Solaria Strings

Based in Chicago, IL, Solaria Strings is an all-female string ensemble that entertains wedding-goers within the city and surrounding areas. The group consists of highly-trained and talented musicians, all of whom take delight in complementing special events with elegant classical and contemporary music. You and your significant other are bound to be impressed by their superlative playing abilities, friendly personalities, and eclectic repertoire. They offer additional group sizes to assist in tailoring your individual needs, such as a solo string player with recorded accompaniment music, duo, trio, or quartet. What sets them a part from other ensembles in the city is that they rehearse and perform together on a regular basis. Many groups who play at weddings will have met each other just prior to the event, and will be playing together for the first time. They pride themselves in dedication to excellence and providing the highest quality music and professionalism to each and every event. Bringing an element of elegance and dressing in a more formal manner is another way in which they add to the ambiance. Though much of Solaria’s repertoire features classical tunes, they also enjoy playing music from other genres such as pop, jazz, and rock. They can accompany each stage of your celebration, from your rehearsal dinner to your wedding reception. If you desire a tune that is not on their setlist, they are happy to learn and perform it in their own distinctive style. As Solaria’s coordinator, Rachel Mossburg has been captivating audiences with her exceptional string playing for decades. Having performed with many of the Midwest’s finest orchestras, she is well-versed in knowing how to dazzle a crowd. Her most recent and exciting opportunities was being able to share the stage with Michael Bublé for five shows during his 2021 tour, and playing in the 18-piece orchestra for the Netflix series "Our Planet," live in concert production for 10 weeks. She graduated from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and met the other musicians shortly after her move to Chicago. Having grown up in a family of string musicians who performed together from a young age, Rachel has played in over 250 weddings. Her wide range of experience and expertise in this area is what inspired her to create Solaria Strings. Together, the string ensemble strives to provide their clients with unforgettable musical experiences.
