We absolutely loved working with Something Blue for our wedding and engagement photos. Conrad and Christy were the best photographers and captured our day so perfectly. They both made us feel so at ease and comfortable every step of the way. When rain was in the forecast, Conrad set up a call to go over his recommended plans for the day since he knew outside photos were important to us. He got creative and from the photos, you would have no idea that it was raining or that we were under an overhang in most photos. Our friends and family also loved working with Conrad and Christy and keep raving about all of the photos we have shared with them. We got our sneak peak photos back and each photo is more beautiful than the last! We are so grateful for everything Something Blue did for our special day and love that we will forever be part of their family!

We had an incredible experience with Something Blue Photography on our wedding day! We had the pleasure of Liz, Christy, and Ashley all helping us with photos throughout the day. Liz was my wife's main photographer during the day. We had all of our pre-sessions with her, and she helped us think through the types of photos we were going to want throughout the day so that we didn't have to come up with them on the spot. On the day, Liz was professional, timely, and made sure my wife received all the shots with her, her parents, and her bridesmaids as desired. For my groomsmen and me, Christy was our main photographer for the first half of the day. She was great with both my nephew (the ring bearer) as well as with all of our little nieces and nephews (15 in total and she was able to get us all in a shot together!). Liz, Christy, and Ashley were creative with the various spots we shot at, suggestions for poses, and patient with the craziness of our large families / bridal party and our many requests for ad hoc pictures. Following the wedding, we received our sneak peak and the full gallery promptly (within 2 months for the full set) and love the way everything turned out. We highly recommend any of the team members for your special event / day / shoot!

Our experience with Something Blue Photography was absolutely amazing for our wedding. We could not have gone with a better company and set of photographers. Liz was amazing to work with as she and their team are very responsive and easy to communicate with. Liz did our engagement session and she was very friendly and lovely to work with. Our experience with Something Blue has been excellent from engagement photos through our wedding. They were always communicative and collaborative, and the photos and video we’ve seen so far are stunning. When an illness came up, they were easily able to shift their coverage to make sure we still had two photographers and a videographer for the full time, which was a huge relief. Conrad, Ashley, and Jackson covered our wedding, while Liz did our engagement photos, and everyone was so lovely to work with. They were all so kind to us and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable throughout the day, which made everyone feel more at ease, even those of our party that were a little camera shy. Their guidance for photos was so helpful, and our family and friends have all been impressed with what they’ve seen so far. We are so grateful and highly recommend them!

Conrad and Christy, I cannot begin to thank you enough! Something Blue did a phenomenal job capturing our wedding day. I knew that their quality of work was high but even so, when they shared some of the pictures from our wedding day I was blown away. Each moment was captured perfectly. Aside from that, working with Conrad on the schedule for the day was a breeze. For anyone worried, don't be. Trust their expertise. Conrad knew exactly how to layout the timeline of our wedding day. Something Blue exceeded all expectations as our wedding photographer at Rolling Green Country Club. From the very beginning they were amazing to work with. We initially attempted to put a schedule together ourselves, but Liz and Conrad worked with us to fix our schedule to ensure that we could get all the best photos while also enjoying the entire day with our loved ones. We are so grateful to them for that. Liz, Conrad, and Christy were by our side throughout the entire day, helping us get through each step. They had such a calming presence that made us feel like everything was going to work out, and it did! They have been incredibly professional throughout this entire process and yet they were also very down to earth. In the end, we are so pleased with the photos/video from our big day and are so glad we chose Something Blue!

Wedding planning involves a ton of decision making, and it can be so overwhelming. You want everything to go well, and there can be so much pressure because you can’t redo the day. We talked to so many different florists and djs, but only one photography team, and that was Something Blue. Hands down, they are the BEST decision we made for our wedding day. Liz & Conrad were our photographers and they were truly phenomenal. They instantly put us at ease and made sure we were comfortable. Liz was so sweet and attentive; she was always offering me water in the heat and helping carry the back of my heavy dress when we moved to different locations. Conrad was amazing as well, also getting us water/drinks and offering to grab our boutonnieres and corsages from the fridge to make sure our families had them for pictures. They truly care about you and your partner; they made everything so incredibly easy and fun and we are so so lucky to have worked with them! The pictures they took are GORGEOUS and so dreamy!! We got a few sneak peeks three days after our wedding, and a bunch more less than a week later. They got amazing shots, and there is so much variety! I don’t usually like how I look in pictures, but I cannot stop admiring these. These photos make me feel so confident and beautiful. They also captured so many sweet and silly moments between my fiancé and I that I will cherish forever. SB was also extremely wonderful during the planning process. Their responses were always timely and helpful, which we appreciated so much. We worked with Liz leading up to our wedding, and she is such a kind and genuine person who wants the best for your special moments. We cannot say enough great things about her and SB, and we will definitely be using them for future photo sessions!

