Some Crust Bakery makes the most delicious cakes! Having had them create specialty cakes for various family events it was a no brainer to have them create our wedding cake. The tasting was great and really catered to our needs. Kate worked with me to get every detail of the final cake perfect for us. Delivery was easy and the cake was beautiful and tasted just as amazing. Guests loved it and I will definitely be using them for our future cake needs!

I grew up down the street from Some Crust and when we started planning the wedding I knew that i wanted to go with them for the wedding cake. I can't have dairy at all and it wasn't an issue at all for Some Crust. Not only wasn't it a problem but the cake was delicious. All of our guests remarked on how good it was and were shocked when we told them that there wasn't any dairy. We also ordered sugar cookies for the welcome bags and the favors. They were a huge hit and thankfully we ordered some extras because everyone kept asking us for more. Thank you so much!

Our cake was included in our wedding venue's package and this was one of the bakeries on the list. We chose this one because not only was the cake good, we could make our own flavors to try (both of my choices were used in our cake) and they could do the design we wanted. We chose to have a fantasy themed book stacked on top of a horror themed book then had 3 flavors of their giant cupcakes for the rest of the guests. The first thing I saw the day of the wedding was the cake on the desk of the event planner. It was SO awesome and beautiful- I took some photos immediately. I adored the cake and, while I didn't get to have any of the cupcakes, the cake itself was delicious and moist. We took some home with us so we could have more and my husband ended up having at least one more slice while I was off dancing as well the night of. The bakery was very accommodating and easy to work with. They replied quickly and brought our vision to life. I was recommend them to anyone looking for a special occasion cake and to just stop by to buy some cupcakes or some other baked good. We've been numerous times just to get a cup of hot tea and cupcakes. Its a wonderful place to just while away an hour or two.

We had a 3 tiered cake, each layer a different flavor with a birchwood design. Simple and rustic to fit our venue. Everyone loved it!

Very delicious cake; our wedding guests were highly complimentary. We got a 4 tier chocolate cake with euro buttercream frosting and 4 different fillings. Cake was delivered promptly and in working order. Some Crust offers a replacement top layer for the one year anniversary! Nicole was very easy to communicate with for setting up the tasting and the order.

We used Some Crust as a preferred vendor from Coyote Hills Golf Course, and I’m so glad we did! They run a delicious bakery and their cake is fantastic! If you’re worried about having a cake that is too sweet, this place is perfect. Their flavors are elegant and not over bearing or bland. We had three flavors for three tiers: lemon, banana, and strawberry pink champagne! They were perfect for a morning wedding and everyone loved it! They were even so generous as to add a small vegan cake separately for my MOH and her mom for no extra charge. Their vegan cake is delicious too. Customer service is very nice (their wedding cake section is separate from their bakery so it is quieter). Nothing went wrong with their service from tasting to serving our guests. Be prepared to eat a lot of cake during your cake tasting!!

Some Crust did an incredible job! We opted for a smaller cake and a desert buffet and they nailed it!! The desert buffet was a huge hit at our wedding and everyone loved the cake! We did a half and half cake since my husband is a Marine and the designers did an incredible job!

We had a choice of 2 vendors but Some Crust were able to create a wedding cake closer to what we imagined so we chose to use them. The cake tasted delicious and we received many compliments. They also don't require us to save the top tier for our 1yr anniversary as they provide a fresh one when the time comes. Very happy with our decision to use them.

Some Crust Bakery did a great job on our wedding cake and desserts. Our guests are still raving about the assortment of desserts and the unique wedding cake flavors. The wedding cake looked beautiful and we had a great experience working with them.

My family has been ordering sweets from Some Crust since I was a kid, so naturally they were on the list when it came time to review potential cake vendors. Many of their flavors were delicious, but we ended up ordering their Pink Champagne with raspberry buttercream frosting (and a bit of lemon cake for one layer, just to change it up). The cake was delicious, moist, and uniquely flavored. Some Crust was also awesome because they provided great advice in addition to a tasty cake. They suggested we save money by providing most of our cake via a sheet cake rather than as part of our round, decorative cake. This saved us a bit on the cost of the cake as our guests couldn't tell the difference when it came time to serve. Some Crust has been a favorite with my family for years. They will continue to be one with my new family in the years to come.

