I booked Something Blu for my wedding and they were so quick and helpful until I put my deposit down. I could not get them to respond to any of my emails regarding important details like timing to plan out my day (2 months before the big day!)...
. We had the trial scheduled, but I couldn't even get the location set 1 week before the trial. I gave 3 weeks to answer 3 emails, but as soon as I emailed them asking for a refund on my deposit, they were quick to call. They assured me I was still in the book and were very nice on the phone, but they blamed me for not trying to call them first after they did not answer my emails. They said they are a two person business and take turns each week answering emails so my emails must've gotten lost in the transition between weeks. Seems very unprofessional to me that I could not get important details locked down for my wedding. I did not get a refund on my deposit and struggled to find someone else last minute that I could trust. I know it must have been crazy trying to rebook weddings during covid, but I saw them respond to reviews on the knot during the time they could not respond to my emails. Ultimately, based on the unprofessional communications standards they have, I do not recommend them.
Tamika has mad talent. She is also the absolute sweetest!! She made me beautiful in minutes. She was so flexible and kind during all the uncertainty of 2020 and eased my wedding nerves the day of with chit chat and laughter. Love this lady ...

for my trial (which went really well and I would recommend all brides doing)- but I just went with hair only for budget reasons. The make-up artist did a good job listening to what I wanted though.
Everyone’s hair was great- she really listened to what everyone said and took their hair texture into account. It also went really quickly. My sister showed her a picture of what she wanted and it looked amazing. My hair held up well and I felt good about how I looked. I would highly recommend Somehing Blu for anyone doing a major event in the Lexington area. I would go back to them again for sure if I ever need to.

Erika and Tamika were punctual on the day of my wedding. All six of my bridesmaids, two flower girls, my mother and myself (bride) were taken care of in plenty of time for our photography session and all of our looks lasted well over 14 hours! It truly was amazing.
The cost of their services were reasonable and absolutely worth it. I highly recommend Something Blu for any bridal, formal or photography event.

my bridesmaids and my mom exactly what we wanted (they require doing at least 5 people I believe). Everyone looked gorgeous in the airbrush makeup!! It made for amazing photos. They give you extra lip color for touch ups. I would recommend 1000%!

I am glad I went the airbrush route because everything stayed put throughout the entire day, no problem! I was fortunate that everything really was perfect throughout the day and that I was too excited and happy to try out the mascara to it's fullest if you know what I mean. LOL Not to mention the airbrush makeup feels so light that my face didn't feel "cakey" or anything.
I am 100% satisfied with the services Something Blu provides and highly recommend them!!
