I'm a true south Austin local, born and raised here. I began working in the restaurant industry in 2003, in 2021 I decided to go all in on my own business, Smokin' Brew-B-Q. Where I pride myself in not just serving delicious high quality food, but also providing great hospitality. My wife and I have dreamed about some day owning our own venue, where we can live our best life helping create wonderful experiences for so many people.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Ed brings over 30 years of experience in the food service industry and 15 years in catering to his role as catering director at Smokin' Brew-B-Q. Before joining Smokin' Brew-B-Q in 2023, Ed spent decades working in a variety of restaurant settings, honing his skills in kitchen operations, event coordination, and customer service. His background spans everything form classic American fare to large scale catering, giving him the versatility to handle events of any size. Since moving to Austin in 2013, Ed embraced the Central Texas BBQ culture, combining traditional smokehouse techniques with his own creative touch. His passion for great food and genuine hospitality shines through in every event.

mazing the food was. The first big plus for my husband and I, was that he offered for us to come out and try all of the catering food options for free before we made any decisions. My husband and I are both food lover’s, so we absolutely loved that Nick invited us out to try everything with 0 pressure or commitment involved. Immediately upon trying the food, we knew this was the place for us! Second, the price couldn’t be beat. We had researched several other options, but Smokin’ Brew was by far the best price for what we were getting. Other BBQ places were double to triple the price of smilies packages as to what we got with Smokin’ Brew. On wedding day, Nick showed up on time, everything was organized beautifully. There was absolutely nothing for my husband and I to have to worry about. And best of all, all of our guests LOVED the food. I had several people come up to me during the wedding asking who our caterer was because the food was sooo delicious! Can’t thank Nick and Smokin’ Brew enough for being such a big part of our special day, that we will never forget!

it, we were hooked. The seasoning on everything was spot on. We went with the brisket, sausage, chicken, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad. On the day of the wedding, they were set up on time, ready to go, and professional. They served up plates for my husband and I right away and served the guests buffet style. We had so many compliments on the food! Many guests said it was not only the best wedding food they ever had, but also some of the best BBQ in general. They cleared plates from the tables as dinner was concluding and packaged up any leftovers. We highly recommend!!

a food tasting with Nick for our wedding, who took his time to explain sides, meat variety, & even dessert options provided. The food was delicious. We didn't need any other food tastings with another company after our initial meeting. On our wedding day, Nick delivered the food himself from Austin to Dripping Springs, Tx in a timely manner based off our wedding itinerary we provided him with. All of our guests raved about the food & everyone was beyond happy with our food choices. Thank you Nick & Smokin' Brew-B-Q for adding flavor to our wedding. P.S. Smokin’ Brew-B-Q. With most BBQ places, it’s usually a toss-up—either the meat is great and the sides are mediocre, or vice versa. But not with Smokin’ Brew-B-Q. Everything was exceptional. We served brisket, sausage, and pulled pork—and every bite was tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoked. And the sides? PHENOMENAL. I’m still dreaming about that mac and cheese—it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. As I made my rounds during the reception, I kept hearing the same thing from our guests: “This food is amazing!” and “Where can we find this guy after the wedding?” People genuinely couldn’t get enough. Working with Nick was just as wonderful. He was incredibly accommodating through multiple changes in our venue, schedule, and timeline. Plus, his flexible payment plans made the whole process stress-free. If you want food at your event that people will remember—and rave about—Smokin’ Brew-B-Q is it. Truly outstanding.
