Look no further for a photographer!!! There are no words I could write here to describe how incredible Katie and the Solas and Kin team are. I hired Katie back in 2017 for our wedding. After two postponements, we finally had our wedding November 21, 2020. Katie was there every step of the way and has become a friend over the years. Katie honored our original deposit and payments. She moved her schedule around for us. At one point she even offered her own property as a venue when covid forced us out of a reception venue. She has been more than accommodating and helpful every single step of the way. Our engagement session was so fun, and we felt comfortable with her immediately. On our wedding day, she shared our excitement. Katie helped make sure everything ran smoothly. We laughed all day long while she snapped photos of every moment. She has an incredible eye for photos, and the images we have received from her from both our engagement and wedding sessions have taken my breath away. The photos and friendship that Katie and the S&K team have provided will be cherished for a lifetime. Do not hesitate to hire them for any of your photo needs.

You can look and look and look, but you will never find a photographer like Solas & Kin! Documentation of my day was really important to me. The number one regret I have heard from others, is that they tried to save money during their wedding by hiring a very cheap photographer and ended up hating their photos. I knew this would not be me. I knew I could cut out programs, and favors, photobooths and sparklers, but I was adamant that I would have pictures that I would absolutely treasure. Then I found Katie. The first time I met with Katie, we ended up talking for hours, about everything under the sun. She was an amazing human and her passion for her work was quite obvious. I knew I would book her without even seeing her prices. Then, after looking through her portfolio and falling in love with her talent, I saw her prices and couldn't book her fast enough. I was pumped! We had our engagement pictures done at Devil's Lake, and Jordan and I left that session grinning ear to ear. I cried the day I got my engagement pictures because they were gorgeous, and I knew my wedding photos would be breathtaking. During this time Katie and Brieana decided to partner and open Solas & Kin Photography. They made the transition for us simple and gave us the utmost faith that everything would work out wonderfully. Our wedding day came faster than we could believe and Katie and Brieana were fantastic. Of course we had stellar photos, but I can't help but emphasize how amazing these two are to work with. Their personalities compliment one another so well, and it makes way for an amazing experience overall. All of our guests and our bridal party could not help but fawn over these photographers. I even received calls and texts in the days following the wedding that were just emphasizing how pleased people were to work with Katie and Brieana. Long story short, these two are doing exactly what they are meant to be doing. If you have the chance to work with them, you hands down need to take it. Your expectations will be far surpassed. Sure, maybe anyone can take a picture... but most people can't capture these important moments, and turn them into amazing pieces of art quite like Solas & Kin.

Aside from her insanely unique talent, Katie’s personality is exactly what you want. She’s calm, honest, inspiring, funny & laid back!