The most beautiful and great tasting cake yet! I loved my wedding cake. My guests even mentioned how nicely decorated it was and how they did not want to ruin it by eating it, but glad they did! ahahah Highly recommend, great service and quality! It was very easy to schedule the tasting appointments and even re-tested some flavors, they have very cool and creative flavors, so ask away! The decoration is also custom, 3 or 4 tiers, fresh flowers or part of the cake. Good luck!

Our cake was amazingly delicious! We had a three tier and a sheet cake for around 80 guests. The pink champagne cake and the black and white cake were the favorites. I love stopping by Some crust for a pastry or a cupcake any time I'm in Claremont, so there was no question of going to them for our wedding cake.

Nicole was an absolute saint when it came to patience. I was extremely indecisive and she accommodated by offering a second tasting to calm any nerves I had. The cake was on time and absolutely stunning. All of my guests loved the cake and the only complaint I heard was that they wanted to eat all three flavors. They even filled a last minute order for a small cake so me and my husband could eat cake the week after the wedding. And be sure to bring your cake board back to receive 6 of their huge delicious cookies.

Our cake was perfect! It looked exactly how I wanted it to and it tasted great. Working with their wedding and events staff was very easy: we were able to schedule a tasting, make our payments and schedule our cake delivery with no issues. On our wedding day our cake arrived right on time and we received a lot of compliments on our cake flavors.

I had a desert table instead of a wedding cake and at the end of the night EVERYTHING was gone. This place is so good. You must try the trail mix cookie... best cookie ever!

My wedding cake from Some Crust was included in a package from my venue so I can't really speak to the price but my cake was delicious and decorated exactly as I wanted. The planning process was easy and brief. Overall a great experience.

I have had various cakes and pastries from Some Crust Bakery, so I was extremely excited when I found out that they were the bakery that would be making our wedding cake. Their selection of frostings and fillings was nothing short of delicious. Nicole and Hillary were great to work with from our initial consultation and throughout the entire process. They were polite, professional, and very responsive to all our questions. Although Some Crust rescheduled our initial consultation due to an emergency with one of their wedding consultants, they asked if we wanted pick up the cake samples that we had selected since they were already done. We picked up the cake samples and they provided notes which explained the different frosting, bread, and filling types. We ate them on the spot and knew what we wanted for our cake. During our rescheduled consultation, they had the additional samples we had requested based on our prior tasting and explained what was included in regards to number of tiers, design, and flavors. We were extremely pleased with the cake. It was not only beautiful, but delicious. We received so many compliments from all our guests. My husband and I highly recommend Some Crust Bakery for all your cake and pastry needs. Their staff is very professional and helpful, and their cakes are mouthwatering. We’re looking forward to our anniversary cake from them.

I was given two bakery options from my wedding venue and I'm so glad that my husband and I went with Some Crust Bakery. They were friendly, professional and very accommodating. My cake looked better than the sample picture I sent them and my guests kept telling me how moist and delicious our cake was. Would definitely recommend. I actually recommended them to my sister who's getting early next year and she has an appointment to meet with them next month. :)

The cake was amazing. It looked amazing. I never thought I’d say this, but it was very photogenic. The flavors were off the chart. It was perfect!

Some Crust did an amazing job for us on our cake. We worked with a venue that uses another cake vendor, but that other location refused to do a vegan cake for us. Some Crust came to the rescue. They were prepared at our cake tasting with multiple options, all of which were delicious. While the vegan frosting limits some of the decorating options (no fault of Some Crust), they worked with us to find great options that matched what we wanted from our ideas (and Pinterest, of course). We love that they have the option for a 1-year anniversary cake, so you don't have to freeze the top layer yourselves. Hillary told us "no one wants to eat frozen year-old cake" and let us know that 2 weeks before our anniversary, we can call in to have a mini cake, in our same flavours, made - and the cost is included in the wedding cake, so no charge at this one year mark. Our cake looked beautiful and tasted so good. Many people commented that the fresh raspberries in the filling were so decadent and made this cake stand out from the typical wedding cake. It was delicious and I don't think any guests realized it was vegan. We'd highly recommend Some Crust bakery!

