My name is Sissy Stricklin and I am the owner & creative lead of Soirées by Sissy, a boutique wedding planning and design firm. I am known to be sweet, but a focused straight shooter who can make magic happen. With a charisma that engages all who work with me, I remain calm & collected no matter what. There isn't anything I can't handle on wedding day (ask me about the time I transformed a restaurant into a ballroom in 14 days).

ed to know if I asked her to take care of anything that it would be handled and I would not have to deal with it. I didn't get the most expensive package that Sissy offered, I chose the middle package, which was like the 6 weeks before the wedding package where Sissy really comes in. My daughter was doing a lot of work towards getting things finalized and Sissy was helping with that. The only thing is when my daughter would text Sissy, she would be late to respond to texts or emails, which is nerve-wracking. Before the wedding, the police escort had the wrong address and we were 20 to 25 min late. Sissy was at the location where we all got in the limo, and the escort was there. She should have confirmed the address with him. He said Sissy texted him the address. At the wedding, Sissy and her people arrived at the venue before us and they missed the fact that there were no reservation signs on our 4 tables that were for the mostly the older family relatives. Our 80 something year old relatives had no reserved tables. Also, we had requested 2 specialty cocktails that were to be served, and they were nowhere to be had. Sissy and her team should have made sure these tables were reserved and the cocktails were ready to be served. Initially when I got to the reception and found out these 2 things, I looked for Sissy and could not find her so I had to deal with these things myself. I found her after and expressed my disappointment. She said she would address it, but it had already happened. There were other things that I could list that happened but I'll leave it at that. I wanted to feel like a guest at my daughter's wedding and not like I was putting out fires. I hired the wedding event planner, Sissy, to do that and that unfortunately didn't happen. This was my first daughter's wedding and I learned a lot. I hope Sissy did, too. As a person, Sissy is very likable. She just did not fulfill her duties as expected. She was helpful with some things, but on the DAY OF THE WEDDING, she needed to do a lot better.

She transformed a restaurant into a wedding venue. The restaurant was a local establishment in Gretna, therefore, the majority of the guest who attended knew it as a restaurant. Upon entering into the restaurant, everyone was in awe. Sissy's imagination transformed this venue into my daughter's dream wedding. Sissy used backdrops, greenery walls, creative lights, and unique decorations. Sissy had unique ideas. Guests were welcomed by oyster shells instead of the traditional welcome book. A time capsule was there for all guess to leave messages for the wedding couple, just to name a of few of her creative talents. She did all the flowers for the wedding as well. She made working with a wedding coordinator (the first bailed out after covid) a dream. With 2020 being doom and gloom, Sissy did all of this in 2 weeks and was with us through the whole day of the wedding. NOT a detail was missed. I don't think you will be disappointed with her as your wedding coordinator or her additional services she offers.
My wedding day was flawless, no detail left untouched thanks to sissy and her team!
