Solomon's United Church of Christ offers officiant services and a small venue space for weddings. Our rural grounds in Chambersburg, PA, are beautiful, especially in the summer and fall when our various gardens are blooming! Our sanctuary is simple and a little retro. The smaller space makes it feel intimate and special, while the upholstery on the pews gives a fun pop of color. Our social room is a blank canvas that can be decorated to fit your vision. Pastor Julia is an ordained clergywoman in the United Church of Christ. She loves a good love story, and is always excited to celebrate marriage! She can help you customize your ceremony so that it feels like you, or make recommendations based on tradition. You can be as hands-on or off as you like! As part of preparing for marriage, Pastor Julia facilitates premarital conversations (usually called counseling, but Pastor J is not a licensed therapist/counselor). Those conversations are fully confidential and non-judgmental - they are designed to help couples ensure they have talked with each other about the important things.