Highly recommend! We were referred to Something Blue by multiple family members and friends and we are so glad. There's a reason they are well known to our community - Conrad and Lindsay were so lovely to be around during our big day! We had a ton of fun with them. Conrad did our engagement shoot at a library and we could tell he had a lot of fun experimenting with the unique space. All of the photos came out beautifully!

GORGEOUS PHOTOS. I hired Something Blue for my wedding photos after my husband and I had a terrible experience with another photographer. The photos from our first photographer came out so horrible. We were posed badly, the lighting was terrible (I am a little tanner then my husband) and we felt so awkward with our photographer throughout our first engagement session. Something Blue was completely different. Our photographers were Liz and Christy. Liz did our engagement session which turned out so beautiful! It was so easy being around Liz, she posed us great and had things to help us relax and laugh. Liz went around and found these gorgeous spots for us to take pictures in and we would be walking and Liz would stop us because she loved the light in a certain spot. Our pictures turned out amazing!!!!! Liz and Christy were so great during our wedding day as well. Our photos turned out amazing. They got so many beautiful shots in different areas at our wedding venue and these beautiful sunset photos that I absolutely adore. Although, we were rushed at a couple of points and I would've loved a couple more pictures of the reception room, the pictures were gorgeous, and Liz and Christy were AMAZING. We also hired Ashley for our day of coordinator. Ashley was so sweet and did an amazing job dealing with all of our vendors and creating a day of timeline. She helped set up our reception space so perfectly and had to deal with an uninvited guest and a bit of family drama. It was so worth it to hire her. Ashley, Liz and Christy were amazing! I 100% recommend Something Blue.

Words cannot describe how wonderful the whole something blue crew was!! Liz & Lindsay: you guys were amazing and truly made my day so special with taking all of the photos I requested. Liz, Christy, Ryan, and Jackson captured our wedding day (6/17/23) better than we could have imagined. Liz and Lindsay captured the beauty of a truly unforgettable and emotionally raw wedding in a way that I don't believe anyone else could have. I started planning my wedding 8 days before the wedding date. My sister has worked with Something Blue for years, and when we decided we would get married, Liz and Lindsay jumped on board immediately. The situation was unusual. My dad was dying, and decided to have a VERY fast wedding so my dad could be there. Sadly, he wasn't able to be there, as he died just days before the wedding. We had the wedding to celebrate our partnership and to celebrate my father's life. Not only did Liz and Lindsay play an integral role in capturing the event, they made suggestions to create even more memorable moments. When a blizzard started, and there were 6" of snow falling, they picked us up in their van, and brought us to an unforgettable location for our First Look shots. They were fun. They HAD fun. They were real. They met our emotions with emotions. I'm still in awe of how they captured one of the most memorable days of my life. Liz & Conrad we’re our photographers for our wedding on New Years Eve, 12/31/2022 and words can’t even express how wonderful they were! Liz did our engagement shoot back in November 2021 and the photos from that are absolutely stunning. Her and Conrad were with us ALLLLLL day for our wedding, starting early around 10:30am and staying with us until after midnight! They both made me and my husband feel so comfortable and made things so easy for us, not to mention our bridal party loved them as well!! They shared a TON of sneak peak photos a week after the wedding (so fast!!!!) but there are no words to describe the emotions we felt when we looked through the sneak peak photos, it was like reliving our wedding day all over again. They captured so many great shots, and every time I look at these photos those emotions come rushing back. We are so grateful for Liz and Conrad and will 10000% be using them for any future photography needs and would not recommend anyone else but them to any future brides I know!!

We had a fantastic experience with them! They captured all of the details beautifully, and they were very fun to work with! The planning process was fun and easygoing, and they had beautiful and creative ideas for the shots. We had to work with very bad weather but we were still able to get beautiful pictures.

