rent review. Cons: 1. Communication/Availability I wished there was more communication and meetings with my event planner. There was a lot of untimely responses in the beginning up until 2 weeks before the wedding. Another bride that used this event planner reached out to me to ask how things were going because she too shared in similar experiences, feelings, and dissatisfactions. 2. Vendor Fee/Service Provided I paid an additional fee for vendor services, but I ended up doing a lot myself with the vendors. Overall, I feel like more vendor services should have been provided for that fee. I did not feel like the additional service was worth the money, especially when I am someone who does not mind planning and coordinating. 3. Attitude On a few occasions, I had sensed irritation or lack of understanding when reaching out for questions, concerns, or reassurance from my coordinator. I will say, I did change my mind on a couple ideas, but I feel that is part of wedding planning and pinning down design ideas for such a special day. Additionally, multiple people in my wedding party complained about the way my coordinator spoke to them day-of. I truly believe I have a respectful and kind group of friends and family, so this was disappointing to hear from others. Prior to wedding day I would have provided 2-3 stars as my rating, but.... Pros: 1. Knowledge/Recommendations Leave it to the pros! Social Butterfly knows all the great vendors and has amazing connections! Their knowledge of the industry truly shows and I greatly appreciated that! 2. Day of Coordination Unmatched! Truly, this is where you need an event coordinator to show up and shine...and Social Butterfly did just that! The seamlessness and dedication to making my big day exactly what I envisioned, is why I am bumping up the rating. In this area I truly would give a 5/5! 3. Problem Solving/Helping Hand I ended up having a MAJOR hiccup with my flowers that I was truly devastated over, but Social Butterfly swooped in and reassured me that they would fix it and they did! Thank you! 4. Good People/Wonderful Staff The owner, Marcie, is truly I wonderful person, so again, it makes it hard to leave a review like this. Also, I love Brittney! I believe she is the head assistant…either way she brought so much positivity, reassurance, and “GOOD VIBES ONLY”! Such a gem! If you get Marcie or Brittney on your wedding day, you’re in great hands!

even went with me to pick out the tables, linens, dishes, etc. She was very professional the day of and really kept everyone on track. I don't know what I would have done without her, because she really kept things in line!

became obsessed! Not only did she catch on to the vision we had for the day and what areas were extra important to us. She brought humor and excitement to every meeting we had, which eliminated a lot of the “wedding stress.” Charyl has great connections with amazing vendors around town and she was able to put together our dream wedding! She and her team were constantly there for us throughout the night to make sure we did not have any stress and could enjoy ourselves! You will not go wrong with Social Butterfly!!

l look no further because Charyl from Social Butterfly Events is your girl! When we first met she took the time to meet us in person which is not something every wedding planner will do. She was easy to contact throughout the whole process even when Hurricane Florence blew through and disrupted everything. She was such a good mediator between my mom and I and had great suggestions that helped us save time, money, and effort. Leading up to the wedding Charyl was just a phone call or a text away and she made sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding. WOW. It was perfect. There wasn't a single hiccup and everything was on time. The ceremony and the reception was so beautiful. My husband and I had to step away during the reception so we could take it all in. Every minute detail you could thing of was taken care of by Charyl and her kick-ass team. They even brought Cale and I our food so we could sit and talk to the guests instead of waiting in the buffet line. Her team packed up the venue so quickly at the end of the night our families didn't really have anything else to do. Charyl is an amazing person who is kind, understanding, and isn't afraid to get stuff done. I guarantee you will have the wedding of your dreams if you hire her. She is the best! Ok, I'll stop fan-girling now. <3
