here to tell you that you do need a wedding planner. Very much so. Weddings are just different from any other events you may have planned and considering the importance of the day to your life, you really need to have an “expert” involved. Shannon did a great job of juggling the needs and opinions of all of those involved in planning (most of us control freaks) and never complained when we were suddenly dragging her in another direction. Any amount of money that you spend on a wedding planner is worth every penny during the days and hours leading up to your wedding when everything is happening fast and furious and all at once. Shannon completely excelled and kept it all running smoothly and if anything went wrong the day of my wedding, I never would have known! Shannon and her vendors created a truly beautiful day for us!

ly spoke to her on the phone, we hired Shannon to be both our wedding designer and planner. Site unseen, we chose a venue (The Rosewood @ Miramar Beach)while it was still under development. Believing this property would be just as amazing as other properties, Shannon still made sure to visit the property well in advance to make sure the property meet the expectations of the vision she had for both the ceremony and reception. She worked with vendors from her black book to customize a gorgeous chuppa, custom centerpieces and more. She recommended the cinematographer and photographer and they too exceeded my expectations! She worked with a florist I chose. She relayed the vision I had to the florist better than I could have! Our flowers were out of this world! Shannon paid attention to every detail! Was willing to do and help any way she could!! So much that the wedding day went without a hiccup! She received several compliments! Our guest said “Shannon is great and this wedding is stunning!” Hotel staff said “you are the nicest wedding planner!” Upper level executives from the property stopped me in my wedding dress and said “this is the nicest wedding we have seen on the property!”There is nothing she did I would change! She fantastic at what she does and is great to work with! Trust her with your wedding, I did with mine!

was always on top of things. She even worked with us when we wanted to search for different vendors to accommodate our budget. The day of the wedding had some stressful moments due to the hotel, but Shannon was on top of it and made sure everything went well. We couldnt recommend her more to do your wedding. You'll be thankful you did!

e was so relaxed during planning and on the day of the wedding, which as a bride is critical! She went above and beyond in the planning stages, actually coming to my house on a couple occasions to take things off my hands. It was such a relief to have someone as my backup, who turned out to be the one running the show! She is kind, genuine, organized, and always eager to take something off of your hands. had little luck. He gave a stab at it and found Shannon. Upon our first meeting with her we loved her professional, organized, yet laid back demeanor. I knew what I liked color wise, style and design but I have zero ability to make it flow. Shannon has a niche in it. I told her my colors pinned a few ideas I liked on Pinterest and said “ok, have at it.” Everything Shannon did was exactly what I envisioned but better. She noticed details most don’t even think of. She was persistent with our very strict venue. Even having them accommodate our wishes in ways they said they couldn’t. She made sure my tiny details such as vents being freshly dusted to the sand not being walked on were covered. I love her so much I am still begging my husband to let me try and convince her to be a “life” planner. She has impeccable taste, she won’t take “no” for an answer from venues that are stubborn about rules that are against the bride and grooms wishes.
Shannon has become family and I was sad the wedding was over because now we don’t talk to her as much. However, we won’t let that last because we have already prepared her to get ready to plan any future upcoming big events for us.

So whenever I can get some help, I welcome it. Which is why I LOVE Something Lovely Wedding & Events, and I have to rave about it to all brides-to-be and other Maids of Honor too.
I have a full-time job in entertainment. So my free time is very limited. I don't have time to research everything that goes into a wedding and provide feedback to my BFF. This is where Something Lovely has been a savior to both of us.
Shannon is SO responsive and always has so many good ideas. Not sure where she gets them from, but we're not complaining! She is also very knowledgeable about venues in Los Angles and Orange County, which is nice because my friend lives in Seattle but is planning to have her wedding in SoCal... so Shannon's input is proving really valuable.
