If you want to truly enjoy your wedding dinner and wedding day... hire Katelyn and her team at Somer Events! We interviewed several wedding planners and when it came down to it, Katelyn was so down to earth and kind, and truly got our vision! She understood completely our budget and she is very reasonably priced. She is easy to communicate with and did so much behind the scenes to plan and prepare! You honestly don't know how many little details go into a wedding until you start planning! She helped make it all so manageable with her online platform and checklists and it was so helpful she coordinated everything with all the vendors! The day of my daughters and son in law's wedding dinner and then wedding day were perfectly dreamy! I couldn't believe all the work she and her team did to pull everything together even better than we had envisioned! She is worth every penny and truly saves you money in the long run and saves you so much stress. She went above and beyond and was truly a joy to work with!
Katelyn executed everything flawlessly!! As the bride, I had no stress or last minute decisions on my wedding day. She is so talented in florals too which was a game changer when it was the week of bridals and I hadn’t ordered a bouquet;) She loves her brides and goes above and beyond!! She made sure all the vendors knew when to arrive and planned things out to the minute. So so grateful for Somer Events!!

With a background in Interior Design, we know how to make every detail work together from florals and decor to layout, so your wedding feels cohesive and inviting. I truly believe life's best moments deserve to be celebrated, and there's nothing I love more than helping bring those moments to life. Whether it's a wedding, party, or special event, I'm passionate about creating celebrations that feel beautiful, organized, and uniquely you.
I'm naturally bubbly, detail-oriented, and the kind of person who genuinely gets excited about color palettes, timelines, checklists, and all the little details that make a big difference. My goal is to make planning feel fun instead of overwhelming, so you can spend less time stressing and more time soaking in every moment.
When I'm not planning events, you'll usually find me traveling, skiing, boating, baking something sweet, trying a new recipe, or spending time with my husband and our three kids. I love hosting friends and family, making people feel welcome, and creating memories around the table—it's what fills my cup and inspires the way I serve my clients.
