding food he'd ever eaten but the best food he'd ever eaten. We served brats during cocktail hour and our guests from Wisconsin noted that, while they loved every bite, they didn't know how to feel about the fact that east coasters had made the best brat they'd ever had! The venue staff also raved about the food and how wonderful Karen's team was to work with. They were in awe of how seamlessly everything went and how well the two staffs, who had never met before, worked together. At the end of the night, the SKBT crew wrapped up all of the left overs for us, including our delicious cutting cake (made by them), and put it on the bus. I was told when I started planning a wedding at a venue without on-site catering, that off-site catering is not for the faint of heart. That is true, as there are many considerations and lots that can go wrong. However, if you hire Karen and the team at SKBT, you will be able to cross those worries off your list, knowing that you will have a partner in planning and the most delicious food you could imagine. Our venue had minimal setup for a kitchen, so they were in a tent with rented equipment and still came out with flawless food. We asked for help with rentals and the process was seamless. We highly recommend Karen and her staff.

Karen and Tess were so creative and excited to talk out menu ideas with us at our tasting. We were blown away and left so excited! Throughout the whole planning process, Karen was there and was phenomenal, helping to coordinate logistics, rentals, changes to our menu, and accomodations for dietary restrictions and severe allergies. Even on her busy days, she was communicative and insightful. Come day of, we were blown away! Everything was beautifully presented and delicious! The whole SKBT team was professional and warm. Instead of a formal dinner, they wanted a variety of passed apps, then passed mini-dinners and desserts (presented in cute biodegradable dishes) so that her group of 30 self-proclaimed foodies could sample it ALL. Not only did they deliver incredibly delicious food, but Tess and her team were friendly and helpful to everyone and created some beautiful artful food. Outside of some of the guests performances (ahem, The Humpty Dance) SKBT STOLE THE SHOW!!!! Working with you all was a dream and I need to find a reason to play with you again. 😙🫶🏻🫶🏻

The venue I selected required whichever caterer I chose to cook outdoors in a tent, so I wanted to work with someone from their preferred list who had cooked there before. I was immediately drawn to SKBT after seeing their food photos on Instagram. They were the only vendor I found who highlighted photos of their food, which was important to me since good food was my #1 priority. My initial impression of SKBT was correct! Every single dish they put out was phenomenal and we received only positive feedback from every person at the wedding. It's important to note that I have gluten intolerance and tasked SKBT with a fully gluten-free menu. My skeptical dad joined us for the tasting and was beside himself that the menu was fully gluten-free. He agreed that it's refreshing to have "wedding food", specifically appetizers, that isn't all deep-fried! We also had 4 vegans at the wedding and they were all thrilled about their custom plates. One vegan friend specifically said, "I'm used to eating whatever slop I'm given at weddings, so I am grateful for the delicious plate they made for me." We had THE BEST wedding planner, so we didn't necessarily need Karen to coordinate the entire event, but she jumped in and helped us with everything related to the rental equipment. This took a massive weight off my shoulders, as our venue was DIY, and selecting the correct rentals for both the caterer and the general event gave me a ton of anxiety. She worked closely with my wedding planner and the two of them were in lockstep, along with the rental company, and everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. Something I also deeply appreciated was Karen checking on us during the wedding day to make sure we had everything we needed. Karen also had one of her waitresses assist my husband and me throughout the day to ensure we had enough food and drinks -- I would not have eaten a single thing without her! My only wish is that I could have Karen and her team re-create our wedding menu for us to sit down and enjoy again. Both my parents and I agree that we will use SKBT for all future catering events.

D and her staff was so considerate to keep their masks on the entire time (both inside and outside in the heat). The staff was so incredibly kind and attentive. They made me feel SO special on my day, bringing me extra appetizers and sneaking me an extra spoonful of their delicious chocolate mousse! They were so incredibly professional and offered to help with tasks that were not even in their job description (like loading up drink coolers and putting out desserts we had purchased). They truly went above and beyond! It is clear Karen is close with her staff, because they all have such a positive demeanor that was contagious and really kept things upbeat! And the food- INCREDIBLE! I am so picky when it comes to food and my husband has food allergies. We needed everything to be gluten free, and SKBT was so attentive and considerate of these restrictions. The flavor and presentation of the food was AMAZING! My husband and I ended up eating our own meal and splitting one (I am obsessed with Karen's cauliflower steak!) I was SO full from the night because everything from the appetizers, to the meal, to the desserts was impeccable. Really the most delicious food I've ever had! The night of our wedding and most of the next day, 90% of the conversation with my husband and our family was about SKBT and how incredibly delicious their food was and their amazing service. We plan on ordering from SKBT for any function we have in the future, as well as on our anniversary every year (and dinners in between!) We are sad that our wedding is over, but are SO looking forward to using SKBT again in the future. Our guests are still raving about how perfectly cooked every bite was, from the appetizers to the desserts! My now-husband is also a vegetarian, and unlike many of the other caterers we talked to, this was not an obstacle for SKBT because Karen and her team have a very "can do" attitude. In fact, many of our dedicated carnivores were as impressed with the vegetarian options as the rest. Anything I asked for, SKBT did it! To top it off, I asked if they could serve pisco sour (a peruvian mixed drink) to celebrate my home country, and Karen didn't even think twice about doing it! It was so yummy, and even my super-picky peruvian family loved it. Karen was also great about communicating throughout the planning process. On top of all of this, when it came to the wedding day itself, SKBT were amazing when it came to the logistics. Setting up, and taking down the tables and table settings was quick and efficient, and their servers were attentive and always on the ball. The logistics were a major source of stress for us, but they turned out to be a total non-issue. Shout out to chef Tess and Jules (who made our breathtaking wedding cake). I could go on and on, but I just mostly want to thank them for making our wedding day a DREAAAAAMMMMM :)! Thank you, guys! Will definitely recommend them to everyone and anyone!

When our original wedding venue was canceled, it was a no brainer in choosing her for the wedding as well (we were so happy she was available that day) ! Karen took the time to sit with us and come up with a menu that was fitting for US and what we liked. From apps, to dinner, to dessert, she really customized our dream menu and made anything we wanted happen. The food was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful. Our guests are still talking about it. On top of the food and presentation, I need to reiterate how helpful, genuine, and courteous the entire staff was that day. There wasn’t a break in passing the appetizers which guests really appreciated. On top of catering our wedding, the team was extremely helpful in setting things up in our tent. From the setup of glassware and napkins on the guest’s tables, to the lighting of every single candle, the team made everything look BEAUTIFUL.
