Something Blue Bridal Boutique

I cannot recommend this salon enough. The customer service is unparalleled (Shannon was the best!), they are quick to respond to questions, and they really do know exactly how to find the right dress for every single person that walks in the door. They also offer gown and veil preservation, and have contacts with great seamstresses to do your alterations (Thread Diva is AMAZING). Besides finding me the one single dress in the world that I could possibly have worn, they followed up constantly and even sent me a postcard congratulating me on my wedding after it was over, and requesting pictures... which I still owe them. If you haven't been to their website, be sure to check out their blog! Every week they do a feature on a Something Blue bride's wedding, and the pictures are great. If you are anywhere near the Northwest Indiana region, absolutely put these ladies on your list for your wedding dress shopping plans.

I can't say enough wonderful & amazing things about this boutique. The dress I came in to try on was at the sister location and Sandy drove it over on her day off to ensure my experience was perfect (& I ended up getting that dress). Amber was outstanding consultant. She worked very patiently with my guests (who had a lot of opinions & suggestions) & told me to let her know if I needed a break. She was supportive, compassionate & personalized her dress suggestions perfectly. 100/10 ranking I recommend every bride in NW Indiana, and the Chicagoland area to come have a wonderful experience here!

I can’t say enough good things about Something Blue and how easy it was to find “the dress”. I was able to reconnect with my childhood best friend Amber, who I highly recommend by the way because she’s awesome :) and enjoy that moment of finding my dress. I went in thinking I won’t find a dress today, I am not buying a veil, I don’t know about that dress on the hanger. All these preconceived notions. Once I put on my dress it fit like a glove, it was pure Disney princess glitter, and the veil made me feel like a bride as well as brought the tears on. The entire team at something blue answered all my questions and checked in throughout the wedding planning process without being asked. They also steered me in the right direction of Thread Diva thankfully! You won’t regret going there and I hope you find the dress that makes you feel as beautiful as I did on my wedding day!

This store is amazing and really cares about their customers. They even let me stay additional time to find my dream dress! See attached photos. Afterwards, they sent me a handwritten card. I highly recommend them for your bridal gown!

Something Blue Bridal was amazing to work with! I ordered my dress in September 2020 for my October 2021 wedding. My shopping experience was great and I ended up finding my dress during my first appointment, which I was able to receive a discount for. Everything came on time and the size dress they recommended for me fit me like a glove! My dress was gorgeous and perfect!

I bought my dress from Something Blue in February 2020. The experience of just finding the dress was everything I could have hoped for. Shannon was my consultant and she was amazing at making me feel so special and making the experience even better. I walked out with my dream dress that day. I would recommend going to “Something Blue Bridal” to everyone. The store was so cute, clean, and nice. The employees were AMAZING! They made my time there seem just as important to them as it was to me! The price ranges of the dresses were very very good. I believe nothing in the store is over $3,500. Their gown selection was magnificent! The most beautiful gowns I had ever seen, I liked everyone I tried on. I decided to go to SBB because I followed their Instagram and they do a great job of showing the dresses they have there on real people. My wedding dress shopping experience could not have been better! The girls were so nice and understanding. Also, they didn't show me any dresses outside of my budget and I really appreciate that! I was so nervous about finding a dress but when in with an open mind. My girl recommended a style dress I didn't think I was comfortable with but that was the one I fell in love with and ordered! From start to finish I was done in about an hour and a half and on my way to get tacos with my family!

Absolutely AMAZING. I am so happy I went to Something Blue to try on wedding dresses! I had such a great experience trying on dresses and working with Something Blue once I found MY DREAM WEDDING DRESS! The ladies were there to answer all my questions and made the experience enjoyable and special. They were so accommodating when making appointments to try on and pick up my wedding dress and accessories, especially with being an out-of-town bride. The communication with the ladies, whether in person, email, or phone was great! They truly treated me like a bride and I would highly recommend them!

