ough text, email, and phone call for any questions, concerns or last minute changes. I never had any trouble getting in touch with her, and I trusted her. We were confident that she would help our day go as smoothly as possible, and she did! She was there as my sounding board when I was nervous, and took care of any requests our family had last minute and made sure everything looked perfect. She was truly just a calm energy in the chaos of the day, and that's what I really needed. We were so lucky to have her, and I would recommend her to any bride. :)
Yvonne exceeded expectations. From the get go we discussed my vision and she took that ran! I am already a detailed oriented person so adding someone else in the mix was worrisome....
Yvonne knew exactly what needed to be done and did things that I didn’t even think of. From the candle placements, working with vendors to gathering a cluster of people, she did it. I’m so so glad that we made the choice of hiring a day of coordinator. It saved us so much time and gave us a piece of mind. Thank you Yvonne! You we’re a huge part of our day and we are so thankful!

My husband and I hired Yvonne to coordinate our wedding in Pittsburgh. We met in Pittsburgh while in college, but have since moved to North Carolina. She was on top of everything...
from the moment we had our initial phone call with her. She asked all the right questions, offered ideas and suggestions that met perfectly with the direction we were going, and kept in contact with us throughout the wedding planning process. We were initially very stressed at the idea of planning a wedding in a city we weren't currently living, but she helped out our nerves to rest and made it such a pleasant experience. She was always so diligent in making sure we tackled our weekly tasks, but also offered us a refreshing and calm that we really needed after our long days at work. We had such a pleasant planning experience and the wedding went just as beautifully! Yvonne was our first vendor to arrive and was the last to leave. She greated everyone with such a pleasant tone, but was also very honest and upfront about the amount of work that needed to be handled. She insisted she become the main point of contact for our wedding the week leading up to it, which really helped us relax and enjoy those days leading up to our wedding. She took our vision and made it all just so beautiful! We really don't know what we would have done without her! She is worth every penny, and then some!

nsisted I schedule a call with Yvonne to get a feel for what she could offer me. I was immediately impressed with her professionalism and experience and quickly realized that I needed to have her at my wedding! She helped me realize some things that I hadn't yet considered and helped me stay on task. She maintained open communication with me and helped me create a timeline. She was absolutely amazing and I am so grateful we hired her! I was a bit anxious the weeks leading up to the wedding and she quickly reminded me of all the tasks that were being taken care of and was always there to answer my texts and emails. My mom was even impressed with her, and my mom is a tough one to impress! I highly recommend Yvonne and offer her a glowing 5 stars!!!

ngs done with my sister's wedding, and I knew I wanted her for my own! I actually emailed her from my seat at the head table to try and lock down my wedding date, I was that desperate to have her! She was just as amazing at my wedding, maybe even better! She maintained open communication with me leading up to our wedding and asked me very specific questions about what I wanted for my wedding day - things I had not even thought about. She has tons of experience and really knows what she is doing! I just loved having her around the morning of the wedding; she provided me the "cool and collected" I really needed. I knew everything would run as planned and that I could count on her! I just can't say enough!

e everything would be ok, and it was! Everything ran smoothly and she did everything she promised us she would! She is the perfect mix of calm and professional and that's exactly what we needed. We had a few issues with one of our other vendors leading up to the wedding and she got them on the phone and made sure they held up their end of the bargain. I was so nervous and anxious about it, but Yvonne took the lead and made sure everything ran on schedule and just as we had wanted. I literally could go on and on about her! She's just so lovely and professional and fun to be around! If you're planning a wedding, you really need to hire Yvonne. She's absolutely THE BEST!!!

tra help. Yvonne was completely on top of everything when the inevitable happened and orchestrated the whole team to get it done. She has the perfect mix of stern, respectful, and casual approaches that kept a wedding party of 20 in order without bringing down the mood. I've been friends with these people for most of my life and that's no easy feat! We highly recommend Yvonne. We couldn't be any happier with the decision to hire her. Mom of the bride even gave race reviews!

She also made sure that our rental chairs were where we wanted them and also that they got picked up. nner and Yvonne came as a recommendation from a colleague who used her services for her wedding. I am currently working on my PhD and I just didn't have the time to dedicate to planning my wedding. Yvonne is very gentle but buckles down and gets things done. That's what I loved most about her. She was cool and calm, but still demanded excellence from my other vendors. She is unbelievably organized and made sure everyone stayed on task. I wish there was a way to give her a score higher than 5 stars... she deserves it!

our wedding would be taking place in Michigan. My fiance and I just felt immediately as ease when we first met her. You can tell she has lots of experience. She asked the right questions of us and had the most relaxed nature about her. I would consider myself a bit OCD, and she even made me feel at ease. She was amazing to work with during the planning process, and was even willing to drive to Michigan to coordinate our rehearsal and wedding. She went well above her call of duty and even performed tasks she wasn't hired to do. She saw areas that needed help and she plugged herself in and made things happen. We are so grateful for her!

