ype A self and type A mom could plan my wedding ourselves but after our first meeting with Amanda, I quickly realized that her services were the best investment of wedding planning expenses. Not only is Amanda near perfection at the technical side of her job, but she is also just a genuinely enjoyable human being to collaborate with. She was so astute to some sensitive family dynamics and offered support and encouragement when we needed it. I looked forward to every meeting with Amanda and having her by my side on my wedding day gave me so much peace. I’m very high strung and anxious about things going to plan but never worried about any of that on my wedding day because of her. You will not regret investing in SLIC’s services. I’m so thankful Amanda and Courtney were part of our special day. We couldn’t have done it without them and I’m so grateful to have had their support. It’s was helpful to have someone so knowledgeable to ask questions to and stay on top of small details you may not think about (even if you’re super organized!) Not only that, but she made sure there was no stress on the wedding day. At least that was our experience with Amanda Behnke. Her continual and timely responses to all of our questions for over a year of planning, was worth its weight in GOLD. There are so MANY DETAILS when planning a wedding, more than you can imagine. My daughter got married at the iconic Arizona Biltmore. Amanda’s attention to detail from the day we first spoke on the phone through and until the critical “day of” was impeccable. By a long shot, she was the KEY to pulling off the most amazing and flawless rehearsal, ceremony and reception. To top it off, she was always cheerful and just a pure joy to work with. Our guests are still talking about this wedding.❤️❤️

d enjoyable for us. We originally planned our wedding for October of 2020 and due to the pandemic, had to reschedule for an entire year later. Not only was that a stressful and unexpected factor in our planning, but we also live in Boston and were planning everything remotely as well. I am someone who loves planning every last detail when it comes to events but even I felt I was in over my head with planning my wedding. There is SO much to consider! We decided to go with the top tier “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” package from Some Like It Classic which included full service planning, day-of coordination (there was a whole team running the show that day, it was incredible!) and event styling. The team at S.L.I.C. broke down all of the wedding information down for my husband and I and were with us each step of the way. They gave us amazing vendor recommendations, vendor discounts and handled everything from original contract negotiations to new date contracts to finding all of our vendors and rescheduling. They also gave us their honest opinions (which in the wedding industry is worth every penny!) and most importantly they all worked tirelessly to ensure that we still had the wedding of our dreams. When it came to being a “Covid Bride”, the most stressful part of our wedding planning was simply picking a new date. Some Like It Classic ensured that everything else was handled on our behalf and that in itself was absolutely priceless. How many COVID brides can say that?! If I ever had a question or concern, I was able to get in contact with Kayla or her team members ASAP via text, phone call or email. These ladies are the best in the business. Don’t just take it from me, take it from my dad who normally doesn’t notice such details: at our wedding reception, he said to me “I can’t believe how smoothly everything has gone today. Classic was the best decision I made during my wedding planning process! She was an absolute dream to work with. She understood my vision for each venue space and the experience I wanted to create for my groom and myself and for all our guests. I hired Kayla for the “Luck Be A Lady” package Some Like It Classic offers and Kayla went above and beyond for our wedding. Kayla sent me a questionnaire that was very comprehensive that covered my theme, colors, goals, etc… her online portal made keeping the budget and all other vendor contracts organized. Kayla helped tackle any issues or hard conversations with other vendors so I didn’t have to and so I didn’t have to get stressed out. She stayed on top of everything throughout the planning process and even went above and beyond and picked up my wedding dress for me and put it in my hotel room the day before the wedding because I had family in town. She also did sweet little errands for my groom to help surprise me on the wedding day. I can’t detail enough how PERFECT our wedding day was thanks to Kayla and her amazing team who was ensuring everything was setup correctly and ran smoothly. We also had Noelle from SLIC who stayed with me personally on the day of to help me with my dress, tell me where to be when I needed to be there, made sure I drank water and even hand me my lipstick when I needed to reapply. She was so sweet and I don’t know what I would’ve done without her! I know everyone always has stories of what went wrong on their wedding day, but we didn’t have a single thing go wrong. It was planned perfectly, and our day was a literal fairytale. At the end of the night, we walked into our honeymoon suite to find champagne, food and slices of our wedding cake. They also made sure any décor items we brought in personally were picked up and boxed waiting in our room for us. We had so many people tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to and apart from all the décor, the night had such a strong feeling of love and family and I also thank Kayla for that as the emotion of the day was my biggest priority. If you are looking for a planner, hire Some Like It Classic! You will not regret it!