Our wedding was in September 2022 and our entire bridal party loved working with Liz and Conrad! Leading up to our wedding, Something Blue always responded to our questions quickly and Liz did an amazing job with our engagement photos. On the day of our wedding, Liz and Conrad went above and beyond. They were so easy to talk to, offered to get us water, and even spoke to the florist for us when there was a minor issue! They also had our sneak peek photos ready for us within two weeks and they're stunning! We're so glad they were part of our big day and have been referring them to all our family and friends!

Something Blue was an absolute pleasure to work with! From the first time we met Liz, she made us feel comfortable and understood our style. She did a wonderful job of leaning into what we were looking for on our engagement photos and on our wedding day and providing us beautiful photos to help us keep lasting memories. His creative eye allowed us to capture some amazing photos including a few he did with a drone that captured our venue beautifully!! I can't recommend Something Blue enough!! My now husband and I were married July 9th, 2022. We were fortunate enough to work with both Liz and Conrad on our wedding day. When I first was looking for photographers, Something Blue (SB) came recommended by our venue's wedding coordinator. I reached out and was able to have a meeting with Liz scheduled very quickly. The SB team is so attentive, something that is not always the norm with wedding vendors. This was very appreciated. I really enjoyed speaking with Liz on this initial call and after reviewing some of the sample galleries sent over, we agreed we wanted to work with SB. Fast forward to our engagement shoot in November '21, which were taken in downtown Chicago...those photos were absolutely beautiful and really captured my husband and I. Working with Liz was so comfortable and even if taking pictures can feel awkward, that feeling quickly fades while working with Liz and you feel like yourself (or even the model-version of yourself). Closer to the wedding we learned that we would get to work with not just Liz but also Conrad...sorry other SB couples but this is not the norm...we somehow just got that lucky. Meeting with them a few weeks before the wedding put my nerves at ease and I was excited to see them on the big day. Now, with the wedding a few weeks behind us I can say I am so happy we booked Something Blue. From the moment Liz and Conrad showed up as I was finishing up getting ready to head to the church until the left at the end of their scheduled time we had an amazing time with them and are so happy with how they captured us on our special day. Liz is so knowledgable about all things wedding (as she should be...she does this every weekend), which made our lives easier. It felt like we were spending the day with friends as opposed to a paid vendors. The SB team really captures your day and your personalities. Having posed shots were very important to me especially with family and friends, along with the organic, fun, silly, beautiful moments, and we got all of that (and I am sure even more as we await the full gallery). Any and every request I had was met and the attention to detail Conrad and Liz have is no joke. I also love how SB edits their photos to truly look like you, nothing is overly filtered, washed out, darkened, moody...I know some of these things can be very trendy but I appreciate that I look and feel like myself in the photos, along with my family and friends. Something Blue is a company that keeps growing. If you have the chance to work them for your wedding (or any other photography needs) please do! You will not be disappointed. Something Blue was everything we could have imagined for the perfect wedding photographer and videographer services. I have been raving about them to family and friends since the first conversation with Liz about shooting our wedding. We felt like Liz, Lindsay, and Conrad fit right in at our wedding. The three of them made no big deal about the rain, had creative ideas for different shots, made our bridal party and parents comfortable and at ease that everything would be captured, and never made any of the photos or videos feel annoying or repetitive. I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said in other reviews. We had Something Blue photography and videography for our wedding in April 2022. We had Liz, Conrad, Christy, and Lindsay work with us along the way. Something Blue is honestly a wedding gift in itself. They capture pictures and videos out of passion not out of necessity. The team is so welcoming and relaxed, which made our wedding day feel more like friends hanging out and taking pictures than the stress of feeling like the pictures have to be perfect…then they are so talented that the pictures turn out perfect! The team feels like family and have become a part of our family! You could never go wrong by hiring this team, and expect that once you work with them, you’ll have them in your corner for all future events. We could not be more grateful for this company and can’t wait to use them again. Don’t look any further! You found the people who will take your loving emotions for the day and capture it in time forever!! (And if you want maternity/family photos or to execute some funny pictures idea you have, they are the BEST people to go to!)

