at just 9 days prior to the wedding and that left us scrambling to find a wedding cake provider. We found Lucy at Sofelle Cake Artistry and she responded to our needs immediately, met with us and provided samples, and made the whole process very easy and stress-free! She customized the cake exactly as my daughter wanted, didn't charge us any rush fees or crazy up-charges for using our florists' fresh flowers (beware - some bakeries will charge you for using your own flowers but not Lucy!). When we saw the 3-tier stacked cake with the fresh flowers cascading from the top tier to the bottom tier, we were blown away at how beautiful the cake looked! It was very elegant and timeless. Everyone commented on its beauty and when we tasted it, we were all overwhelmed by how scrumptious it was. We had some tiers with white cake, raspberry filling and vanilla swiss buttercream, then a chocolate tier with raspberry filling, chocolate buttercream and ganache filling. The cake was moist and flavorful. All the fillings complimented the different cake layers beautifully. The icing was light, creamy, had a wonderful flavor and not too sweet, just right. The exterior was all vanilla swiss buttercream in a linear pattern with our fresh flowers and olive leaves. It was simply beautiful and tasted awesome. It was so good that we ran out of cake at the wedding! Everything about the wedding cake was perfect and everyone was overwhelmed by its' beauty and taste. Did I tell you we ran out of cake? That speaks volumes. Lucy is a consummate professional that cares about providing a beautiful cake that tastes as good as it looks. She is authentic, warm and genuinely a wonderful person. I can't say enough about how delighted we were with Lucy and the cake. She captured everything perfectly and was a real pleasure to work with. was difficult to find someone in Orlando who uses Swiss Buttercream in her desserts, but Lucy was the diamond in the rough! We did alternating layers of raspberry buttercream/white cake, and white chocolate buttercream/lemon and lavender cake, and I've never tasted anything better. It was to die for! The watercolors and design were perfect; we even ordered custom "feathers" off of Etsy with different quotes on them, and Lucy brilliantly arranged them around the cake, adding the final touch. I cannot recommend her enough!

Before we even began tasting the cakes, Lucy asked me questions about what I envisioned for my cake and began sketching my thoughts. She was patient while trying to narrow in on my specific design and style. I loved that she took her time with me and let me figure out what I wanted. Her cake flavors are delicious! We tried three flavors that day but we decided to go with our favorite one which was the chocolate cake with cookies and cream. It was moist and not overly sweet. Working with Lucy was a pleasure. e of our overall wedding design, which included a lot of flowers and earthiness. Lucy loved the design and embraced the challenge of having to create MANY miniature flowers made out of gum paste. The ending result was simply beautiful. The most difficult part of the wedding cake process was having to choose which cake flavor we wanted, all three of the cakes we tried during the tasting were so delicious. We almost had a different flavor for each layer of our cake, but decided her Red Velvet and Raspberry Champagne flavors were the crowd pleasers. We highly recommend Sofelle Cake Artistry, they have an amazing menu of flavors and their prices were beyond reasonable.
