My husband said the DJ was a bit difficult during the set up. There were only two songs that were to be played and both were wrong. The rest of the songs during the reception were correct but low energy from the DJ. Also he missed a few key announcements I had scripted out.

I guess my first question is, why is this just being brought to my attention now, as opposed to back in May when the wedding first happened? Missing not just 1 but 2 of the ceremony songs seems like a pretty big deal to me, and I'm wondering why it wasn't addressed on the spot. Please review my dissatisfaction clause of my contract (section 10).
Furthermore, I did look into the ceremony issue. According to information you gave me, there were three songs for the ceremony: Wedding Version of "The Good Ones" by Gabby Barrett, "Never Enough" From Greatest Showman, and "On Top Of The World" by Imagine Dragons. My DJ program keeps a record of what was played the past 5 years or so, and according to these records, all three of these were played. Now, I don't know if it was a mix-up of a different versions, or a mistake in communication and the wrong songs go mixed up, but this is what I am finding, and I can provide you visuals if you need. I'm sorry if there was confusion.
Also, I recall talking with Dakota very little throughout the day, at least during setup. I don't recall any disagreement or friction, so when you say "The DJ was a bit difficult during set up," I don't know what you are referring to, and nothing was brought up. Was there a specific issue you wanted to address?
As far as everything else, again (and I know I sound like a broken record), nothing was brought to my attention be it low energy, missed comments, or anything else. I recall checking in with you (as I always do) to see if everything was ok and you said it was. If you want to go more into detail, please let me know, but other than that, I'm afraid there isn't really anything I can do for you at this point. I'm sorry things didn't work out as hoped, and best wishes to both of you despite!

r wedding, dry reception and people might not dance. He was up for the challenge and was very professional and prompt with his emails.
The day of the wedding he arrived on time, he dressed according to the dress code and was professional at all times.
I was nervous about the dancing, thinking nobody would dance. After the first song, people started dancing and at one point the dance floor was full. We even got my 91 year old Dad out on the dance floor! The party only lasted about an hour and a half. Matt was very understanding and very kind when I told him the couple was done. I would definitely recommend Matt from Solid Sound Music.

e we had SUCH a long wait. Matt was so flexible with us and everything went absolutely perfect. we met with a couple of companies before hiring solid sound and we are so glad we went with him, we truly felt comfortable with him and he is so honest and genuine.
The night itself was amazing. Tom and I didnt have many songs we wanted to hear, just a few special ones, so we pretty much gave him creative control over the rest and knew our guests were going to be big requesters. Seriously every single song was spot on, people danced all night and we had the BEST time. his mcing was great too, we asked for an over the top football intro and he absolutely delivered. Our wedding was perfect. thank you matt!!!

urally we wanted a blended wedding of Spanish and English music.
The Mother of Groom requested the song "Vida" by Marc Anthongy, but the song "Vivir mi Vida" by Marc Anthony played. She was visibly shocked and upset. Even tempted to stop the dance.
The correct song is just a simple scroll down on a google search. While I can understand that the DJ did not speak spanish this mistake seemed ...lazy? If he was unsure if he had the correct song, he could have simply asked!
We were assured that any song could be downloaded and that the Spanish music could be included in the regular music. It wasn't played until his family physically got behind the DJ and told him what to play!
Even our cake cutting song was missed and that was country!!
Matt (he was not our DJ) is a great guy, and his team did play good 'party music'. Overall it was a good performance, but the fact that I felt mislead and that part of my family was left out of the party is very dissappointing, and has been plauging my mind.

definitely do try and cater to all cultures and backgrounds.
I guess the first thing that comes to my mind is that I am a little confused as to why I am just now hearing about all of this. I asked you multiple times (including at the end of the night) how things were going, and you expressed no dissatisfaction. The last clause of my contract states that “If at any point the party becomes displeased with the music (or anything), agreed upon or not, this must be communicated to the DJ at the event. We will be more than happy to alter anything at anytime during the night!" And we absolutely mean it, we are more than willing to change things up. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do now, as the wedding was several weeks ago.
I think the most important takeaway from this, however, is how critically important it is for each client to approve of the wedding form. For those who haven't worked with me before, I have a questionnaire that I request every client to fill out. A week before, I put everything together on a wedding form sheet and submit it to the client for approval. Aryssa, it really does pain me to put any blame on you, but the fact is, we reached out to you several times (both by phone and email) to approve the music and got no response. One of my questions was, indeed, about the Marc Anthony song. It is very easy to confuse those two songs, especially for anyone who doesn’t speak Spanish or know Marc Anthony's music. (On top of that, "Vivir Mi Vida" is a very popular song from Marc Anthony, and I play it often at weddings by request.)
Additionally, much of the information that I was given for you was not up to date, including the times of the events - Dave almost didn't make it in time, as I was unable to reach you to confirm details and did not have the final schedule because of that. I do wish both of you the best, and I wish things could have been different.

When I saw the song list the week before the wedding and wanted to completely change up the dinner playlist, he made it happen, no questions asked. I'm so happy he gave me the opportunity to do that - I still get the best feeling when I hear one of those songs and am taken back to our wedding night.
Jesse, our DJ, was simply wonderful. He arrived promptly and coordinated with our friend and officiant, so I didn't have to worry about anything, I just showed up to the ceremony. When things got a little slow as dinner was ending, he quickly consulted with us and then moved up the schedule to keep things flowing. He played all of the songs we asked for at the reception, while still reading the crowd, and he kept people on the dance floor all night. He was very professional and friendly, and we would recommend him to anyone.

uld tell right away that he was there for us, to make sure our day would go perfectly. Matt sent us Angie Hohbach to DJ and she was just AWESOME! She was incredibly cooperative when it came to our particular requests, and she was able to be flexible and "wing-it" when we went off schedule. Angie's professionalism and personality really got things moving! Angie came early, and set-up and broke down everything quickly and on time. She is an absolutely lovely person, and great to work with.

I would hire him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him if you need some great music. He played every song myself or anyone else there requested.