These amazing ladies are the best of the best! They were SO sweet and SO supportive every step of the way! I am so happy I went to Something Blue Bridal to try on wedding dresses! When I went in, I had some ideas of what I thought I wanted. However, I was more than willing to try on suggestions (after all these ladies know what they’re doing). I tried on a few gowns and liked them but wasn’t in love. Then I was shown a dress that had just arrived yesterday, and the lady helping me thought it might be something I would be interested in. So I tried it on... and I fell in love with it! Amazing, amazing, amazing!! They made me feel so at ease and so special every time I came to the shop! The girls were so sweet and I recommend them to everyone now! Colleen helped me try on over 20 gowns the first time I came in, and she was lovely! The owner follows up with emails, phone calls, with updates on your dress and they were so sweet to send us a postcard after we got married. Highly recommend! I saw so many of my friends rave about this place and I knew I had to stop by. To no surprise, they were right. I found my dress on the very first day and they were all so accommodating and sweet. I ended up moving away from the area after finding my dress and had to travel back for my fittings. Keeping in contact was so easy and stress free. I also spend under my budget for the dress! To follow up on another thing I love, they keep up with their brides and show them off in little blogs about their wedding day and I think personal touches like that mean the world when it comes to a small business.

I am so happy we stumbled upon Something Blue. I went wedding dress shopping with only one idea in mind – a long sleeve wedding gown – and walked away with not only my dream dress, but a feeling of gratitude to all of the girls that work at SBB. Celine was my bridal consultant and pulled every long sleeve gown in their inventory. My mother is handicapped, and they were accommodating to place a chair in several areas of their store for her to sit while we browsed through the dresses, while I tried them on, and even at the counter while we checked out. We went on ‘small business Saturday’ in Nov 2018, and received a discount toward a veil which was s surprise and very sweet of them to offer! We were never rushed or pressured into buying anything, and all of the girls at SBB were so sweet and accommodating. If you’re looking for a one-on-one experience with a large selection of beautiful dresses and accessories, SBB is the place to go!

I can’t say enough good things about Something Blue! I have recommended them to all brides I come across. I got my dress from Something Blue and it was stunning! They were involved in the process. Answered any questions I had. They even followed up with me after I picked my dress up to be sure there was nothing else I needed and to see if I had any additional questions. They are a relaxed bridal boutique. Not like the others I went to before where they don’t listen to your wants and are just trying to push a sale. They treat you like family. They have a huge selection in ALL SIZES and price points!! They offer different sales as well. The store & people who worked there were great. The dress I tried on in the store was a few inches long on me & they said they would order the petite size which came a few inches shorter. With the shoes I was wearing it should have been the correct length on me. When I picked up my dress the tag said it was the petite length but it was still a couple inches too long so I’m not sure if there was a mix up.

Loved all the dresses I tried on there! They helped me figure out what looked best on me, and I loved all their suggestions! Would 100% recommend to others!

I was recommended this boutique by a friend last year and am happy I chose to go with Something Blue. I picked out dresses to try on and explained to the lady what I was looking for. Something Blue was my last stop for wedding dress shopping (#4 over 2 days) and I was getting discouraged but then they had the designer I liked and I pulled so many dresses to try on! They are fairly priced and you can tell they are quality dresses. Shannon was super nice and helpful and we all enjoyed our time there trying on dresses. I found the dress and I did not want to take it off! The staff was super friendly (Sandy even remembered my sister who got her dress here 3 years ago!). They kept me updated on my dress' status and checked in after I picked it up to make sure my fitting was scheduled and all was good. They also give recommendations for other vendors. Highly Recommend!!