I knew her and the SLIC team would be perfect. The mention of check lists, and timelines; you could just tell this wasn’t their first wedding, and they would make everything perfect! Kayla was beyond professional, detail orientated and overall just the sweetest person! She made the whole process easy, stress free, and honestly who doesn’t want that for their wedding?! I had so many visions and ideas for the day and every single one of them turned out perfectly. Kayla really got my vibe and her recommendations were always exactly what I was thinking, before I could think it. We came to town a few times during the planning process and every meeting was so organized and she really optimized our time. We never felt like we missed anything, or that our time could have been better spent doing something else. And seriously, when I saw they have thought of everything, they have thought of EVERYTHING. Even my maid of honor commented "they are so on top of everything, I feel like my MOH duties are already taken care of, and just get to enjoy with you!!" The day of, I felt like I just floated through the entire day. People came and vendors set up, and I just got to completely enjoy myself and be present in every moment without a single worry. The whole weekend was so magical, and dreamy in every way possible. Everyone from my husband, to my parents, and siblings just kept saying how easy the whole process has been and how we seem so relaxed and calm (which is exactly what we were!!), and that’s all we could have ever asked for! up and broken down in accordance with our venue’s timelines. We opted to not hire a full service planner because we went the non-stereotypical wedding route. Instead of floral, we worked with Moon Valley Nurseries to select cacti/succulents that would serve as wedding decor. Post-wedding all of these plants are being repurposed/planted in our yard. We found it wasteful to hire a florist for a minimum of $3,500 for florals that would just die after our wedding. We were very excited about our idea and Moon Valley really helped us pick out the perfect cacti. The reason I gave three stars here is because we went through so much ourselves (time and money) to make our “different” wedding vision come to life, and when the time came for our wedding, these decor pieces were missing from our set up. Our SLIC contract didn’t specify any restrictions, etc. When we had our meeting with SLIC a week out, we were hit with restrictions, and had a feeling our decor vision wasn’t going to be able to come to life the way we anticipated. Unfortunately, we had to leave our two larger cacti behind at home (3-4 feet tall) and I didn’t see that the other two larger cacti (1 foot) didn’t make it to the wedding either. If you’re looking to use SLIC to simply set out pictures, smaller signage, and place cards this package would work for you. However, if you have larger items like I described above, I would not recommend their service.

We moved here 2 years ago from Ohio and knew that we needed support as all of our friends and family are in the midwest and on the east coast. Our wedding was January 18th, 2019 with 150 guests, at the Royal Palms Resort. I interviewed 7 wedding planners and did heavy research. Kayla was my third meeting of the seven. What set Some Like It Classic apart: Regular down to earth women, and Kayla specifically is a behind-the-scenes professional who is truly one of the most selfless people that I have ever met in this industry. She has great relationships with all of the vendors across the valley, she is organized, and she helps bring your vision to life without being pushy (and when we were torn on certain decisions, we asked for her opinion and she was SO helpful in always being honest with us when we needed her support the most). Her detailed timelines kept us on schedule and she thought of EVERYTHING: from bringing my dad the microphone before his speech and reminding him to invite me up to dance at the end to remembering my jumpsuit I wanted to change into so I didn’t have to go back to the hotel room mid-wedding. We did not have to worry about one single detail from the whole weekend. It was incredible (and I am a very anxious planner myself). She is also amazing when it comes to the financial/contracts piece. She reads everything with a fine tooth comb, and is willing to fight for her clients to make sure you are getting high quality and value from each vendor. We had a strict budget and she kept us within that…and WOW did she help us choose vendors that would get us the highest value and quality for our money. She is calm, which also helps in this process with so much to think about:) Long story short, she made our wedding weekend the best ever and goes above and beyond: She came with me to my dress fitting since my mom lives in Ohio, she ran to our welcome party location to make sure everything was set up perfectly (even though she wasn’t planning our welcome party). She helped us order welcome bags when we had no clue where to look, the list is endless. If you are looking for someone who makes it truly EASY in all ways, there is truly no one better. We had fun in the process thanks to her too:) As I said, I met with seven wedding planners and there is no one better than this company and Kayla. I would recommend her and her team over and over again!

She always replied to my emails fast and was very responsive to my questions. I felt like she was planning my wedding with me and tried her best to make sure it was what I wanted. During my wedding, she came up to me periodically to see if I needed anything and if I was happy with everything. I would recommend using some call it classic. It was by far the best, and one of the most important vendor I got. I couldn't have done it without you guys!

solving issues once the wedding reception started!! We were not delivered things that were promised to us, and she stepped in and fixed things. Her unbelievable calmness at a time when both the bride and I were at our wits end, saved us. Her professionalism, expertise, demeanor, knowledge, etc... (I could go on and on!). She was so professional and delightful. This was our third daughter's wedding and thanks to Kayla we went out with a bang!!
