From the moment I met our artist, Hayley, for my bridal hair and makeup trial, I felt completely at ease and knew I was in the best hands going into our wedding day. On the wedding morning, Hayley made everyone feel extremely comfortable, and our bridesmaids and family absolutely loved meeting her and working with her. She was incredibly efficient and kept everything moving smoothly, allowing us to stay well within our scheduled timeline without ever making the morning feel rushed or stressful. Most importantly, our hair and makeup turned out absolutely beautiful! Some of my bridesmaids don't wear any or much make up daily, and they still felt like themselves just elevated. I loved the hair and makeup Hayley did on me. We made some edits from my trial and she executed the final look perfectly. The hair and makeup also lasted all day and night even with the rain! I also love that this vendor has a whole salon offering other services other than hair and make up. I used Leah for spray tans for wedding events and she made me feel so comfortable and gave me the perfect glow I was looking for. I highly recommend Something You Beauty!

My bridesmaids commented that when they've been in other weddings, they sometimes felt self-conscious working with hair and makeup artists, but they felt gorgeous working with Something You. My goal was to look like an elevated version of myself, and I achieved just that. Not to mention, the Something You team was incredibly sensitive and kind to me knowing that I lost my father a month before my wedding. I cannot recommend them enough and will be forever grateful for them for making me feel perfect on my wedding day.

u team able to make sure we were all glamorous for the whole day. Hayley, Jen, and Melissa were incredibly efficient in beautifying my huge bridal party (8, whoops), mom, aunt, mother in law, and myself on my wedding day! Everyone was so sweet, talented, and didn't complain at all about the early hours, hot hotel rooms, or my dog joining in the festivities. They were kind, funny, and did such a beautiful, long lasting job on everyone's hair and makeup. Also, I didn't think it was possible to get so much hair and makeup completed in the timeline they managed.
On a more personal note, Hayley was so so lovely. I'm not terribly decisive, and I was definitely timid at the beginning of the whole process. Hayley was able to make me feel comfortable in my own skin and look like myself both in person and in photos. If you're in the area and are still looking for a team for hair and makeup, I highly recommend considering working with Something You Beauty.

As soon as you book with them, they stay in monthly contact by sending extremely helpful countdown emails. They did a fantastic job setting up a timeline for our morning and sticking to it down to the minute. Myself and my full bridal party were totally in love with the way our hair and makeup looked. u get), and they offer a wide variety of artists. I chose to pay extra for a preview session, which I’m glad I did—while I was happy with my makeup initially, I wasn’t fully satisfied with my hair. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to schedule another trial, but the team communicated with me afterward to adjust the plan and helped find a hairstyle that worked beautifully on my actual wedding day. On the wedding morning, they provided hair and makeup for my entire bridal party as well as the mother of the bride and mother of the groom. Everyone had two 30-minute sessions, with two sessions of 60 minutes allotted for me, and they created a detailed schedule in advance that kept everything running smoothly—we finished right on time. They also traveled from the suburbs into the city without issue, which we really appreciated. The only downside is that you aren’t able to choose your specific artists, as they’re assigned to you, but everyone we worked with was talented and professional, so it ultimately wasn’t a concern. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend Something You Beauty for wedding hair and makeup.

The makeup was exactly what I envisioned: natural, fresh, and enhancing everyone’s features without feeling heavy or overdone. Every member of the bridal party looked stunning and still felt like themselves. The hairstyles were equally beautiful, from elegant updos to soft curls, and they lasted all day and night, even through unexpected rain showers!
What impressed me most was how smoothly the timeline ran. Weddings can be stressful, but the team kept everything on track without rushing anyone, creating a calm and enjoyable atmosphere.

Since we had a church ceremony and a bit of time before we could access our reception site, we booked the suite at the salon to get ready- I had 8 bridesmaids, myself, and parents, and it was the perfect backdrop for our morning. Quiet, clean, and a pretty backdrop for getting ready photos. We also did the first looks in the courtyard, which provided beautiful scenery.
My makeup and hair lasted all day & night, and looked absolutely seamless. Hayley worked with me to get exactly what I was picturing, and was so open to adjustments. But really, there weren’t many needed because she nailed it! I felt glowy and beautiful the entire day, start to finish.
They were organized and easy to work with from a planning perspective. The timeline they provided for all of our girls ensured that the morning flowed seamlessly. We never felt rushed or behind schedule. They were professional, kind, and attentive.

