Hired them to do my wedding in 2018. The DJ they hired Chris played the wrong song for the father daughter dance. During the middle of the toasts, my sister goes to check that the father daughter dance is coming on next and at that time the DJ says he can't play that song because he doesn't have it. He never told me, I only found out because my sister went up and asked. Then my sister asks him to delay the song and says she will download it for him (the DJ) who seems completely confused. She asks him what it was supposed to be and he tells her a song - not the one I had emailed to him and also discussed with him in person. So that wrong song is downloaded and played because he told her that's what it was supposed to be. We went up and looked at his area and he just had a bunch of notes scribbled around and one of them had that, completely disorganized. Then he told me he couldn't get the right one loaded. My sisters ended getting it up on YouTube and it was played later for us to dance to. Didn't edit the processional as we requested, started the processional before I was even there...Blocked our shuttle with his car in a space clearly marked, was in the background during photos with his equipment even after being asked to move...Guests didn't find his jokes funny, played songs I didn't want like "Natural Woman"...not really the vibe I was going for... There is a long list of more. Ended up getting into an argument with him and he was a jerk to me and my entire family about all the mixups, and he was kicked out. We played the rest of the night with our own equipment. Solid Gold offered me something like $200 off with condition that I not post a negative review (which I did not take and paid in full), and also threatened legal action. I didn't post review until recently watching my wedding video again, I wish I had the father daughter dance I had asked for. Fortunately hiring this DJ was the only regret of our wedding. I

Dan was our wedding DJ, as set up by our venue. I was a little nervous not being able to choose our DJ, but Dan did a great job! He took our vision for the night and ran with it, and helped us make the adjustments we needed to our plan to ensure the night ran smoothly. He was flexible when we impulsively decided to skip the cake cutting, and did a great job helping us flow through the different elements of our night - even a few added events that we requested he throw in for us. When it came time to make it on the dance floor - it was packed the whole time! We were able to put in a list of songs we wanted to have played, and he did a great job of mixing those in with some other song that were also big hits. When he invited everyone up for the final song, everyone actually came up - that's the sign of a good DJ for you. :) We definitely recommend you work with him.

Dan was our wedding DJ. Dan was so easy to work with. He clearly paid close attention to the questionnaires we completed and really took our requests to heart. His client portal website is awesome because it allows you to select songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, the reception, special songs, and even do-not-play songs, which was awesome. We had issues with our microphone at one point during the reception, and before I knew it, Dan was right there to fix it. He played a mix of our requests and also songs that he knew from experience would be a hit. I didn’t specifically request any slow songs because I love to dance, but when Dan played a few of them, I noticed a lot of our guests appreciated the slow songs. It resulted in a good balance for our guests - nearly everyone found themselves dancing at some point, which was the goal! Great job Dan thank you!

My husband and I love music and the fact that we could choose all the music on the handy website was amazing! We did have live musicians for parts of the evening Dan worked so seamlessly with transitioning between the two it was great! We would highly recommend Solid Gold Productions!
