Matt Fly was amazing!! We had a variety of guests (ages, ethnicities, etc) and everyone was up and dancing the whole night. He was very attentive to the bride and groom throughout the whole wedding process. Along with our must play songs, we allowed our guests to make requests and Matt made sure to accommodate everyone. Definitely go with Sonic Entertainment if you never want to leave the dance floor!

We would not recommend Sonic DJs for your wedding based on our experience. They don’t follow their own deadlines, they discouraged us from adding too many song requests because the...
y say they are professionals and read the room and see what the crowd prefers. Their portal with planning forms has a clear date that it said that it would close, and the owner decided to close ours earlier than that posted date. When we asked him to open it and give us access until the date that they had chosen, he would not. On the day of the wedding, during dinner service, the DJ was playing songs like Girl Put Your Records On and Sex Is On Fire, which are not songs we had requested or even similar to the types of songs we requested or preferred. During the dancing, he was playing songs that we had definitely not requested, and none of our guests would have been requesting. I had to intervene myself and ask him if he could play any of our requested songs or where these songs were coming from. He then got an attitude and said that tons of people had been coming up and making requests, but did I want him to exclusively play my requests only? I had been watching before this, and there were not tons of people approaching him, so it seems that the administrative staff and DJs just do what they please and do not respect that this is the couple’s wedding at the end of the day, and it’s reasonable to request access to the planning portal as long as they have advertised that you have access, and the music played should not be the DJs preference if it’s clear that it’s not what the crowd or couple prefer. Overall, we would definitely choose a different company if we could do it again.

Our DJ, William Harrison Jr., was phenomenal! He was professional, kind, and kept the energy up all night. He handled every last-minute change and song request seamlessly, ensuring everything flowed perfectly while keeping our guests on the dance floor.
Matt was also incredible throughout the entire process. He was always responsive, answered every question promptly, and was genuinely kind and helpful from beginning to end.

William was our DJ, and he provided the sound for the ceremony, as well as music throughout the cocktail hour and reception. He did a great job with the announcements, and kept the dance floor fun. We missed some of the dancing due to sunset hour pictures, but I appreciated that he saved a lot of our "must play" songs for when we were on the dance floor!! We booked Sonic Entertainment based on a recommendation from the wedding planner at the venue, David was very familiar with Blue Mountain and all the setup and coordination of ceremony/reception timing went very smoothly. David also did the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour which was great as well. Through the whole evening he did a great job of playing the songs we had requested while mixing in songs that were hits with the guests.

perience. I hadn't been to a wedding in a long time and had no idea what a normal timeline of events looked like, but the form on Sonic's online portal and Matt's recommendations were hugely helpful.
He was incredibly patient and flexible when I had to last-minute reschedule one of our meetings and when I requested an extra hour less than 2 weeks before the wedding. Also, as an overthinker and over-planner, I was stressing about every detail of the wedding, and Matt's confident and reassuring attitude made the entertainment part of the reception one less thing I had to worry about.
On the day of, everything came together perfectly. Right before the wedding party introductions, Matt ran through the timeline and I made a couple last minute changes, which he had no problem accommodating. I had stressed the importance of music for all ages since about 25% of our wedding guests were young kids. He played all of our requested songs, which included quite a few line dances and a couple slow songs, and he filled up the rest of the time with songs that had guests of all ages on the dance floor all night!
