He made us feel comfortable as we discussed our love story and vision for our wedding day. He listened to our thoughts and guided us through the entire videography process. He went above and beyond to make sure our wants and needs were met, and made the day so easy. My husband and I are not people who like our pictures taken or like being in front of the camera, and yet Alex made us feel comfortable, and feel like it was natural. Alex is incredibly professional. He is timely, and makes sure he is early to set up. He worked around schedules for us, and made sure we knew exactly what to do for each moment captured. Above all, Alex is personable. He is easy to talk to, and he is happy to discuss any requests. When he is with you, he maintains a light and friendly attitude to make sure everyone is comfortable. We received a sneak peak within a couple of weeks after our wedding, and the full video was sent out shortly after. I would recommend Alex and his team as a 10 out of 10 to anyone in the area looking for a videographer. He is AMAZING!

I had the pleasure of booking Alex back in 2019 as our wedding videographer for our 2020 wedding. 5 weeks out from our original date, we had to postpone due to COVID. Alex was very accommodating and went with the flow, and following two more postponement dates, we were finally on track for the wedding we dreamed of! Alex had always been quick to respond, easy to talk to, and made me feel so at ease with our decision to chose him. Meeting him on our wedding day, and dealing with his professionalism was honestly one of the hilights of my entire day! He was INCREDIBLE. Fast forward 3 weeks, he already had our footage ready. My hilight video is EVERYTHING I could have dreamed it would be!! He truly captured the day perfectly and I can’t stop watching it. He also shared all the raw footage from the day so we are able to relive speeches, our ceremony, our guests dancing the night away, even the beautiful aerial footage he captured of our venue and weather from our day. His work is top notch, and his attention to detail and professionalism was honestly one of the major highlights of the whole day. I can not recommend him enough!!

It's very hard to know what you're getting into with your vendors, but I can tell you that you will be so, so happy that you chose Alex & Something Blue Creative. There are a lot of decisions to make for your wedding, and I remember staring at a million different videographer's websites trying to find the style that fit ours. Then I found Alex's page - immediately we were drawn to the cinematography (amazing personal detail shots interspersed with stunning views and landscapes), the sentimentality (expertly weaving dialogue and music), and the flow - the videos were simply perfect. So his work was clearly what we wanted. But then you have to meet the person and decide if you can work well together. Well. once again you're in luck. Alex is just an all-around wonderful human. He's patient, kind, helpful, and encouraging. He's incredibly flexible too, and was willing to work with our unique wedding plan. This is an easy review to write - because there is not one thing we would change about our experience with Alex. I was a last minute bride when it came to hiring a videographer. When the church informed me they would be limiting my guest list to 30 (due to COVID), I knew I needed to capture that moment with more than just photographs. I searched the Knot and found Something Blue Creative. The videos I saw on the website were incredible and I figured there was no way they would have availability on such short notice. To my surprise, Alex got right back to me and was available. The day of the wedding was the first time I was able to meet Alex, and he made everything so easy. He really got a feeling for who Phil and I were as a couple, and captured those small moments that were very "us". The highlight video is truly magical and I could not have asked for more. My fiancé and I planned to work with Alex from SBC for our 2020 wedding. When that was moved to 2021 Alex worked with us to make the date work (even though it meant several weddings in one weekend for him)! We recently had to move our date again which unfortunately did not work for Alex. Despite this, Alex was so helpful and professional - even to the point that he helped us find other videographers to reach out to. His responsiveness, quick communication, and professional is unmatched! I would recommend him to any couple!

Something Blue Creative (aka Alex) is the best decision we made planning our wedding. Your wedding video is a HUGE deal and after we received our wedding video, it was on non-stop repeat for the next week. I still have not stopped watching it and we were married in September. It was breath taking. The quality of the video is movie like. Alex is professional, extremely KIND, fun and does not make you feel like there is a camera in your face the whole day. There are sections where I can not believe he captured it because I did not feel a camera was on me at all. Alex makes you feel comfortable. I would rehire Alex over and over again. Our experience with Something Blue Creative was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we booked to the day we got our final videos, we have nothing but good things to say. Alex was with us through covid, venue changes and everything in between. The final videos are so stunning, I can't help but watch them every time I need a pick me up. The quality of the service and final videos is above most that I've seen. The sound quality, visuals, and editing is top notch, not to mention that at wedding both videographers were super under the radar and got amazing shots while never getting "in the way". Alex is the epitome of talent, fun, and professionalism! Due to COVID restrictions, we decided to keep our wedding to only 10 people. This meant that the video footage Alex captured would be the only real memories we could share with the majority of our friends and family. We knew we could trust him and he absolutely blew us away! Our ceremony was so windy that the 120 people on Zoom didn't hear our vows or most of our ceremony. Learning this, we were understandably upset as my husband's mother and sister could only attend virtually from India; meaning, they didn't hear or experience any part of the ceremony. Alex heard about our technical difficulties and stayed up all night to edit our ceremony so we could share it with our friends and family - only a few days after the wedding! He somehow made the ceremony video even BETTER than the day! Everyone could hear our vows clearly and he even cut out the wind to hear our cellist play with perfect audio. It's truly the most important video we own. He's a rare talent and also a delight to work with. He made us feel at ease and became a part of our wedding party. We were so lucky to have him join us and would absolutely recommend him to anyone wanting to capture their day forever!

At first we were on the fence about whether we should spend the money to hire a videographer for our wedding and we are SO glad we did!! Alex was amazing to work with, starting from the day we reached out to him, to working through everything once COVID first hit, to having our wedding in September. Having a cinematographer involved in our wedding day was always a top priority of ours. We had stumbled upon Alex's work early in our search and were immediately drawn to his style. Alex is AMAZING! I'm extremely happy we ended up going with Alex as our wedding videographer! From the first time I reached out, Alex was always quick getting back to me. I could tell during our first phone conversation he knew what he was doing, and more importantly I felt so comfortable. Mind you - I spoke to a minimum of 6 or 7 videographers (and probably reached out to near 15) before deciding to move forward with Alex. I'm very shy and awkward in front of cameras and it just felt like he wasn't even there - that's a good thing! I didn't feel pressure to pose or anything, I could just be 100% myself and candid. Wow…. I just re-watched the video for at least the 99th time and it still makes my heart glow. Alex this is amazing and we are so lucky to have found you. We went back and forth about a videographer for a little bit as I am sure most people do. We chose to do it because of our daughter, we shared that with Alex and he captured it so beautifully. I don’t regret having film one bit, and I know everyone says that so why? I actually re-live my wedding each and every time I watch this 2:46 highlight and as stated above I have watched it at least 99 times... And because the 1.5 hours of raw footage was included, I actually get to relive my wedding, all the sound and candid conversations that I would have never remembered (some more embarrassing then others lol)… So yea I expected the video to be special, but it is hard to explain just how special it truly is.
