Social Graces Ballroom Dance Studio

My husband and I were married last month and had our wedding reception at Historic Rosemont in Berryville, VA. We started planning our wedding about a year ahead of time, and one of the first things my husband wanted to schedule in preparation for the big day was dance lessons! My husband had never danced until we met Maria at Social Graces, and he was pretty apprehensive about the wedding reception “First Dance”. Not to worry, we were in good hands with Maria. What a great teacher she is! Picture this: You see a man in front of you who has never danced, and now he can foxtrot, rumba, cha cha, waltz, tango, and swing dance—now that’s a complete and total WOW!!! Maria has a wonderful way of breaking down even the most complex dance steps into small pieces, and before long all the pieces fit together into a lovely whole! She is very talented, and has a great sense of humor, which makes the lessons not only very instructive but also lots of fun! Freddie worked with us, too, to help refine some of our dance skills and he is also awesome. Very talented, friendly and easy to work with, too. Social Graces is a wonderfully warm and welcoming dance studio, even for people who have never danced a step in their life. We liked our dance classes so much that we have continued them after our wedding. At first we were dancing there to get ready for our wedding reception “First Dance”—now we’re dancing there just for fun!

Freddie was so great to learn from and work with. He taught us a lot of basics about dance (which we didn't know at all) and choreographed a dance for our wedding. Freddie was so fun to work with and we looked forward to dance lesson nights (and I'm not a person who loves to dance either). We learned a lot, we laughed, and the end product was great. SO many people commented on how they loved our dance and it was something we accomplished together. Freddie also DJ'd our wedding and did a great job and even taught the crowd some moves. We loved taking lessons at Social Graces and will be back for more! Thanks, Freddie!

Not only did we learn two cool new dances(slow rumba which transitioned into a surpise fast paced, sexy cha cha, we had a blast while doing it. Danielle was our instructor and we worked with her over a period of approximately 3 months. She is highly recommended!
