cently had our engagement session with her. My fiance and I had never had professional photos taken of us and were a little nervous, but we had no need to be with Shelby. She sent us outfit suggestions, guided our session wonderfully, and made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. We received previews and our gallery back super quickly and I'm not exaggerating when I say that we absolutely loved every single image that she captured. We cannot wait to see what kind of magic she creates on our wedding day! Shelby is organized, friendly, quick-to-respond, and a wonderful person - you absolutely cannot go wrong hiring her to capture your special day!

She met us up at Crystal Mountain the day off and took beautiful photographs of my husband and me as well as his son. I will always remember that experience and how supportive, caring and friendly she was. She then gave us a couple of hours to prepare for the ceremony and then returned to our house for the whole thing. Our wedding was definitely different than we both anticipated but the photographs that she took captured the true magic and love of that day. She is definitely worth the splurge and if there’s anything you should splurge on your wedding day for it should be your photographer. We will always remember something minted and how they were a part of such a special day for the both of us.

o make a location in beautiful Mt. Rainier National Park work for us. We took a weekend and drove through the park and selected a few different locations for the small, family only ceremony. Since we could not make reservations on a specific spot, we knew we were going to have to just hope for the best on the day of the wedding. We knew it would be easy to coordinate last minute plans with our families, however, coordinating such an up-in-the-air ceremony with the photographer was a little more stressful. Shelby took that stress and sent it on its way! Not only did she take photos of the wedding, but she also helped choose the perfect, and I mean perfect, location for the ceremony. We did not do a rehearsal, we only had a rough plan of how we were going to do the ceremony. Shelby took the chaos and embraced it. Without her, things would not have been so wonderful. She also did her homework on her way to the ceremony location and scoped out the perfect spots for pictures afterwards. She was so much more to us that day than just a photographer. When the pictures came it, I was blown away by the way she took a rainy, cold, fall day in the mountains and made the moment look so warm and cozy and bright! It was exactly what I wanted. Shelby truly listens to her clients and molds her work to meet their visions; and she is the best to work with!

ery random question we had throughout the year before our wedding and helped us draft a cohesive timeline for our wedding, checking in every few months just to make sure we were feeling good about everything. She is like a helpful “wedding mama” to her #mintedbrides and really helped everything go smoothly. (Side note, she’s also one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.) Her online communication system is helpful as well. Throughout the wedding day, I felt as though I barely saw her, which is a good thing!! No camera stuck in our faces- she has an instinct for the perfect shot, and it doesn’t take more than one snap for her to get it. We even got compliments from our guests about how sweet, polite, and unobtrusive she was. We had sneak peeks for both our engagement shoot and wedding very quickly after. The print company she uses and personally works with is very high quality, as well. I highly recommend Shelby and Something Minted Photography!

Shelby is not just good at her job, she has had the same education as other photographers have, however Shelby is GIFTED. She’s not just good at what she does, but this is hands down her calling. All I had to do was tell her where we were getting married and she went and scouted out all the locations the day before and morning of and it couldn’t have gone better. Lastly, the attention to detail leading up to our big day as well as afterwards while we awaited our photos, were just so precious. Every package sent, every note, every shout out, every word of advice and encouragement, all came at the perfect times and made all the days leading up and after our wedding so special. Shelby will forever be our permanent friend and photographer. After all, when you are capturing a once in a lifetime moment like your wedding, anniversary, graduation, newborn baby, ect. who better to have at your side then someone you can call a friend, something Shelby makes every client feel and understand.
