Samantha, from Something Fabulous, made our 25 Wedding Renewal more than we dreamed. I've put on many events myself through the years, so I had my ideas for the reception, with pr...
etty tables, fabulous catered food, music, etc. along with many couples and family coming from all over the U.S. So we wanted a pretty memory. While at the church, Samantha came HOURS early at the reception venue and made it so spectacular and pretty, that both my husband and I were overjoyed with pride. Just beautiful. We had separate rooms for Social hour and then a room that opened with French doors to a soft, beautiful candlelit room with beautiful fabric and more decor than I planned. Samantha brought her own decor to add; and touches that added extra elegance. Every space was touched. Then, a miscommunication with two dessert places, which I ordered and was going to take care of, she refused me to touch. She took control, calling and took care of, which allowed me to continue my time with guests. This was my fault, but she would not hear of it and spent her time making it perfect and settled. She was always available when I called, whether busy or not, always making sure to get back with me as soon as she could. We loved her sincerity and her pleasant personality. I would call her to put on my daughters wedding, if and should she get engaged. (I hope so).
Something Fabulous allowed my daughter and I to have the “Best Day Ever” (Mother of the Bride). They took care of everything that I requested and much more! I didn’t have to worr...
y about a thing, they executed all our plans with great talent and concern. We both loved working with Samantha, she is so sweet and greatly talented. After having our wedding at an unique venue, the owner requested that Something Fabulous represent the venue exclusively because they were so professional, efficient and were easily to work with. They are “Something Fabulous” and we were lucky to have them be part of our special day!
I cannot say enough good things about Something Fabulous!! Jennifer Charles is amazing. I don't know what I would have done without her!! She and her associate talked with me about...
my wedding vision and my fiancé and I's relationship. They used all the jumbled pieces I had in my head as well as beautiful things I never could have imagined myself and made it come to life! They also made themselves readily available for any questions I had - not only for the design portion, but also for etiquette questions. Jennifer and her team bent over backwards to make sure that my wedding was perfect. I highly recommend Something Fabulous and Jennifer Charles! They're worth every penny!!
When Jason and I got engaged the first called I made was to the team at Something Fabulous! I knew that I wanted Jennifer to help design and make our unique vision a reality. Our...
wedding was based around our love of music and we wanted every detail to have a personal touch from music that mean so much to us as well as concerts we had attended. Jennifer and Katie worked hand in hand to make everything so special and made amazing suggestions for design, decor and vendors to help shape our wedding. Our event was completely personalized for Jason and I. From our first meeting to go over our vision to each phone call every detail was considered and also put into action. Jason I will never forget our time spent with the Something Fabulous team and how they made our special day a dream come true!
The ladies of Something Fabulous are truly that, something fabulous. I had a rather non-traditional wedding but they understood immediately that non-traditional doesn't mean not sp...
ecial. They completely picked up on my vision and story and helped make it come together seamlessly. On a day when so many can get so caught up in the stress of making sure everything is perfect, I got to simply enjoy every moment knowing that I was in expert hands. Forever grateful, Sam
My husband and I were completely dissatisfied with Something Fabulous's wedding planning and day of execution of our wedding. We requested a meeting after the wedding and Something...
Fabulous refused.
They stated, “We do not believe we have any issues outstanding.” If we would have met to discuss these issues, we would not be writing this review. Here is the list of problems we had with Something Fabulous:
1) They forgot $5,000 off of their creative proposal. If we didn’t request the actual individual quotes to review and compare (which Jenifer Charles was reluctant to even give us), when exactly were we going to find out that we needed to pay $10,000 and not $5,000 for drapery? We were making most of our decisions based on this proposal. Later, we realized the vendor quoted the wrong hotel. Once they quoted the correct hotel, the price changed dramatically. When were they going to realize it was the wrong hotel…the day of the wedding?
2) Our wedding started 20 minutes late because of the wedding planners. Jennifer Charles and Kimberly Allen showed up 20 minutes before the wedding was supposed to start. The groom, groomsmen, and family members that arrived early had to open up the church, open rooms, find programs and attendants. Something Fabulous did not make sure there were matches for the lighting of the Unity Candle. They also forgot the ring bearer’s pillow. They were not even present to do their job. When my husband went to escort his Grandparents to their seat, people were sitting in their seats, which really looked bad as the Seating of the Grandparents started the processional.
3) There was a complete lack of attention to detail of the wedding itinerary. I had to continue to remind them of the order of events. The cake and dessert came out before we even cut the cake, which distracted from speeches and ruined the flow entirely. They put large reserved signs on our reception table, which is a complete eyesore. The perimeter lighting was a light pink and not magenta, as discussed.
4) Kimberly Allen was unprepared for meetings and was also very unprofessional. She yelled at my husband right before the wedding. She also had what was described as a panic attack. Our organist had to tell her to stop talking so the organist could do her job.
We tried to get out of our contract when we started noticing the lack of detail but they did not allow us to break the contact.
Choose carefully!