I loved my wedding cake from Some Crust bakery!! The woman that worked with me was very helpful. I showed her a cake design that I wanted and she said they would try to create a cake very similar to the sample I had shown her. I was so happy once I saw the cake the day of the wedding and flavors were amazing!

Some Crust Bakery was super helpful and easy to work with. Everything from the tasting to the day of delivery went amazing. Our cake looked so pretty and was exactly how I wanted it. I always expect wedding cakes to not taste super great but ours was DELICIOUS! Couldn't recommend them enough!

Some Crust bakery did our wedding cake and it was excellent! The tasting was so fun and they did such a good job in executing the vision that we had for our wedding cake. The wedding cake price was included in our package with our venue, so I'm not exactly sure how much it would've cost by itself. That part I can't comment on, but everything went really well and I'm very happy that our venue uses Some Crust Bakery for their wedding cakes!

It was so hard to decide on a flavor since all were so delicious. I was very happy with our cake the day of the wedding. It was beautiful and exactly what I had asked for. I was blown away by this vendor. To tell you the truth, the cakes at the Bridal Fair were not as good as the cakes at the cake tasting appointment. I am NOT a cake person, but I WILL eat cake from this vendor again. Our 3 flavors: black & white with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling; miss divine which was pink champagne and strawberry mousse; and raspberry cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling. The texture, flavor diversity, and professionalism of this vendor is top notch. I adored working with Nicole. Both she and Hillary were excellent at correspondence and answering any questions I had about their different options. Their cake designers also deliver excellent quality. I had a minor snafu: I ordered a cake smaller than I thought I had. This was something I had overlooked since I was originally planning on including tarts and individual desserts from their menu. However, we caught this 5 days before the event and were able to add the extra amount of cake in. They were able to add another tier as well as throw in an extra round for slicing. Everyone displayed professionalism and patience and I am extremely happy about the turnout. I am so excited that included in our package is a one year anniversary cake. I can’t wait!

AMAZING CAKE!!! Was still fresh a month later after being stored in the freezer then refrigerator. We had a naked cake of Miss Devine and Lemon. So yummy!!! I can't wait for our One Year anniversary. A Highly Recommend on the cake!

The Sheraton Fairplex where we we had our ceremony and reception referred us to two bakeries. Some crust was one of them, which we chose. My husband and his mother went to the cake testing, they brought me back some samples since I wasn't able to attend. I wasn't all that impressed however I really cared more about what the cake look like than anything and I knew Some crust could deliver the beautiful cake I want it. I was really impressed at the wedding with not only the way the cake looked but how it taste. We had four layers and each layer had a different flavor. We had chocolate, strawberry, lemon and red velvet. I had a taste of all but the red velvet and they were all muy delicioso. I was very happy and all my guess complimented the cake, the way it looked and taste. The staff was really accommodating and easy to work with. From the first point of contact we had with them a year prior to the wedding up to the wedding day we were happy with their level of service. Thank you so much some crust bakery. Chara J.

We used SomeCrust Bakery for our wedding cake (and groom’s cake). This bakery is great!! We continue to have guests comment to us about how delicious our wedding cake was. We had four layers, each one was a different combination of cake and frosting. My only regret is that we were not able to taste two of the layers (too busy dancing). We also custom designed the look of the cake. Each layer had a different design/texture. We were worried that the cake would not come out how we envisioned it, but it was absolutely stunning! My groom’s cake was the best. I am a diehard Green Bay Packers fan, and I wanted my cake to reflect this. It came out great! The cake looked like a football field, with PACKERS spelled in the endzone, and an oversized football with the Packers logo on it in the center of the cake. With how great the cake looked, I would not have cared if it tasted like garbage, but it was delicious too! SomeCrust is FANTASTIC!

Also, if you return the wooden slab the cake was brought in on, you get six cookies for free! Thank you so much for working with us and our ever-changing cake as well. I ordered 4 individual cakes different flavors and they where all very good. I ordered about two weeks in advance paid over the phone. They delivered on time with a small fee. My guest loved the cakes. There was none left over to take home. Matter of fact my sister asked me to pick up one for my brothers birthday day party. The cakes where great and the customer service was great also. We where greeted with smiles and friendliness.

