Something White Bridal Boutique

I discovered Something White Bridal Boutique when I saw an Instagram ad for the National Bridal Sale in July. Their appointment form was easy to fill out and I could mention what I wanted in a dress right there. Unfortunately, they didn't have gowns in my size (16) but I remained optimistic. Upon arrival, the stylists were very friendly. Bailey listened to all my ideas and pulled out beautiful dresses for me to try on. The dress I said YES to was the last dress I tried on because Bailey informed me it was not something that I initially wanted but before trying on the dress I could tell it was already gorgeous. My bridesmaid told me I walked out with such confidence in the dress I knew that was the one. While putting my downpayment on the dress, Paige, chatted with my bridesmaid who also got her dress at SWBB- Paige remembered her! The atmosphere was pleasant and my experience was surprisingly gratifying! The dress I picked was only slightly out of my price range but the sale was worth it- you only get to experience the right dress once! I can’t wait to be the future Mrs. and it’s all because I found my gown at Something White Bridal Boutique! SWBB estimated that my dress would arrive 6-7 months after the appointment since they would have to order my size but I was ecstatic when they called at 5 months and told me my dress arrived! They had reminded me via email if I needed to book an appointment for any accessories but that was not needed for me, and they also had recommended alterations. The giddiness of trying on my dress again has me counting down the days to pick it up AND until my wedding!

I loved getting my dress at Something White Bridal Boutique! I had no idea what kind of style or dress I would like, and Cheyenne helped me every step of the way. They have a beautiful selection of dresses and make you feel super comfortable during the process!

I found my dress at Something White Bridal! This experience was amazing. I went to another boutique previous to this and the dress quality and experience was so much better at something white. They have so many styles and you can tell that they carefully curate their collection of dresses. Carly was amazing. I would definitely recommend setting up an appointment with her if you can. She made me feel so comfortable, but also picked me some dresses I might not have picked on my own (which spoiler she picked THE dress). Also the prices of the dresses for the quality is unmatched. And the veils and accessories they have are beautiful. I got my dress, veil, and hairpiece all within my budget with room for alterations. Can’t wait until everything comes in!

Carly was amazing to work with!! She asked me all the questions to help figure out what I was really looking for when I came in not really knowing what I wanted except for the few pictures I had on my Pinterest board (which she had already taken the time to look at)! Carly was great to work with! She knew all the questions to ask me to figure out what parts of dresses I liked and didn’t like. She also understood me on my issue with seams and didn’t think I was crazy. She made me try things I hadn’t thought I would like which lead me to getting a dress similar to what I had pictured me in but with a little extra. I can not wait to get married in it!

I had the best experience shopping for my dress here and not just because I found my beautiful gown here. I struggle going shopping and trying on clothes from past insecurities. But Carly welcomed me with a friendly smile and was so excited for me and my bridal party. She really made this day for me beautiful, fun, and rememberable. I found my dress and Something White and had the best experience! We had a mid-week appointment, so essentially had the place to ourselves. Sarah helped me find my dress and was great at asking the right questions to differentiate between a pretty dress and my wedding dress. The store is so pretty with lots of natural light – a big plus in my book. There was plenty of room for my family to hang out as well.

As a plus size bride with a bigger chest, I was SO nervous to go shopping. I thought nothing would look good on me, that everything would be too small and that maybe me spending the day picking the perfect dress with friends and family just wouldn’t be plausible. It’s so hard to find even comfortable cute plus clothes in the real world, wedding dress shopping would be a nightmare. Untillll…I went to Something White Bridal Boutique! This is where I ended up finding my dress and ugh, the tears came as soon as I put it on. I knew the sizes were smaller than my previous shop, so I was so nervous nothing would even get over my booty/hips 🤣 Cheyenne calmed my nerves immediately and assured me that it would be no problem. She was so so positive, uplifting and such a breath of fresh air. Cheyenne even said the second I put the dress I chose on “yep, that’s perfect”…she knew before I even did!! She was also so extremely helpful in getting me in/out of the dresses..if you’ve been dress shopping, you know it’s EXHAUSTING lol. I also cannot even say much I love Paige. She is so amazing and so stinking friendly…basically, sunshine in a person is how I describe her. Already looking forward to seeing their team again in June for alterations. 🥹😍

I would definitely recommend Something White Bridal to another Bride! The boutique is beautiful with many styles and designers to choose from! My appointment was on a Friday night and we had the whole place to ourselves for my appointment. Paige did not hesitate to help find the perfect dress for me - no matter how long it took! She has even been super communicative with the arrival of my dress. I am not from KC, so Paige researched seamstresses in my hometown in New York for me to bring my dress to once i bring it home! I cant wait to pick up my dress in March!

