I truly can’t say enough about Elena and her team at Sokayri after having alterations done for both my bridal gown and my mom’s mother of the bride dress. From the very beginning, Elena was warm, welcoming, and so kind. Elena and her team made what could normally be a stressful process fun and seamless. The work that they do is amazing and they helped to make my gown and my mom’s dress fit absolutely perfectly. Our dresses looked and felt amazing all day and night and we owe it all to Sokayri! They are so supportive and were flexible with timing with my busy work schedule. They even went above and beyond to fit me in for appointments when my mom was in town from out of state. I would highly recommend Elena and her team at Sokayri - it was such a pleasure to work with them!

I would not recommend alterations at Sokayri. The services were exorbitantly overpriced for the quality of workmanship and the customer service was horrible. I used them for my wedding dress alterations and the entire process was incredibly stressful and unpleasant. I paid in full in advance and then had to argue for the work that we had agreed to. Multiple times alterations were made to my dress without consultation with me. Overall, the tailor was unprofessional and unpleasant to work with. He was dismissive when I expressed a concern or opinion different from his, and consistently cut corners. He made poor quality alterations that then had to be remedied with additional appointments and outreach to the owner, he took phone calls during my appointments and openly pressured customers for tips. In the end my dresses (my gown and a custom party dress) did not fit appropriately, but there was no time to keep going back and forth as my wedding was just a few days away at this point. The custom dress came out looking cheap and flimsy and a clasp popped on my gown during my wedding due to poor fit. I was pressured into signing off on the work (the consultant literally followed me to my car and said I could not leave without signing). I also would not trust the reviews online. After I posted this review on google the owner reached out to me to share a sympathetic story, confirming that this had been an issue for several customers. She expressed a desire to "make it right" and I shared that I'd be happy to edit or remove my review if a refund was provided, as the service I paid for was not what I received. She told me to contact her to discuss the amount I would find acceptable. When I suggested a full refund she quoted her attorney and said she was not legally obligated to give me anything. She offered me $500 IF I took down the review (a nominal amount in relation to what I was charged) and accused me of trying to set them up since I wore my dress to my wedding and didn't share my experience sooner. I don't know what bride has the means to find a new dress three days before her wedding or wants to spend their honeymoon reliving the most negative aspect of their wedding! If they truly wanted to make it right that may have changed my perception, but that was clearly not the case. I declined her offer, but I am sure there are others who gladly accepted. The interaction was misleading and unpleasant, confirming my other experiences at Sokayri. Save yourself the stress and money and choose somewhere else.

I had the pleasure of working with Sokayri Atelier for my bridal alterations, and they couldn’t have done a better job. I wore a silk slip-style gown, and Danilo provided expert opinion on how to handle the fabric (including letting me know risks of certain alterations, which I appreciated so much) and added the most gorgeous subtle and sleek French bustle. Beyond that, the weather on my wedding day caused a lot of water and mud damage on the bottom of my dress and shoes, and Sokayri was able to get the dress and shoes almost like new again, despite silk being such a fragile fabric! It was really an incredible job done. I trust Elena and Danilo with any alterations, tailoring, or cleaning I could ever need - they are artists and incredibly skilled. Highly recommend!

The experience at Sokayri was so enjoyable, all of the fitting appointments were fun, comfortable and Danilo was so knowledgeable. He guided me to what would be right for me and the dress, but was never pushy, and all of his advice was perfect. He listened to exactly what I was hoping for and executed perfectly! I looked at a lot of places to entrust with my dress alterations as there was some significant changes I wanted to make, and I am so grateful I went with Sokayri Atelier. Looking back I wouldn’t trust my dress to anyone else for such a special occasion. It’s scary trusting someone to do alterations but I would trust them with anything now. Highly recommend to any bride!