Some crust is delicious!! Our wedding cake was gone in minutes! They were so friendly and helpful. I met with Nicole and we went over all of the details of the cake. The tasting was free and I loved that they had a separate office just for wedding cake consultations. The bakery itself is so cute. It has that old, small town feel. And everything they make is delicious. My favorite thing though, is that they offer you a free top tier one year anniversary cake, so you don't have to keep the original top tier in the freezer. I think it's really nice of them to offer that. They were also very professional every time I spoke to someone. They even called me a week before to make sure my order was correct. The decorator got almost every detail right, so I was mostly happy. The cake borders were a little thicker and not the right color that I asked for, but they delivered the cake on time with no problems. So I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone!

We worked with Nicole and Some Crust to create our wedding cake. My husband and I met with Nicole to discuss our cake design and have our cake tasting. All their cakes are delicious - good luck choosing your flavors! Ours was a 4 tier cake so we decided on Pink Champagne, Truffle, White Cake w Strawberry filling and Red Velvet. Our guests raved about the cake! They were also very accommodating with the design. I brought in some photos I found on Pinterest of cakes I liked. I explained what I wanted to emulate from these examples, and what colors the cake should be in. I also brought our cake topper (which I made) to our cake tasting appointment. They agreed to hold onto it for me until the day of the wedding - what a huge weight off my mind! When I saw the cake, I was blown away. It was probably my favorite detail of the entire day. Thank you so much, Some Crust! (Also, a nice touch they offer is the "anniversary cake!" It eliminates the need to "freeze the top layer." They will make you a small anniversary cake for your 1st anniversary of any of your wedding cake flavors. Love that special touch!)

Some Crust Bakery came with our wedding package and they were so great and helpful to work with. We called to book an appointment and worked with Nicole to figure out everything from taste, flavors, frosting, look/feel/design, etc. Their wedding flavors are amazing, it was hard to decide which flavors we wanted but in the end our 4-tier cake was beautiful and delicious. Days before our wedding we even dropped off our cake topper and it came out looking great on our big day. Thank you Some Crust for baking us your amazing cake

The shop itself is a bakery and cafe, so they have an office across the street to discuss weddings. We were shown a photo book containing many designs to choose from. Our first tasting included several very large helpings of commonly requested wedding cake flavors. But we wanted something more unique, so we placed a special order (at not additional charge) for several non-traditional flavors. We decided upon almond. It was delicious. I had given them swatches of our wedding colors and they matched them well. Each tier had a different texture and color. They delivered it to the venue on time. The only thing I would change is the ability to reach the wedding coordinators by phone. I teach in a classroom from 7am-4pm after which they had gone home for the day.

I got a wedding cake from SCB as part of a wedding package from Lindley Scott House (azusa, ca). They give you six cake flavors and six frosting flavors to pick from. Everything went really well, but the cake-tasting consultant was just a little strange to me.. maybe it was just me. It just didn't look like she liked being there. I don't except you to jump up and down to see me, but a little "quality customer service" would be nice. But NBD, it's still a job after all. The cake we ordered was chocolate with chocolate frosting/filling, and chocolate with raspberry filling. The chocolate cake seemed the moistest of all the other cake flavors. Day of wedding: They provided an excellent, beautiful cake! Looked exactly as the photo that I gave them. The cake was absolutely delish. I was so busy during the reception, that the only taste I got was the cake cutting with my husband. After that, everyone really dug the cake, and whatever was left over was put in little to-go boxes provided by Some Crust Bakery. Everyone took it ALL home. I'm kinda sad I missed out. Plus: On our one year anniversary, we get a small cake from SCB as a gift to celebrate. I'm already counting down the days! (As if I couldn't just go in and just get a cake.. seriously, what is wrong with me? I just love cake.) Great, quality service, timely delivery, DELISH cakes. Get a cake from here. Also, I've been a fan of SCB since I live nearby. I've always loved their Almond Croissants. This place is the best ever, not only for cakes and cupcakes, but for pastries, too.

This was the best tasting cake I've ever had! Not only was the staff super friendly and easy to book but the cake itself was superb! They have a bunch of different cakes that you can choose from in their gallery plus they can custom create something to your liking. They give you yummy samples of different cakes and let you decide on different flavors for each layer of cake. Not only did our guests give such high reviews for the cake we chose but we loved it so much! Also no more saving the top layer of cake to eat on your first anniversary. They send you a small fresh cake for you come anniversary time. This bakery was excellent!