It was a great experience, the consultants were amazing! I'm not much of a city girl and didn't know what to except shopping in the city, but it truly was a day I'll cherish. My wedding is only six months away and they were so helpful in finding a dress I could buy off the rack. I love my dress and am thankful for how they worked with my time frame and budget.

Something White was exactly what I was looking for in wedding dress shopping- guidance where I needed it from my expert stylist, Cheyenne, freedom to choose the dresses I wanted to try on, and was one of the only places in Kansas City that let my guests look at the dress racks as well, which they were very excited about. The boutique nickels and dimes you for everything. They do not have an in house seamstress. They offer services which you would believe to be complimentary and then charge you for it afterwards.

I had the BEST experience at Something White Bridal Boutique. The gals made me feel so relaxed from the moment I entered their shop. Paige (the owner) listened intently to my vision and dream dress, and the first one she recommended was the one I purchased and fell absolutely in love with. Once I said yes, she brought a few glasses of bubbly to celebrate! It’s recommended to start shopping for your dress one year before your wedding, and I was a little late at 8 months out. Paige was so kind and placed my order the day of my appointment, and I had my dress back to me in 3 short months (my dress was custom-made to order from Australia) with plenty of time for alterations. Something White sent helpful emails every step of the way- alternation recommendations, accessory appointment reminders, and clean/preserve appointments after the wedding. I found these emails helpful because it was one less thing I had to worry about as a busy bride. I’m so happy with my experience from start to finish. The boutique is so cozy and inviting, and they have the sweetest shih tzu that loves all the pets. I cannot recommend Something White enough to purchase your dream dress from.

Let’s just say I am a very indecisive bride! Whenever it was time to choose wedding dress shops, I made an appointment at four different places. I live about 2 and 1/2 hours away from Kansas City however there was one store that I have always wanted to go to in that area, so I made the choice to schedule an appointment there even though it was a very far distance. Since we were driving so far, I wanted to make it worth our trip and go to at least one more bridal shop while we were up there. I ended up stumbling across Something White Bridal and booked an appointment. I will say that out of all four places that I went to, Something White Bridal was SUPERIOR. The other store I went to in Kansas City did not take care of their dresses at all! They had makeup stains on them and were even torn. Something White Bridal truly placed so much care into preserving the dresses so all brides could experience trying them on exactly how they will look when they order one and it comes in brand new. Something White Bridal places the dresses you choose on the ground and has you slowly step inside of them and they help you pull them up. They had SO MUCH knowledge with clipping the dresses as well. The specialist clipped the dress all different ways so I could see how the front would look, the back would look, and even the straps would look in my size. All of which perfectly hugged my body. They let me go through a wide range of dresses and use up my entire appointment. They had a lot of knowledge about designers and what we could change about the dresses like inserts, changing colors, changing lace, etc. They truly let me take my time and be intentional and thoughtful with shopping. All of the other stores I went to I could tell that the specialists did not have nearly as much knowledge and their dresses all looked very cheap and dingy compared to the dresses at Something White Bridal. I think you really get what you pay for by choosing Something White Bridal. I personally looked around A LOT and finally came back around to purchasing the dress I fell in love with at Something White Bridal. Absolutely nothing else I tried on even compared to it. If you are looking for experienced/knowledgeable people and dresses that look and feel luxurious and worth the cost, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!

SW was a wonderful experience to find my wedding dress. I had tried online stores options and one other local place before SW. I was left very uncomfortable and unsure about the dress shopping process. I LOVE that this store had only me and my party there for the time of my appointment. Not only does it make you feel special, but greatly helped me be less nervous stepping out in the dresses. The consultant was kind and very much listened to the feedback when dress pulling. Utimately I did get my dress there. I was dress shopping just 2 months before my wedding and they considered timing of any dress I was shown. My dress came in within 2 weeks, even sooner than expected. The owner had put my order in on the shop's off day to ensure rapid delivery. All in all, it was a great experience working with them.

Something White Bridal Boutique was amazing to work with! Carly was exceptional with listening to my ideas and pulling dresses that fit my style. She had a warm and welcoming attitude and you could tell that she loves what she does and has a vast knowledge on the dresses in the store. I loved how they only take one appointment at a time; it really made me feel special and that all hands were on deck to help me find my perfect dress. I had another appointment scheduled for that day, but ended up canceling it because I found the dress of my dreams here! Not to mention the steal of a deal I got on everything! After saying yes, SWBB showered my guests and I with a complimentary champagne toast and customized signs to make for the perfect photo-op. I can't recommend this boutique enough!