Shannon was great! She was so patient with me wanting to try on a couple of dresses twice. She figured out what my style was and went and picked out a few that I liked that I didn't choose in the beginning. I ended up having a hard time picking between two, and she let me keep trying those two on until I made a choice. She then turned the lights off to see how it sparkled and I am still so in love with my dress. Everyone was really nice and the boutique was set up really nice! I loved Something Blue so much. As soon as you walk in you can tell the choices are endless but it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It feels cozy and welcoming and the music is fun and upbeat. You get excited as soon as you show up. My appointment was fantastic as I worked with Shannon. She was so enthusiastic and really knew her stuff. Also it can be kind of uncomfortable as these people are seeing all of your business and helping you in and out of dresses, but Shannon made me feel so comfortable and excited to keep trying on more. I walked into Something Blue without even the slightest idea of what type of wedding dress I was looking for. I was completely out of my element and already anxious because I came with a larger group than expected. To my surprise, Shannon, the bridal consultant, was my saving grace. She made the whole process so comforting. She tookher time to find out what I liked and didn’t try to push my budget or talk me into other styles of dresses. I’m not really sure where to begin! I came in on Saturday and was amazed by how beautiful this little boutique truly is, the picture online don’t do this place justice. We were treated by a beautiful staff and was also treated by Kayla who was an amazing and wonderful associate! She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. She has such a beautiful personality, and a great knowledge behind bridal gowns and styles. I love their idea with the clothespins and putting them on dresses you would like to try on. I also love that they brought in dresses that they thought you would love as well! If it wasn’t for the flawless advertising on social media (I basically live on social media) I probably would have never thought of coming here. I found the dress of my dreams. Something Blue was my first AND last shop where I tried on dresses! I went there to start my search after seeing a dress featured on their Instagram that I loved, and I tried it along with several others on (they had recently gotten a line of dresses in that perfectly fit my boho theme). The dress I went there to try on ended up being my dream dress! The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and personable during my appointment and every time I interacted with them following that. My dress ended up coming in sooner than expected and overall they gave me a great searching and buying experience. It’s such a cute shop too! I highly recommend visiting this boutique for all of your wedding attire needs! (I got the perfect pair of earrings there for my dress too for a great price!)

Something Blue is the best Wedding Shop in NWI. They are the best because they care the most. Every single one of the stylist/experts lead with a caring heart and not only make you feel special but they make you feel valued and taken care of. During the chaos of a wedding (let's be honest - it's amazing, but also stressful!) Sandy and her team made me feel confident that everything was taken care of from start to finish. They had bigger gowns for someone who is more plus size and I didn't have to miss out on trying on a dress that I thought "wouldn't fit me." Something Blue was such a fun place to shop for my wedding dress! Because it was the first place I had tried dresses on at, I wasn’t 100% certain if the dress was my dress (it was). There was never any pressure to buy, though, and they even fit me in on a day without an appointment so I could come try the dress on one last time to be sure! SBB helped me find my dream wedding dress! I went into the boutique twice before I actually decided on my dress. Everyone there was very helpful and made you feel beautiful. Celine was my consultant and she pulled many dresses to help me decide what styles I liked. She actually had me try on the dress that ended up being my dress. I didn't pull it myself because I didn't think that I liked the illusion lace backs, but I ended up falling in love. It feels really good when other consultants are coming over and telling you how amazing a dress looks on you. They also help you along the way with alterations, suggesting vendors, and following up with emails/calls. I went to a few other boutiques and they were not as welcoming and as supportive as SBB. I highly recommend SBB for finding your dream dress!

