Gene is an outstanding photographer and has the perfect friendly, calm demeanor for shooting a wedding. He captured everything we wanted and was creative in setting up some unique...
, gorgeous shots without being overbearing or taking too much time away from our enjoyment of the day. We're absolutely thrilled with our photos and can't recommend him highly enough.
Gene was a blessing on our wedding day. He was on-time, flexible, creative and extremely patient. He was able to organize and direct my family (which is much like hearding cats) an...
d our pictures came out amazing. We recieved our photos very quickly and his prices were more than fair. I highly recommend him for any and all photography needs.
Gene is the photographer I recommend more than anyone else I know. He has worked with me on lots of different projects. When my partner and I got engaged, the first person we thoug...
ht of to handle our engagement photos was Gene. We aren't your average couple...we are two metal heads with tattoos and music industry and tattoo jobs so, weren't looking to do anything too vanilla. We thought of a bunch of ideas and none were too weird for Gene. He made us feel super relaxed and took us around doing and capturing exactly what we wanted in a realistic way. Gene is a total pro and your pictures will come out looking boss. I have recommended Gene to multiple friends, family members, and more. All have been super impressed and blown away by his work, care, and professionalism, ability to adapt to any environment, and more. Don't think about hiring Gene, just hire Gene. No regrets.
If you have landed upon Smirnov Weddings photography page, then look no further for a photog for your special day! Gene is a legit pro- not just a typical wedding photographer (you...
'll find him behind the lens snapping portraits for PhillyMag and bands like the National & Waxahatchee). With creativity and experience, he consulted us 4 months prior to the date to chat about our journalism/band covers aesthetic. In our package he included an engagement shoot and gorgeous prints. On the wedding day, he and his colleague arrived early, and took 5000+ perfectly captured photos at the prior to the service and at the venue. Seriously, if you want professionalism, quality, and actual photos as art, choose Gene.
Gene was wonderful to work with and his photos were fantastic. We were thrilled to have found him.
Gene is much more than a wedding photographer. He's an artist and storyteller. He was able to editorialize our union beginning with our engagement photos, and straight through our ...
destination wedding weekend. He first worked with us on-site at a Giants tailgate, and somehow even made the Metlife Stadium parking lot look magical. He then traveled to our wedding in Captiva, Florida where he spent two days with us capturing family gatherings, welcome dinners, and the big day. The photos Gene took were more stunning than we ever could imagine. They belong in a magazine. He was able to capture moments we didn't even know were happening throughout our weekend, and delivered over a thousand photos that tell our story. No one could have nailed it like Gene did.
Gene of Smirnov Weddings is truly top notch! He met with my mother and I a few times before the wedding to ensure that all details were taken care of and that our wedding-day plan...
was all set. Gene has such a natural eye for capturing special candid moments. Although I was ill for my wedding day, Gene went above and beyond to ensure that my photos were incredible, and he documented the night better than I could have ever imagined. When I accessed our photos online, it felt like I was reliving my special day all over again, all thanks to Gene! Smirnov Weddings could not have made this a more professional and pleasurable experience for myself, my husband, and my family!
Gene Smirnov handled every detail personally. You can tell that Gene enjoys weddings and capturing those special moments as well as the unexpected. I highly recommend Gene to any...
bride who wants the memories of her day captured flawlessly.
We are so glad that we hired Gene to be our wedding photographer. We absolutely didn't want the typical cheesy wedding photos- we were looking for a photographer whose style would...
be classic, artful, and would capture the feeling and style of the day. After we met with Gene and he showed us his portfolio, we knew that his style was what we were looking for. Gene and his assistant were great to work with- very personable, and his communication with us prior to our wedding was excellent. Gene made taking photographs and posing for the camera fun, and we were absolutely thrilled by how the photos turned out- they look like they should be in a magazine! We also hired Gene to do a photobooth- which was the best $300 we could have spent on the wedding. The photos were hilarious, and all of the guests remarked about how fun the photobooth was. Gene even brought a chest full of his own props for everyone to use - what fun! We were also able to get photos of guests who normally wouldn't have been in the formal portraits this way. We would recommend Gene's services to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer- definately money well spent!