From start to finish, every person we were in contact with was so wonderful to work with. From meeting Liz via Zoom, to meeting her and Conrad in person before the wedding, to seeing everybody on the big day, they were nothing short of spectacular. 1000% recommend the somethingblue team! PHENOMENAL from the very beginning, we knew that we had to go with the somethingblue team for our wedding! We instantly hit it off with our virtual visit with Liz! It was almost as if she was already a long time friend of ours! From that moment we didn’t even look at any other photographers after and had to go with Liz! We loved her so much that we also decided to do the videography through them and even though we didn’t meet Conrad at the initial visit, we hit it off with him the day of our wedding! We absolutely loved working with Something Blue for our special day. Liz and Conrad were so supportive and accommodating with our wedding date changes due to Covid-19. Conrad did an amazing job capturing our wedding ceremony in July of 2020. Liz, Conrad, and Ashley shot our wedding last weekend and they are amazing! We felt comfortable with Liz from the moment we met her last spring during our engagement photos. On the day of our engagement shoot it was cloudy, foggy and a bit rainy. Liz was so kind and offered to work with us to find another day to get some Chicago skyline photos. On our wedding day, not only did she shoot all the photos we asked for, she was also so attentive to how I was doing all day. She was always checking on me, making sure I had enough water, helping me with my long train, etc. So far we received 3 photos from Liz and we literally can’t stop looking at them. However, no weather was getting in the way of them getting the perfect shots for our special day! They were so patient with our large group and made great suggestions throughout the day! The pictures from our ceremony last year were amazing and I cannot wait to see the newest ones from our reception! They are a top notch crew and I am so glad we trusted them with such an important day.

We HIGHLY recommend Something Blue! Liz and Conrad were super communicative and organized during pre-wedding planning. And then during the actual wedding, they already knew the best spots in our venue for photos and helped corral our chaotic bridal party to the right poses/spots. We were pretty clueless about what shots we wanted, but Liz was able to recommend great options. The photos came out better than we ever could have hoped! Also, we also got bids from multiple photographers in Chicago and Something Blue had by far the most affordable packages. 10/10 could not recommend more!

Liz first captured photos for us in the summer of 2020 during our engagement session in Chicago on an EXTREMELY hot day. Liz was a trooper walking all around to capture such loving, fun moments between my husband and I (and our floof)! Just over a year later, Liz and Ashley stepped up, yet again, on another extremely hot day in August of 2021. With last minute changes due to covid-19 and last minute requests by us, they were so flexible and willing to capture any and all pictures we requested on top of the photos we never expected to receive. They both captured so much love, happiness, and beauty throughout our day! From getting ready with our bridal party, to photos with our furry son, family photos, dancing photos, BEAUTIFUL sunset photos, and MANY many more-we truly are so blessed with the photos we received in our gallery. We look at them, what seems like every other day, and each picture brings us right back to that day, that moment, those emotions. We cannot wait to see our final wedding album created by Conrad! They all work so hard for every client and we look forward to working with them in the future for years to come!

My husband and I could not have asked for a better group to do photo and video for our wedding! Liz, Conrad and Ashley were so nice and easy to work with. All my bridesmaids were so impressed with how laid back and comfortable they made us feel. They gave us so many sneak peaks (~150) and so quickly after our wedding it was so nice to relive the day through the photos a couple of days later (10 days to be exact)! We also received our teaser video a couple weeks after that was so beautiful and encompassed every moment of the day. I am very awkward behind a camera and being the center of attention but you could never tell from the photos because it was like I was just hanging out with friends. They made sure to capture all the little details that we put so much effort into for the big day and it’s so nice to be able to look back at all those memories. We highly recommend working with them for your wedding and can’t wait to use them for family pictures in the future!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Something Blue Photography! From the very first conversation, my now husband and I knew we were making the right choice in photographer. Your photographer is someone who is going to be spending a lot of time with you and your family on your wedding day, so it is important that it’s the right fit. We felt we connected with Conrad and looked forward to continuing our conversations and working with him! We wanted wedding photos that truly captured the emotions and feelings of the day. We also wanted them to look real, like us, and not super edited or editorial. They did exactly that! We are two people who are never fully comfortable in front of the camera, and Conrad and Ashley made it so easy it looks like we don’t even know they are there! Ashley also helped me so much throughout the day making sure my hair was just right, the train on my dress was fluffed, making sure I wasn’t stepping on my dress and so much more. We received 150 “sneak peek” photos which is more than I’ve ever seen with friends and family that have gotten married in the past! We were so grateful to receive them so quickly (less than two weeks) and share them with our loved ones. It was so cool to see those moments captured while they were still so fresh in our minds. From start to finish, Conrad and Ashley with Something Blue Photography were an absolute dream to work with and have on our vendor team. We will recommend them to anyone we know getting married in the near future. They also do so much more than weddings like family shoots, maternity and newborn shoots, so we hope to work with them in the future as well!

