My husband and I worked with Shinano and Some Sort of Escapade for our summer wedding in Iowa. Shinano was calm and focused during our initial session and that carried through the ...
entire experience. Shinano ensured we got all of the pictures we wanted and even though she never forced us to pose (aside from ensuring all the right people were standing in the shot) we got fabulous pictures of every group we wanted! She also knew how to keep our family (and our videographer) going in the right direction. We got wonderful documentary photos style capturing of the entire day, including speeches, dancing, and our sparklers exit. We have already recommended Some Sort of Escapade to multiple friends. My husband and I hope you'll have an excellent experience as well.
We contracted Shinano of Some Sort of Escapade through Bellagala, and we are VERY happy we did so. It wasn't a hard decision; when we reviewed the photographers' sample books at th...
e Bellagala office in downtown St. Paul, we were both drawn immediately to Shinano's work. Her photos were more fun than the classic wedding pictures we kept seeing, and they were almost edgy in how they seemed to capture people's true spirits.
At the event itself, Shinano and her assistant worked with us to make sure we got all the shots we wanted out of the day. They had great ideas and suggestions for poses but also wanted to hear what our ideas were too. And during our social hour after all our group photos were done, they took pictures of guests enjoying the event, and all of my friends and relatives came up to me afterwards and said how how pleasant both Shinano and Tom were, and how most photographers are "stuffy" but they were so fun! And the pictures are great!!
Long story short: we'd hire them again!!
