Hi, I’m Sally — co-founder of Sombra Nexus Studio. With a journalism background, I’ve always been drawn to real stories and the small, honest moments that make them unforgettable. That’s why I love weddings: not as a “happy ending,” but as a meaningful chapter in your love story — one you’ll want to relive for decades. Based in Dallas, we’ve photographed and filmed many weddings across the DFW area — from intimate backyard and family ceremonies to full venue celebrations. No matter the size or setting, we show up with the same care: calm, intentional, and fully present for the moments that matter. My approach is simple: you lead, I listen. Hi, I’m William — founder of Sombra Nexus Studio and the lead videographer behind our wedding films. I studied film and art, earning my MFA in Photo, Video & Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and my BA in Film & Video Studies from Purdue University. That background shaped the way I see weddings: not as a highlight reel, but as a cinematic story built from real emotion, movement, and meaning. I’m drawn to motion and the in-between moments — the rush right before the ceremony, the way hands reach for each other, the tears that show up unexpectedly, the laughter that spills into the dance floor. I film with a cinematic eye, but I never force anything. Instead, I focus on capturing what’s already there and shaping it into something you can feel again every time you watch. For me, wedding films are art and memory at the same time. My goal is to tell your story in a complete, intentional way — with beautiful visuals, honest emotion, and a film that feels like you.