My husband and I had such a great experience working with Something Blue! Due to COVID, we decided to have a small backyard wedding this year and are planning to have a "traditional" celebration next year. When we had our initial meeting with Liz, we were still working through our plans for the backyard wedding (and we were even still finalizing some last things day of) and Liz was extremely flexible working with us! Christy joined Liz with taking photos and both of them perfectly captured our favorite day! Besides the amazing photos we got, they were such a joy to be around throughout the whole afternoon/evening. They were extremely helpful (even making sure we remembered to stay hydrated and cool in the August heat) and found such beautiful spots for photos. We are looking forward to working with them again next year!

Absolutely the BEST wedding photographers we could have ever asked for. Something Blue makes you feel like part of their family from day one. From the initial booking, to engagement photoshoot, to ceremony and reception, Liz, Conrad and the whole Something Blue team are there for you. Their experience can make even the most camera shy bride and groom feel comfortable. In a weird year of Covid delays, Something Blue was amazing to work with and rescheduled no questions asked when Covid derailed our initial plans. When we reached out to reschedule and let Something Blue know that we were going to do a small private family wedding followed by our eventual reception a year later, Liz jumped at the opportunity to capture our special day. Then when she and Ashley returned to shoot our one year vow renewal and reception, they went above and beyond what is expected of wedding photographers. On a hot October day, they were running around getting water, cold towels, and anything else we needed to make sure we were able to enjoy every bit of our day without worry. We could go on and on about how wonderful Something Blue is, but in the end the simplest way to summarize our feelings is that we will be part of the Something Blue Family for years to come.

Cannot recommend these guys enough! Our original wedding was schedule for May 2020 when Covid struck. we had to postpone 3 times and Something Blue could not have accommodated us any better. Hearing horror stories of couples losing out on thousands of dollars from wedding vendors who would not refund their money, wouldn't accommodate a change of date, or would vanish all together made us so thankful for having Something Blue by our side and allowing us to have peace of mind while going through all the changes. As far as the wedding day(s), we had 2. First we had a small back yard wedding with immediate family only during covid. Liz and Conrad were amazing. We did what we could with decorations but in the end, it was just a back yard, but Liz and Conrad made it look like a twenty thousand dollar venue with their pictures. The 2nd wedding was at our originally planned for venue and we once again had both Liz and Conrad. They captured the day perfectly. They were constantly coming up with great photo ideas that all turned out amazing. Probably my favorite part about hiring the Something Blue crew was we didn't have to ask them to do anything. They were always there for the best shots, came up with their own ideas, and best of all they blended in. A lot of photographers I see at weddings will stand right in the middle of everything to get a good shot disrupting the view of the guests and the flow of the wedding. Liz and Conrad were perfect in getting the best shots while also remaining incognito. Lastly, they are just great people. We've met at their studio a hand full of times now and every time we find ourselves getting lost in conversation with them. They will always listen to what you have to say and take all of your wants and needs into consideration when planning your day. Again, cannot recommend these guys enough.

Something Blue was wonderful to work with and Christy (our photographer) was amazing! Everyone at our wedding commented on her energy and style telling us how awesome she was! And the photos… WOW! We got married downtown. Not only did we get all of the shots we asked for (she memorized our list btw!) but she made some inspired choices for alternate venues as we walked around that were just gorgeous. She captured our spirit and the spirit of our party. Highly recommend this group!

Photographs and a video memory from our wedding were two of our top priorities as we planned our special day. I first met the Something Blue team as a guest at a wedding in 2016. It was a very HOT day, but they remained cool, calm, and collected as they captured a beautiful day. When we planned a 2020 wedding they were already booked, but thanks to Covid they were free a year later for our postponed wedding reception. Liz & Conrad make such an awesome team. They were super friendly and helpful to people of all ages and also have such an amazing eye for detail. We are so excited by the sneak peek images that we received on our honeymoon and can't wait to see the rest of the photos!