many wedding planners near our wedding venue and Yvonne Tanner at Something Blue Weddings and Events was prompt with getting back to me and remained easy to touch base with throughout the entire planning process. She had us complete a survey which was incredibly helpful, not only for her to get to know us as a couple, but it also helped us realize that there were many aspects of our wedding we had not yet thought of. She was even willing to call my mom to make sure she was comfortable with the choices Scott and I were making. I have heard horror stories from friends/friends-of-friends about their wedding planning process, and I am so grateful that I have none to report! Yvonne remained calm throughout the process, even when I was getting nervous and emailing her a hundred times. She reminded me to be calm and to let her handle things. She was an absolute gem! My vendors all loved her, too. She made sure to share her timeline with all of them and touched base with them the week of the wedding and then throughout our wedding day. Yvonne, thank you again for everything!

enue we were at had a coordinator, but without Yvonne there I do not think it would have run so smoothly. She was there for rehearsal and gave us a familiar face to go to with any issues we may have had. With her attention to detail she kept us cool and as calm as we could be. I highly recommend her for any event you may need help with.

needed the assistance of an experienced wedding planner when we started planning our wedding from abroad. We made a trip back home and we both very impressed when we met Yvonne. She is professional, very knowledgable and overall very pleasant! Once we met her, our search for a wedding planner was done! We knew from the very start that we wanted to work with her! Throughout the planning process, she made it well known that she was readily available via email, phone or text. We knew we could always reach out to her and she would reply within 24 hours. She handled all communication between us and our other vendors, created our floor plans, timeline and made sure we stayed on top of meeting our contracted obligations with our vendors. She even shared her timeline with our vendors and made sure they had her number so we were not dealing with questions. She was an absolute delight to work with at the rehearsal!!! She made sure our entire wedding party (including parents) knew where to go, when things would be starting and even made sure they had her number should anyone have any questions between then and the wedding day! My parents LOVED that! The wedding day went PERFECTLY! She was the first vendor to arrive and the last vendor to leave! She touched base with all our vendors and made sure they were good to go and reminded them to contact her directly if they had any questions. When we arrived, everything looked just as we expected! She really took our vision and ran with it! She handled everything like a true professional (as we knew she would) and was a true honor to work with!!!

rawings to communicate my vision to Yvonne Tanner of Something Blue. As such, we utilized Tanner strictly for the rehearsal the day before, and the day-of coordination. In truth, I really only needed someone to oversee my vision and to move things here and there; which indicates to me that Something Blue was not worth the price ($1195). However, I partly consider this a fault of my own judgement.
In terms of the actual wedding day, everything ran smoothly and was placed exactly where I wanted. Shortly before our wedding day, I didn't hear from Tanner and became nervous. I assumed she would be reaching out to check in and go over some details. Had I not been such a hands-on bride I wonder how this service would have operated. But as I said, everything ran well on the day. Tanner was pleasant, prompt, and effective. I recommend this service to the bride that requires assistance in making decisions about their wedding. For someone as detail oriented as me, I would at offering a few hundred dollars to an equally detail oriented person to oversee the running of the. Day, makes more sense.

o hire her for my wedding! I am such a control freak and a bit OCD, so it was really hard for me to hand over everything for the most important day of my life! Once I learned to let go, I was able to relax and enjoy the whole process of planning my dream wedding. Yvonne made me feel so comfortable and she really was the best vendor we hired! My parents paid for her services, and they both were so impressed with her professionalism and sense of humor!

my dream wedding. I looked online for wedding planners and found Yvonne. She was able to speak with me that day and I knew from our first conversation that I wanted to hire her as my wedding planner. She provided the "calm" I needed, the calm that I don't have in my daily experiences. She handled everything and reminded me to let her handle things and I am SO glad I did! Everything was perfect! My sister has since hired her and I look forward to seeing her again, and seeing what she does for my sister. :)

She was more than willing to help us with making sure all our DIY projects were set up just the way we liked. She and her assistant arrived early to begin setting up. She was able to make things look just the way we wished and then took on the task of coordinating all of our vendors. They all thought she was outstanding! She helped everyone stay on schedule and reminded them when certain aspects of the wedding were approaching. My friends and family just loved her!! Yvonne managed the vendors, kept us on schedule, and ensured everything looked perfect and was taken care of so I didn't have one issue all night long. She was doing things in the background that I was completely unaware of, and she did it with ease. She was the best wedding decision I made (next to my husband). Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

We were married in DC and hired Something Blue to plan our wedding. My husband and I have very demanding schedules and we knew we didn’t have the time to plan our dream wedding. ...
Since our location came with a coordinator, we went with the full service wedding package, but excluded the day-of services. It was nice finding a wedding planner that allowed us to customize a package specific to our needs. Our coordinator helped us select vendors and even came with us to our meetings. She took care of all vendor contracts and contacted them the day before to ensure they had all the specifics and were prepared. She also created a timeline that we gave to all our vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page. We are so happy we went with Something Blue! We know our day couldn’t have ran as well as it did without our helpful coordinator!
