Doing our hair and makeup. Everyone’s makeup was absolutely stunning and so natural... no one looked over done and our makeup stayed all night! Erika did everyone’s hair exactly as they asked and again it stayed all night! Both girls touched us all up again before we left! y hair is so burnt that I’m probably gonna have to get several inches cut off. She didn’t put anything in my hair to help it from the heat. Not very happy my hair is ruined. Going on my honeymoon with fried hair.

I booked Something Blu for my wedding and they were so quick and helpful until I put my deposit down. I could not get them to respond to any of my emails regarding important detai...
ls like timing to plan out my day (2 months before the big day!). We had the trial scheduled, but I couldn't even get the location set 1 week before the trial. I gave 3 weeks to answer 3 emails, but as soon as I emailed them asking for a refund on my deposit, they were quick to call. They assured me I was still in the book and were very nice on the phone, but they blamed me for not trying to call them first after they did not answer my emails. They said they are a two person business and take turns each week answering emails so my emails must've gotten lost in the transition between weeks. Seems very unprofessional to me that I could not get important details locked down for my wedding. I did not get a refund on my deposit and struggled to find someone else last minute that I could trust. I know it must have been crazy trying to rebook weddings during covid, but I saw them respond to reviews on the knot during the time they could not respond to my emails. Ultimately, based on the unprofessional communications standards they have, I do not recommend them.

My diverse group of girls all looked gorgeous as well! Erika is brilliant with hair and I have now actually made her my full time stylist! They were both so down to earth and we truly enjoyed ourselves getting all prettied-up the morning-of. I loved that they were not just my "vendors" on my wedding day but I was actually glad to share my special time with two women who I considered friends after we were done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our hair and airbrush make-up lasted all day, looked amazing in our wedding photographs, and didn't need any touch-ups throughout my wedding day. Communication with Erika and Tamika prior to our wedding day was prompt and thorough. They took their time with my trial hair and make-up and kept everyone on schedule during our wedding day in conjunction with being attentive to everyone's needs/wants. They completely overshot my expectations and did a wonderful job. Not to mention, they are both two wonderful women with fantastic senses of humor. They kept everyone smiling and laughing! I would recommend them for any occasion where professional hair and make-up might be needed. Wonderful experience!

make-up stylist is amazing as well. I did both hair and make-up for my trial (which went really well and I would recommend all brides doing)- but I just went with hair only for budget reasons. The make-up artist did a good job listening to what I wanted though.
Everyone’s hair was great- she really listened to what everyone said and took their hair texture into account. It also went really quickly. My sister showed her a picture of what she wanted and it looked amazing. My hair held up well and I felt good about how I looked. I would highly recommend Somehing Blu for anyone doing a major event in the Lexington area. I would go back to them again for sure if I ever need to.

Worth every penny! The whole team was amazing! They came right to the venue and did all our hair and makeup so everyone got to relax and enjoy the day instead of running from place...

They were so kind and willing to answer my questions at any time and helped me to achieve my wedding day Hair + Makeup vision!
Erika and Tamika were punctual on the day of my wedding. All six of my bridesmaids, two flower girls, my mother and myself (bride) were taken care of in plenty of time for our photography session and all of our looks lasted well over 14 hours! It truly was amazing.
The cost of their services were reasonable and absolutely worth it. I highly recommend Something Blu for any bridal, formal or photography event.

she enjoys her job can be easily seen in how gorgeous she makes a bride not only look, but feel as well.
I am glad I went the airbrush route because everything stayed put throughout the entire day, no problem! I was fortunate that everything really was perfect throughout the day and that I was too excited and happy to try out the mascara to it's fullest if you know what I mean. LOL Not to mention the airbrush makeup feels so light that my face didn't feel "cakey" or anything.
I am 100% satisfied with the services Something Blu provides and highly recommend them!!
