Photography has been my infatuation since I first received a mini instamatic Mickey Mouse camera. Unfortunately, my mother sold my camera at a garage sale, so today, I resort to using substitute equipment. In spite of my early camera loss, I continued to propel my passion for photography. For me, wedding photography, has really become the pinnacle of my enthusiasm. Each wedding I photograph takes on it's own romanticism and uniqueness. I truly appreciate the art of a wedding, and capturing it as creatively and as completely as possible. To me, a candid laugh is divine and no detail is too small. Capturing moments in San Francisco, New Orleans and beyond.

I have been following Sonia's work for years because I love her vision and her eye, so when it was time to get married myself I immediately got in contact. Aside from being immensely talented, Sonia is extremely easy to work with. She got our wedding concept immediately and gave wonderful suggestions to help flesh out our vision. The day of the wedding, she made us feel at ease and captured some really candid moments of my usually very camera-shy husband that were absolutely stunning. The entire first-look shoot was exactly what we had hoped for: deeply emotional, saturated with color, romantic and most importantly not staged at all. In fact, the photos she took of our entire event were so lovely we had to have them all. Wonderful wedding photographs are the best mementos of your wedding- everytime I look at one of Sonia's photos, it brings me back to the day itself. Thank you!!!!!

Sonia is absolutely the best! I have known her for years and have been following her on social media so I immediately knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding. My husband and I normally hate taking photos and think we look very awkward but this was not the case working with Sonia. She made us feel comfortable and made us laugh the entire time. I absolutely love every single photo from our evening and cannot recommend Sonia enough!

The photographer was the very first thing we had booked for our wedding. I had no vision or anything but I did know that I wanted an awesome photographer! After some research, I decided to book Sonia and I am so happy I did! Sonia was super responsive to emails and calls. I had to change the dates and venues several times and Sonia was never pushy or upset. She was patient throughout and I really appreciated that. Our photos turned out perfect! We loved them all, and are so thankful we had Sonia as our photographer. I would definitely recommend having Sonia as your photographer!!

Sonia was simply the best decision I could have made throughout the entire wedding planning process. She is so much more than a photographer, as she provides each of her brides with invaluable advice and detailed planning timelines. Her tireless efforts to keep our day running smoothly left every member of my family and bridal party on schedule, and our family portraits were a dream! So efficient, and we were left with every image that we requested. I shed quite a few tears when I received our wedding photos, because she truly made our day look like the fairytale I hoped it would be. Each photo was more stunning and beautiful than the last, I could not begin to choose a favorite. One of the best parts of our package was the adventure day that included my husband, Sonia and I venturing out into the city the day after the wedding to capture some additional images of the two of us. This was a novel concept to me, and a great way to get some gorgeous images without the stress of being on a schedule. The outcome was simply perfect! I adore Sonia more than words can say, and I am so thankful she was there to capture our wedding.

Sonia was a dream to work with. Wedding planning can be really stressful, but throughout the entire process of working with Sonia I never felt worried or stressed about how our photos would turn out. From our very first meeting with her Sonia put us at ease. She got to know us as a couple very well in a short amount of time and got a good handle on the style of photos we wanted. She showed us lots of examples but also listened to our ideas and requests. On our wedding day Sonia was a life saver. She seemed to sense the exact moment we were getting stressed or overwhelmed and pulled us aside for private photos. Not only did she capture beautiful shots but she also helped us reconnect with each other and remember what the day was all about. After the wedding we received a link to our photos online that we could share with family and friends. Sonia also sent us a beautiful package with some printed photos from the day. It was an extra special touch that exemplifies just how much she goes above and beyond to make that special day even more memorable. Sonia is creative, fun, organized, professional, and a joy to work with. I recommend her for any occasion you need photographed!

Sonia Savio has already made a name for herself out in San Francisco. She shot my wedding in New Orleans, and I couldn't have been happier. She is extremely organized, professional, talented, accommodating, and thoughtful. You will not be disappointed, and she is worth every penny. She will work for every shot, including getting on the floor, actually the street, with her elbow in a puddle of water! She is so obviously talented that everyone will comment about how amazing and professional she is.

We were so happy to have Sonia and her second shooter Liz photograph our wedding. They handled all the hiccups that are bound to happend with grace under pressure. Were firm in handling the wedding crowd and relaxed and inviting when shooting more intimate shots. We can't wait to see the photos!

We had Sonia shoot our wedding and engagement recently and we couldn’t be happier. Good photographers are hard to find. And Really good photographers are even harder to find. Sonia definitely falls into the Really good category. And we’re sure of this because we met with several different photographers, and reviewed about 20 or 30 portfolios before we found Sonia. It’s worth noting that “Really Good” also comes with a higher price tag, but we felt pretty confident in Sonia’s work, and once we did our engagement shoot, we were certain it would be worth every penny! We had our engagement shoot on our sailboat, and Sonia was in her element. Not only did she get some great shots, but we were able to establish a rapport which put us all at ease, which translates into beautiful, relaxed portraits. Our primary goal with the engagement shoot was to have an engagement session without having it feel stiff or stereotyped. We brought the same ideals to the wedding, and while we do have formal posed pictures we also have some great creative shots of guests and details throughout the evening. Everybody at the wedding felt comfortable around Sonia, and as a result the photos captured exactly what we hoped they would: Our guests having a great time! From a technical perspective, Sonia really knows her medium. She was able to capture great shots while moving, with the sun behind her subjects, in the dark, at sunset, indoors, outdoors and everything in between. While working with her, we learned that whenever she says “hmm, interesting” we knew that this meant we would soon see an amazing shot! She has many packages available to choose from in a wide price range

After contacting 10 different photographers and interviewing 4 we decided to go with Sonia for our wedding photography due to her competitive price and the quality of her work. It was the best decision we could have made. Sonia was incredibly professional and responsive during the planning process. She met us on location in Oakland for a walk through and also scouted the location on her own. The day of the wedding I was freaking out because the power had gone down at our venue the night before so we were unable to have a rehearsal. Sonia was incredibly calming and supportive, exactly the sort of person you want at your wedding. She arrived early to our hotel room to take the preparation pictures and immediately was a joy to work with. During the ceremony she did a fantastic job working with very challenging light (it was in a planetarium)she was also completely unobtrusive while getting all the shots we had discussed and more. After the ceremony she was wonderful taking the formal portraits and group pictures. She was completely professional and efficient while fun and even finished the group shots ahead of schedule leaving us more time to do a "couples walk" where she took us to the various locations she had scouted beforehand. I cant tell you how spectacular those pictures came out. The look like they came from a magazine or movie. Sonia was great after the wedding as well getting us our pictures very quickly and even making a beautiful slideshow put to music of the highlights free of charge. I cannot recommend her enough!

Sonia was amazing to work with and our photos are beautiful! Sonia was very personable and made sure that everything was in order before out big day. She is very professional, and helped calm the mood when things got hectic. We searched around a lot for a photographer, and feel so lucky we found her because her quality of photos is unbeatable.

Sonia is the most kind, sweet & professional photographer I have ever dealt with!! She was amazing to work with, very responsive if I had any questions (and trust me, I had a lot!) and really gave great customer service. Beyond that- her photos are absolutely gorgeous! She is a true artist. I am a completely satisfied customer!
