y had to change the date of our wedding once, and change the venue three times. One of those venue changes came six days before the wedding! But, Samie found a way to not just make it work for us, but to greatly exceed our expectations. For all of the bad luck that we experienced in the days leading up to our wedding, the day of couldn't have gone any better. The space was completely transformed from a rooftop bar into an elegant wedding venue. Samie worked with the onsite staff to remove anything from the room that wasn't bolted down, and bring in beautiful tables and linens. Everything from the menus to the place cards to the various signs we gave her were perfectly placed and positioned. We didn't have to worry about a thing the day of. We know that it could not have been easy for Samie either to help us re-plan our wedding multiple times this summer, and we really appreciate her working through this with us. We know if she could plan our wedding four times with a venue change six days out, she can definitely plan yours once :)

covid restrictions affected our original plans. Lauren helped take charge, since we knew absolutely nothing about planning a backyard wedding. She helped find us new vendors that we needed to arrange for a tent, lighting and tables. Lauren and Samie were worth their weight in gold when our band pulled out the day before the wedding, and they helped us find a DJ, who was wonderful in every way. No matter your vision (even if a pandemic changes your vision three months before the wedding), I’m confident that Lauren could help you plan an amazing wedding!

She welcomed me with a glass of champagne and a friendly smile, and worked with me to develop a custom package that worked within my budget. Lauren did an amazing job presenting me with a multitude of venue and vendor options throughout the planning process. She also helped coordinate meetings for me, handled all of the logistics, and honestly kept me sane! She was always available to me when I needed her and never fed into my emotions when I started to feel overwhelmed. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way and I give most of the credit to Lauren and her super planning powers! She kept me unaware of any issues that arose on wedding day and handled them like a pro. I swear she even held back the forecasted rain showers! Lauren has even helped me after our wedding in suggesting a wedding dress cleaner and giving me instructions on how to change my last name. If you are looking for a wedding planner in Charlotte, I cannot recommend Lauren and Something Perfect highly enough!!! I do not know what my wedding would have been without their help and expertise. They have great relationships with all of the major players in Charlotte and are constant professionals through every interaction. I trusted them implicitly to have my back throughout the entire process and I recommend you do the same!

We started working with Samie since Lauren was pregnant with her first child and Samie was AMAZING in getting us up and running and then communicating everything with Lauren once Lauren took over after having her child. We live in Charleston and I'm a teacher, so I knew I wanted to get as much nailed down in Charlotte before school started as I could. Michael happened to be starting a new job at the end of July and together we had just a few days of face-to-face time with Samie in Charlotte to look at venues. Once we decided on our venue, there was really only one available date for us- March 17. We had about 7 and 1/2 months of planning time but Samie executed every step flawlessly. She prioritized vendors for us based on their availability and how early she knew we needed to book them. Everyone we met with around Charlotte, from venue owners, to various photographers, to hotel staff members had nothing but kind words to say about Samie and Something Perfect. That's how you know you've got a great team! I will be the first to admit that I was not the best at balancing wedding planning and teaching (can anyone relate here??), but Samie never once became impatient with me. If I forgot to tell her a decision on something, she would shoot me a message and remind me to let her know as soon as I could. During our wedding planning process, Michael and I had conflicting schedules, so I leaned on Samie for decisions ALOT. The amazing thing about her is, as many times as I REALLY just wanted her to make the decision for me, she knew exactly how to explain all my options and talk through them with me until I realized what was best for me and Michael. Towards the end of our wedding planning process, Samie welcomed a precious new addition to her family and was out on maternity leave for the last few weeks before my wedding. At this point Lauren stepped in seamlessly and continued working with me through every last minute decision that needed to be made. She knew everything about our wedding, and was literally such an incredible addition to my wedding planning process. I can honestly say that I was beyond fortunate to work with Something Perfect for my wedding. The two weeks leading up to my wedding day were pretty overwhelming for my family. My grandmother passed away on March 1, and my sister and matron of honor was hospitalized and had my sweet nephew six weeks early on Friday, March 9. A specialist in the hospital told her that evening that there was zero chance she would be at my wedding. In the midst of all my emotional Friday night emails to her, Lauren kept me completely calm, reassuring me that we would do what we had to do to make it work. I'm sure there were things that I forgot to do in those last two weeks, but I couldn't tell you what they were. Lauren handled everything and made sure that my wedding day was completely perfect in the midst of the chaos. Everyone says there's always "something" that goes wrong at a wedding, but in my experience, the only thing that could go wrong at your wedding would be if you chose NOT to hire the girls of Something Perfect! They will always have a smile on their face and they will ensure that you always have a smile on yours! They will truly do whatever they need to do to make your day absolutely incredible!! The comprehensive meetings that brought up questions we had never even thought about were so important to making sure the event was well orchestrated and absolutely nothing went wrong on the day of the wedding. My husband and I were able to eat, dance, and enjoy every moment of our day, and then trust Stephanie to deal with all the organizing and packing up of personal items so we could have a restful night. Samie also recommended we do a test bouquet, which we did 2 days before the big day, and thank god because it was all wrong but she handled everything with the florist and making sure it was right so I would not have to worry about it and it turned out perfect on the day of the wedding. Our wedding weekend was so stress and drama free I am SO thankful for Samie and her team for making it so easy for us! Hiring Something Perfect was the best decision we made for our wedding I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Once we started working together (6 weeks before my wedding) she did not stop. I am so thankful for the questions she asked me and the details she paid attention to that I would have never thought of - like if my caterer provided to go boxes at the end for all the extra food (which they didn't) or making sure the flowers would be delivered the same time I started taking pictures. These are the details you don't think about and that's what she is there for! I could go on and on about all the things that impressed me with Lauren but basically SHE WAS AMAZING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER AND HER TEAM!