My experience at Something Blue was nothing less than magical! Earlier this month I purchased my dream dress and it was all thanks to Sandy and her especially fantastic sales associate Colleen! I came in from Chicago for the sample sale but I saw my dress on the regular sale rack (no try-ons during the sample sale,) through the window while waiting in line and fell in love. After trying on a few of the similar style, Sandy came over to see how I was doing. I told her I was basically drooling over the one on the regular sale rack and that I was probably going to come back to try it on. MAGIC MOMENT: Sandy said, "I've been watching you go back and forth to that dress all morning. Since you're trying on similar styles and traveled a bit to come here, let's make an exception and get you in that dress." I couldn't believe it! Colleen gave me a veil to match and I practically threw my credit card at her after I saw my reflection. I can't say enough about my experience at Something Blue- the kindness, the patience and the willingness to go above and beyond is unmatched. Colleen was fantastic, she knew I was in love with a regular sale dress and did her best to find an similar sample dress without ever making me feel pressured into purchasing. I can't wait to go back when my dress comes in and complete my look with their amazing accessories. If you're in the Chicago area, definitely make a trip to Something Blue, they're so worth it! I can't imagine anyone having something less than positive to say about Something Blue! They were the best! I knew I wasn't going to buy at my first appointment, because I wanted to look at a trunk show for one of the designers I liked. There was no pressure whatsoever for me to buy the first day. And when I did buy, there was no pressure to buy accessories or anything else. They even made a note in my file when my cousin's future wife came in for her dress, so we didn't choose identical dresses. I don't have enough good things to say about Something Blue. I bought my dream dress during my first visit. The sales associates never once pressured me into buying a dress, they gave honest feedback and made me and my bridesmaids feel very comfortable. After I purchased my dress, they were very on top of communication. The designer was behind on shipments, but Something Blue made sure to give me constant updates. They even checked in on me a couple weeks before the wedding after I picked up my dress, just to make sure everything was going smoothly with alterations, and wishing me luck on the wedding day. I would recommend this shop to anyone in NWI. They are thoughtful and truly care about their brides!!

I loved my experience at Something Blue! They have a great selection of dresses and many of them within my small, college budget. My bridal stylist, Celine, was extremely helpful. She pushed me outside of my comfort zone which made me find the PERFECT dress! She was kind and made me feel very comfortable.

I loved Something Blue Bridal! When I went to try on dresses for the first time, the staff was so sweet and helpful. I had no clue what I wanted but after only trying on 10 dresses, #6 was the winner! My dress fit like a glove as soon as it arrived. Only minor alterations were needed to the straps. I would 10/10 recommend SBB to any woman who is getting married

Something Blue Bridal was Amazing! My best friend and I have now both purchased our weding dresses here and it's a memory we'll always share. They are so so helpful and knowledgeable and super sweet to work with. All of the ladies there are very professional and supportive every step of the way. I loved working with them to find my forever dress and had fun at the same time. I plan to shop here again for future occasions.

I got my dress at Something Blue, and let me just say from start to finish they have been nothing shy of amazing!! They were the first and ONLY placed I stepped into to look for my dress! I went off the reviews I read online and knew they were the place I would find my dream dress-- and sure enough... I went there to try on a dress I had found online, which they had, tried on that ONE dress, fell in love, and the rest was history! Colleen was so sweet during my trial, and was all on board with my dress choice - which made me feel good knowing I picked the one! But truly, all the women in their are wonderful, super sweet, and helpful when it comes to your dress and experience! I also bought my jewelry there - which went with my dress perfectly - because of the help from SBB team! If you are looking for your dress and don't know where to start, I would highly recommend you going to Something Blue! My sister found her wedding dress at Something Blue Bridal and I did too! I loved the experience. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the dresses were all gorgeous! I was able to find a beautiful tea-length gown at a very reasonable price (they have a wide range of prices and styles; I found multiple options I fell in love with under $1k). Something Blue was absolutely amazing! When I first came to look at dresses, I had a whole entourage with me which I was a little nervous about since the store is on the smaller side. However, everyone there made us feel welcomed and helped all of us with all of our different views on what my perfect wedding dress would be. Once I found my dress, there was a mishap on the ordering and they sent the wrong size. Something Blue immediately started fixing the problem and communicated with me during every step so I was never able to become nervous. Thank you for everything Something Blue!

Planning a wedding is often stressful-and sometimes, so is finding the perfect dress. I went to Something Blue Bridal because I heard nothing but good things about them from my old co-workers. This was the first store I went to, so I didn't really know what kind of style dress that I was looking for. SBB was so awesome! They were very patient with me, let me try on multiple dresses (and retry on dresses I was unsure of), helped me find the style that I liked, shed a few tears together over The Dress, and had the most amazing wedding day! I couldn't have done it without SBB and I appreciate everyone that works there that made me feel special.
