Mase helped coordinate the flow of everything from the ceremony, the grand entrance, the first dance. The music was great and our guests were impressed with how the photo booth pictures turned out. Would hire again!
Solid Light and Sound was truly such a great business to work with! They answered all my questions thoroughly and worked with my vision and made it a reality! From the moment they arrived to the moment they left, professional, dedicated, knowledge and super flexible w changes that were needed. I could not thank them enough for everything. Meet the team
Mason Wise
Creative Director/DJ
I'm Mason, Mase, DJ Mase, depends on the day! I was born in Cedar Falls, IA, and worked as a resident DJ at Voodoo Lounge before starting Solid Light and Sound in 2017. Post-covid I moved to Minnesota to master my craft, working at the Mystic Lake Showroom/Amphitheater, and now for the City of Minneapolis at The Minneapolis Convention Center.
When I was 4 years old I called the radio station Rock 108 over and over again, requesting Gun's & Roses until eventually they played the song and put me on the air.
I spend everyday of my life in the music industry, sometimes, corporate audio and lighting, sometimes setting up lasers in afterhours warehouses at 3am, or more recently setting up speakers for an outdoor dog park. Which begged the question, what type of music do dogs want to hear??? They didn't ask for many requests.
Honestly weddings are my favorite part of my career, because its always such a moving experience. I love the opportunity to elevate the these events with the skills I've learned working in concerts and nightclubs.
DJing Weddings is special to me because I love all genres of music and it gives me an opportunity to think in the moment of what great song could come next in the mix? Bon Jovi? Ja Rule? Maybe some Chris Stapleton or Diplo? Theres so much good music out there and never enough time to play it all.
