Smoke in the Hills has catered our Dance team banquet twice now. Each time the food has been amazing! The service and communication was exceptional. Truly recommend them for your catering needs!!

They catered our wedding dinner in Fredericksburg, TX in early March of 2025 and they did an excellent job! Everyone in attendance loved the food, desserts and appetizers they provided. If they are available for the dates of your special day, stop reading this review and book them immediately - you won't be disappointed!!!

Smoke in the Hills is one of the best of the best! We have used them so many times over the years. The food is amazing! So many choices! And Kelly & Brad are consummate professionals. Their staff is well trained and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them for your next event!

I heard nothing but great things from my wedding guests about the food. They were also sweet enough to keep warming my husband and I’s plates up because we were too busy to eat at first. I would choose them again and again.

Smoke in the Hills is a great catering service, we were so happy to have them at our wedding. We went to a tasting on their property and got to meet Kelly and pick out the dishes. Given the expected number of guests, they were able to guide us to what numbers of food (numbers of appetizers, number of meats and sides and quantities, amount of desserts) to get and we ended up with few leftovers and everyone went home full (indicating they were right on with their numbers!!). They showed up on time and ready, they served the bride and groom the plates at the front table. All the food was so delicious. And they stayed to clean everything up after dinner. Our wedding was at a museum and the museum director said he loved working with them due to their professionalism. The price was very reasonable. We would highly recommend Smoke in the Hills for any event.

This was the best wedding food I have ever had. Smoke on the Hill BBQ made everything so smooth. They had everything set up beautifully and took care of anything. They served my wife and I first and they always made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

Smoke in the Hills delivers an all around 5 star experience. From selecting your menu to headcount to service details and add ons, they provide a seamless experience!! We could not pull off our event without them! Their food is delicious (we had chicken caprese with green beans and homemade garlic mashed potatoes...YUM) The team is quick to answer calls and emails and wants you to have the BEST experience ever! I ask a lot of questions and need details and they are always so kind in explaining and helping me understand how catering works and how food service can flow. They delivered HOT food right on time to our event and our crowd raved over their dinner!! Thank you Smoke in the Hills@!!

Brad and Kelly are hands down the best!! The service that was provided to us throughout our entire wedding planning and big day was tremendous! We had Smoke in the Hills for our rehearsal dinner food because we wanted our out of town wedding guests to experience some good Texas bbq food and they did not disappoint! They came fully prepared, set up and took down the food, and even prepared extra plates for me and my husband to take home with us at the end of the night! Our guests were very pleased with the food, especially our out of town guests. I’d highly recommend them!

Kelly and her team are superior. They handled our wedding at ring mountain flawlessly. We had an array of bbq and deserts. They were on time and didn’t need any prompts to handle our guests. Don’t hesitate to hire them for your catering needs.

We cannot express just how amazing this catering company is! From the first time meeting Kelly and Brad at our food tasting, we were shown nothing but kindness and professionalism. After trying the food, we immediately knew that we had to book them to cater our wedding. Our guests raved about how great the food was all night. The appetizers pretty much flew off the trays before dinner. If you want some excellent barbecue, you don't need to look any further than Smoke in the Hills BBQ. The hardest part was choosing what to serve because everything was truly so delicious. You won't regret booking them for your event, we cannot recommend them enough. Side note: the strawberry lemonade is top notch as well!

We hired Smoke in the Hills to cater a rehearsal dinner held in San Antonio. The food was absolutely delicious and our out of town guests especially appreciated having great Texas BBQ! We had a truly amazing experience with smoke in the hills!! We worked with Kelly for 2 years! And from our very first tasting back in 2019 we knew having them at our wedding would be perfect. Their food is so delicious. We had appetizers, dinner, and dessert and everything was a huge hit! We are still getting compliments from our friends & family about how much they loved the food. (Kelly even did these super cute charcuterie cups & the creativity + care behind them was just the best) Kelly was wonderful — through all of our pandemic wedding changes she encouraged us, was patient & kind. And she truly cared about us! We never once worried about anything with her. I would book with smoke in the hills over and over again!! They knocked it out of the park and I will recommend them to all my soon to be married friends!

We had an amazing experience with Smoke In The Hills! First of all, Kelly was extremely helpful throughout the whole process - from scheduling the tasting to feeding our wedding guests at the reception. The food was also absolutely delicious. We also needed a dessert table for the “groom’s cake” and it was very convenient to go through our caterer for brownies and pecan pie bars. My whole family was raving about the desserts and asking for recipes. We recommend this business to anyone. It was a pleasure to work with them!

Smoke n the Hills BBQ was fabulous! I was worried that the brisket would be fatty but it was perfect! We could not have been more pleased. If you love BBQ you have to book with Kelly and her family. We loved giving our money to a family owned business. The food is incredible but the joy they have in serving is also top notch. We received so many compliments from the guest on how great the food was and that was shown in the very minimal leftovers we had. I strongly suggest Smoke in the Hills and highly recommend the Jalapeño Popper Dip!

I planned a wedding for April of 2020 and when Covid-19 happened I had to postpone it. Kelly was very helpful and accommodating when I had to reschedule my wedding. Both Kelly and her husband were very professional and helpful, from the first tasting we had, to their professional recommendations on other vendors and all the way up to the wedding day. Kelly always responded in a very timely manner when I had questions. On the day of the wedding, they were on time, for everyone through the buffet line quick and brought mine and my husbands food to our table before anyone else got their food. We received countless compliments on how good the food was and couldn’t be happier with our choice to do business with them.