My dress [by Madi Lane] came in 15 days earlier than SWBB told me to expect in their official email after I bought my dress. And that was great - until it wasn’t. After their notification email, I scheduled my appointment to pick up my dress (for which I had already paid the entire balance) within the 30-day window specified by their contract. That was difficult enough for me because of the demands placed on my schedule by my mom’s stage IV cancer treatment. But I know it was in the contract, and I was able to book one of the *three* appointments per week that are available outside of traditional M-F 9-5 businesses hours. I promise, I am a rule follower and a people-pleaser (I also tipped my bridal consultant $269.95, which I think was the 10% option, because their card machine prompted me to do so - I don’t want conflict)! Then another family member passed away after a stroke, and the funeral was scheduled for the day of my appointment. I informed SWBB in advance and rescheduled my appointment for the next Saturday appointment available, which was 9 days outside of the 30-day window. Again, I assure you that I understand the text of the policy. However, the primary reason that I bought my dress from SWBB rather than another area store that carried the same dress was because I liked that it was locally-owned and I thought it would be an authentic, relationship-based sale…. That was my mistake. I don’t want you to make the same one. When I picked up my dress, I explained my situation to the manager, who responded “We have to enforce these policies the same for everyone so we aren’t put in the situation where we have to decide whose excuse matters.” She then cancelled the additional $200 veil purchase I had just made because “we cannot trust that you won’t misunderstand our policies and get your own feelings hurt again”. In sum… if you can be sure that your family members won’t get cancer and/or die within days of the time your dress arrives, there’s nothing wrong with SWBB. They might even think you are intelligent enough to understand their rules and not ask to discuss a complicated situation! If they refuse your business, it’s for your own good because you are too stupid, and they just don’t want you to hurt your own feelings!

I loved my time at Something White this past weekend! The staff is amazing in helping you find the perfect dress for wedding day! My experience was so easy and amazing! I’m not usually one to like trying things in but the staff was super helpful with everything and it was such a breeze! I cannot wait to share pictures of wedding day in August!

I usually don't love trying on clothes, but they made it fun and are completely on your team if you like or don't like something. They've been super communicative since I found the dress as well! Something White Bridal Boutique was absolutely amazing to me! I had a horror story with my first wedding dress at another boutique and I came in to SW looking for a backup and turned out loving my new dress more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you to their wonderful staff for welcoming me with open arms and treating me like a bride that could walk down the isle ecstatic in her beautiful wedding gown!

I found the most perfect dress from this boutique! I had already been shopping at 2 other places that day, and 4 total places before coming to Something White. I wanted something different, but not something crazy. My mom (who is a huge crier) did not cry over any of the other dresses that day. I was beginning to think I would have to pick one without her tears. When I walked out in my first dress at Something White, my mom gasped and instantly cried. Although I still tried on others, the first dress was THE dress. Carly, my consultant, was great at making sure I decided if I liked or didn't like the dress, as I heavily rely on the opinions of others and always wanted my entourage to tell me what they thought. But she also gave me her opinion when we had narrowed it down to two dresses, because it was important to me to find a dress that looked the absolute best on me from all eyes. Also, I have a feeding tube that leaks alot, and she gave me a piece of fabric when I mentioned being super worried about getting anything on the dresses (i had brought multiple towels of my own, but I underestimated how bad it was going to leak by the third appt of the day). She made me feel quite comfortable and was very friendly and personable. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because once I found my dress, she said we were going to do a champagne toast, then I got charged $45 for the "celebration package" which I did not expect. Also, Carly handed us the champagne and letter board stating that I found my gown, but she walked away right after and did not offer to take all of our picture with the board, which I would have absolutely loved. I did not want to walk over and ask her as I am a little shy and did not want to bother her as she was behind the desk. Especially because we were the only ones there at the time. I definitely found the perfect gown though. One that was modern and beautiful but different than ones I saw everywhere else.

I was super impressed with my experience at Something White Bridal Boutique. Carly was amazing and made sure my appointment felt personalized to my group and I. She was constantly asking questions and trying to get a feel of what I was looking for in my dress. If you are more introverted and would prefer a more quite shop I would recommend going in the middle of the week. My group and I went on both a Wednesday and a Saturday and the shop was definitely more busy on Saturday. However, it was nothing too crazy that my group and I couldn't handle. The shop has dresses that fit in every price range and I never felt pressured to step out of my comfort zone. Overall I will highly recommend SWBB to all of my friends and family getting married in the future as it was the best experience I had while shopping for my wedding dress!

I had the best experience at Something White!! It was my last scheduled appointment for the weekend and I was so glad I went! I was being rather indecisive, and my consultant helped me narrow down what I was missing. I was even able to walk through the store and show her which dresses I was interested in trying on! She listened to everything I was wanting, and pulled the perfect dress for me. She also helped me find the accessories to make it exactly the way I was wanting!
