Smoky Mountain Lodge Weddings

I don't know where to start. Initially we were ecstatic about this venue for our reception. It was when we got to our cake cutting that I realized the Photographer that we paid for through the venue was not present. This devastated me, thankfully my mom is amazing and was taking pictures all night with my camera. Fast Forward to after, and I find out from my MOH that the venue was not originally set up correctly for our reception, I found out from my MOH that 1. there was no coordinator, just the caterer and DJ and 2. they were not told it was a wedding - just a party. So my MOH had to get them to move tables around and pull out a sweethearts table at the last minute." cause the problem wasn't just that it wasn't set up correctly. they literally didn't even know it was a wedding so instead of it being set up the way it should have been it was cramped and not comfortable for some guests. The Caterer and DJ were absolutely amazing. But it seemed like there was some communication break downs between the venue themselves and the caterer and DJ. If you are have a small wedding maybe 40 people this venue would be great for you but our wedding of 60-70 was cramped. The food was amazing, the music was great! Aside from our no show Photographer and cramped space, it was wonderful. *** We did email the point of contact for this location about the photographer not showing, and we were issued a full refund for the photographer.***