Some Crust is the only vendor allowed at the venue we chose which made me a little apprehensive at first but as soon as I tasted their samples, I knew we were in good hands. Their cake is delicious and flavorful, no boring wedding cake here! The design was beautiful and looked exactly like what I described to them!

This was my family's second time using Some Crust for a wedding cake. While, luckily, for my wedding it turned out perfectly, it was a bumpy road getting there. Don't get me wrong, the cake is delicious, and it was beautiful, but the bakery had trouble communicating amongst its staff, so it took way too many questions, emails, phone calls and meetings, including during the week of the wedding, to finalize details we discussed at our initial cake tasting. They need to work on their management process of designing cakes. I wouldn't recommend getting a cake from them because, while delicious, it was too much work at such a busy time.

Amazing!!! Our venue actually provided the cake for our wedding so I was a little worried since I had no choice but after seeing reviews on yelp, my worries quickly melted away. We set up a consultation with them and chose our cake samples we wanted to try. I am a baker and cake decorator so I knew I was going to be picky. I was so impressed with their work and the cake flavors. They were so delicious!!! Some of the best cake I have ever tasted that's for sure. We ate through the samples and chose 3 different flavors, chocolate rum cake with caramel filling, pink champagne cake with white chocolate mousse filling and pistachio cake with a dark chocolate and black cherry filling. We chose the design and set the date and were on our way. A little while later, I wanted to order a grooms cake shaped like a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs (as a surprise for my husband)and to change the design of our cake. I corresponded via email with the lead decorator and she was totally helpful. She worked with me to make my vision come to life and even on her days off (I was notified when I emailed her that she would be out of office) she still managed to respond to me! She would say that she was away but she was checking her email and would often forward me things from the bakers to make sure we were all on the same page. The day of I was so excited to see our cake and I was so impressed. The wedding cake was simply stunning and the grooms cake was a hit! Everyone loved the cakes and there wasn't a bit left, which was kind of a bummer because we wanted more but the goal was for our guests to be happy and they were! I can't wait 'til my birthday in February because you know I'll be ordering a cake from there haha! If you want an amazing cake that includes service from an amazing staff, this is your place.

I've always loved this bakery and was thrilled to have them do our wedding cake. All the flavors were amazing and they decorated it just how I asked. Can't wait for our one year anniversary when we get a fresh new top layer!

The cake was part of our venue package. Our meeting went well and the cake tasting was good. We were very happy with the final product. We went for a very simple design. My only issue was that I wanted pearls on the cake and felt like I got a bit of the run around to find them and mail them to the bakery. I wish they would have just figured out what the best thing to use and charge me for it. Also they did not remove the string from the pearls and so when we did our cake cutting it wouldn't cut through the string and made it problematic.

Working with Some Crust Bakery for my wedding cake was very smooth. They were very professional and had a large selection of cakes to choose from. I recommend them for your bakery needs.

I was ELATED when I found out that Some Crust was contracted with my venue, The Lindley Scott House, to provide the cake. They produced the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had. It was moist and the flavors were rich without being sickly sweet. The design was exactly what we requested, a delicate flower design in blue and yellow. The consultant at the tasting was fun, helpful, and very generous with the extra cake. Working with them was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning.

The cake tasting was very delicious I had more than 5 flavors on the cake tasting Very moist and the buttercream is great not sweet which is great everyone loved it, only thing I wasn't to happy was that I couldn't get cupcakes I called 2 weeks before my wedding and they said it was too late

We chose this bakery for our cake because they had the best tasting cakes as well as a friendly and very helpful staff. The cake was a part of our catering through our venue and it was awesome. They allow you to customize. You can bring in whatever you'd like to add on to the cake and they will even let you know if in their experience something doesn't work and suggest alternatives. Plus, they give you a free anniversary cake.

Our wedding cake came out soooo nice, and it tasted great! We almost didn't want to cut in to it because of how perfect it was decorated, but when we did.... Yum!!!

I booked a cake tasting in preparation for a private celebration before my destination wedding. They give you six samples of the most popular unless you have a special request. I picked the pink champagne which was REALLY good. I ordered the buttercream frosting and the raspberry mousse to go with it. The price is worth it!