I was a little worried going into this part of the wedding planning process but Something You made it super easy. They helped me nail down exactly how many stylists and provided regular check-in’s leading up to the day which really added to the excitement for the big day. The trial was super easy and I was able to take notes and provide updates afterwards to make improvements for the day of. Emma and I even chatted a bit before the big day to share recommendations on lip colors I should look into for the wedding. Something You made a really detailed schedule and provided clear instructions to follow for the day of - and if I had questions they were very quick to reply.
I had some tweaks after my trial and Jess and Emma were great at adjusting and I absolutely loved my final bridal look. My bridal party also had a great experience while getting ready on the day of. Would definitely recommend hiring Something You Beauty for your wedding day!

n how expensive trials alone can be. I left the studio feeling unhappy with the results and honestly felt ugly. I provided detailed feedback to the artists during the trial, through follow-up texts, and again on my wedding day. On my wedding day, I initially liked how the look turned out, but within an hour, my hair began to fall apart—the curls completely dropped, and bobby pins started slipping out. My bridesmaids had to help redo my hair multiple times throughout the day. My makeup also held up for only about three hours before becoming uneven, oily, and visibly sliding off, which was disheartening given that we hadn’t even finished taking our wedding photos. I had noted this exact issue after my trial, hoping to avoid it on the big day.
After the wedding, my bridesmaids mentioned they were also disappointed with their hair and makeup, which was disheartening to hear.
If you’re looking for a very light, natural makeup look, this might be a good fit. However, if you want flawless, long-lasting hair and makeup for a full day of wedding festivities, I would recommend exploring other options.
I’ve had my hair and makeup done around 15 times for different events, and unfortunately, this was one of my most disappointing experiences.

I wish I had known about your concerns earlier so I could have had the opportunity to address them immediately. After the trial, I didn’t receive any indication that there were unresolved issues, and I would have gladly offered multiple solutions to ensure you felt confident and happy with your look leading up to the big day. My goal is always to provide every client with exceptional service, and had I known there were concerns during the planning process, I would have worked diligently to resolve them. Unfortunately, I was not made aware of your concerns until reading this review, which left me without the opportunity to address them for you.
It’s disappointing to hear about the issues you experienced with the longevity of your hair and makeup as this is not typical of our work. We have hundreds of reviews noting that the hair and makeup lasted all night. We take pride in using high-quality products and techniques to ensure looks are both beautiful and long-lasting. I will review this feedback with my team to make sure we continue to improve and provide the best possible experience for all of our brides.
On a positive note, your artists mentioned how happy you were on the wedding day and how you hugged them and said you never felt more beautiful! Your photos are gorgeous and you and your new husband look so happy together.

Lauren was amazing and definitely gave me and all of my girlfriends a natural, clean, beautiful look. She and the rest of the Something You team really focus on natural looking makeup, so that we all looked like ourselves, just a little more special!

ment we started our trial until all of our day of services were complete. She was so nice, so friendly and so fun, and immediately matched our energy while we were getting ready. All of my girls raved about her service and amazing personality while we got to know her a bit on the big day. We had the time of our lives getting ready and she was such a big part of the process. She made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease while getting hair and makeup done. to be honest and ask for changes. I was looking for a soft, natural look and she made that happen! My only main concern was that there booking site for trial appointments was not great; I didn't receive the link to book for a while and then it showed that there were hardly any appointments available. Otherwise, everything was great!

Hayley did an incredible job in making me feel like an elevated version of myself, and the makeup and hair didn’t budge all throughout the night of dancing. Gina was also wonderful with my bridesmaids and my husband’s / my mom - like me, my mom doesn’t often wear makeup and Gina walked her through every step of the process so she even left with some great tips for the future. Additionally, the whole team was super responsive as we were trying to figure out timelines, whether an extra artist would be needed for all my girls, etc., which made the planning process seamless. Could not recommend Something You enough!

every detail in order. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind and the artists that provided our services are so talented at their craft-- bridesmaids that have been in numerous weddings said it was one of the top hair & make-up services they received for a wedding and truly felt they looked like themselves. We utilized the bridal suite which was amazing to hang in and relax all day with ample space where you didn't feel on top of each other. Additionally we were so happy we had the space since we ran ahead of schedule and had some down time to relax before the big event! I can't say enough good things or put into words the experience that I had with this salon. They now are my regular salon for all my beauty needs! Would HIGHLY recommend
