gs was primarily contemporary, and I was fascinated by how she could take something you hear and turn it into something you could actually see and feel.  So when I finally decided to commission a piece, I spent a long time trying to find the song that felt worthy of being translated into a painting. I ultimately chose A Movement for Rosa, a piece that is classical in nature, and I wasn’t sure how she would interpret something so different from the contemporary music that had originally drawn me to her work.  She completely exceeded anything I could have imagined. She took this classical composition and adapted her artistic process to it in a way that truly brought the music to life. The painting is vibrant, powerful, and incredibly emotional. Every time I look at it, I see something different.  And as the light changes throughout the day, different colors, shapes, and details seem to emerge.  It’s one of those pieces that continues to reveal itself to you.  What amazed me most was how perfectly she seemed to understand what I had envisioned without actually collaborating with me on the painting. Before she showed me anything, we had talked about the feeling of the song, and I already had certain colors in my mind. When I finally saw the finished piece, she had independently chosen those exact colors.  It was almost uncanny—and a testament to how intuitively she connects music, emotion, and visual art.  I’ve had the privilege of watching her work and artistic vision evolve over the years, and she has grown into an extraordinary and remarkably versatile artist.  I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Art inspired by art. The definition is synesthesia without the lengthy explanation. It's not often you'll see such laborious work created so diligently and consistently, especially in the modern world where visual art, created by and reflective of the experiences of humans, is at threat of obscurity due to countless factors that needn't be named. The making of something that has never been made before. The culture of the visual art world is often shrouded in pretentiousness, but Laura's work is anything but that. It commands respect without demanding it.
