We had Sonic Rue for our ceremony and reception. Chris went above and beyond, he even provided sound reinforcement for our ceremony musicians without us asking. It is little touches like this that show you someone really cares about what they do and that they want to ensure you have a great day. Chris provided us with a document to edit months in advance so that we could set the music we wanted for each event and throughout the entire night. Music means a lot to us, and Sonic Rue did not miss a beat! His reliability, communication, and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. Thank you Sonic Rue for a great day!

I can't even begin to explain how perfect Chris (Sonic Rue) made our wedding last Saturday! From the first call with Chris, I knew we made the right decision by booking with him!... every email was returned in minutes...every request I had for the wedding day was done.. he kept the dance floor packed all night, until the final song...almost a week later and guests are still complimenting the playlist, how fun the photbooth was, what an amazing touch the personalized monogram was and the uplighting that tied it all together...finally the jazz duo for cocktail hour was the best...the song selction, the class it brought to the wedding....I could go on for days how great Sonic Rue is and our wedding couldn't have been as perfect as it was without them! DJ Jackson at Sonic Rue was absolutely amazing and really made our wedding day so wonderful! He kept the energy up all night with the best songs! We absolutely loved all the music, and can't thank him enough. Truly exceeded our expectations in the best way possible.

DJ Sonic Rue made the music and Photo Booth services a BREEZE! We filled out a spreadsheet in advance and that was pretty much it! Our DJ John was absolutely amazing. He got the crowd into it and the dancing was all night. Sonic Rue/Chris was the BEST! From the very first phone call all the way through the final song, everything was perfect! We used Sonic Rue for our live band for our welcome reception, a string duet for when we walked down the aisle, a jazz band for the cocktail hour, and DJ with saxophone playing along for the reception! We also used Sonic Rue for our photobooth and hologram. With so many moving pieces, I was worried something may go wrong, but Chris and his team had everything under control. They were extremely organized and even gave me a worksheet to fill out ahead of the wedding to ensure we had a plan. A few highlights -- the band agreed to play an extra hour at our welcome reception and everyone loved them, the guests also loved the saxophone player who was out on the dance floor during our reception, the photobooth was a big hit and we loved being able to see all of the pictures after the event, and the dance floor/music never slowed down (which is exactly what I requested from Chris). Our wedding weekend was perfect and Sonic Rue was a big reason why it was so special! Thanks Chris + team!

Chris was incredible to work with- extremely responsive, communicative, and transparent with everything from the start. I loved having a shared Google doc that we could add to in the months leading up to the wedding. My husband and I skipped the first dance and instead performed a song on keys and fiddle, and Chris was amazing with our sound check and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the equipment we needed. During the open dance time he kept everyone on the dance floor and supplemented our list with his expert recommendations. So glad we went with Chris and highly recommend for any couple planning a wedding!

Chris was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Always very quick to respond any time I reached out! He was very organized and on top of everything, any time I had a question or a request he had already taken care of it. He was genuinely the easiest part of wedding planning! Our dance floor was so much fun all night long, he knew exactly what to play to get guests from all ages dancing. It’s been a little over a month since our wedding and we still get people complimenting on how much fun the dance floor was. I have recommended Chris to anyone and everyone who will listen and I would hire him again no doubt!

Sonic Rue/Chris did a fantastic job at our wedding! Having a shared document throughout the planning process was great. We could easily add songs to our do and do not play lists, which Chris followed thoroughly on the big day. We had asked for a combination of songs to come out too and he queued up the timing perfectly. He was also very accommodating to other family members' special requests and mashups of songs. Everyone had an amazing time dancing the night away! I highly recommend Sonic Rue, and will definitely book again if I need another DJ.

After we signed a contract we were given a from that made sure we had all of our song selections covered. The day of Chris showed up early, having already communicated with the venue. He was flexible with our schedule and went out of his way to make our evening perfect. The music selection was great, kept the dancefloor full and everyone had a wonderful time. Chris comes highly recommended!

Chris did a wonderful job with both the music and digital photo booth. The communication before the wedding and the shared song list document made the process of picking music that suited us easy. I really appreciate that we met beforehand and walked through how the day would go. Having both the sound and mics for the ceremony site, and the music at the reception venue was seamless. Guests are still telling me what a great time they had on the dance floor!

My husband and I had a WONDERFUL experience with Sonic Rue (Christopher Rudroff & John Troy). They did an amazing job announcing our parents, wedding party, and us. They played to the crowd with music and took requests. Our guests danced all night long! Christopher went above and beyond by taking pictures and videos at the reception and uploading them to our wedding photo app. I also had to make some last minute changes with a few ceremony songs the night before, and Christopher was so flexible and made those changes without a complaint, we appreciated that soo much! Sonic Rue is an excellent vendor service from start to finish. They helped take much of the stress out of planning by making it as simple as possible. Communication was always prompt and professional. My DJ, Jake, kept the party going all night and everything was perfect.

Chris was so easy to work with, every time I had questions or needed suggestions on how something worked or how to format our ceremony/reception, he was quick to respond and always gave his honest feedback. DJ Jake was our DJ the day of the wedding and he was awesome too! He made sure everything was going to plan and checked in with us as needed. He was funny and entertained our guests as well as played the perfect dancing music. We also used the photobooth service that all the guests enjoyed. Chris was amazing from booking through to the wedding day! We booked with him in January 2022 for our May 2023 wedding and he was incredibly responsive, easy-going, and helpful whenever we had questions. We went with the Enhanced Package and had the photo booth add on. The ceremony music was just what we had hoped for, and the live jazz during cocktail hour was a huge hit with our guests. Chris on saxophone and Jeremias on piano were incredible musicians and added such an elevated feel to the wedding. Chris had everyone on the dance floor and kept the energy up throughout the night, even working in some of my requested songs that were less wedding, more emo (lol) including a song that had my entire bridal party up and scream-singing towards the end of the reception - a highlight for me for sure. Chris’ dad Mark was the photo booth attendant and he was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive for everyone going back and forth to the booth all night. Chris even took a few video clips of our pre-ceremony pictures, ceremony, first dance, and some of the reception, which was incredible as we didn’t have a videographer. All in all, I am so happy with Chris and Sonic Rue, he really made our wedding above and beyond what we had hoped for.

I recently had the pleasure of having Jackson with Sonic Rue DJ for my wedding and I have to say, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Jackson exceeded all of my expectations. First off, Chris got started with the planning process and with our planning itinerary. It was a breeze. A few weeks before the wedding we met with Jackson and he took the time to really understand the vibe we were going for and made suggestions that helped to elevate the overall atmosphere of the wedding. On the day of they arrived early and set up without any issues, making sure everything was perfect before the guests arrived. The music selection was spot on. Jackson played a great mix of songs that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. The transitions were smooth and the energy was high throughout the night. He even took requests from our guests and managed to seamlessly incorporate them into the playlist. We also added the photo booth to our package and it was a hit with our guests. The props were awesome, they had great backgrounds and custom photo strips to choose from. Not only do they have the prints right there, the next day we were sent a file of jpegs from every photo from the booth throughout the night and they all showed what a great time our friends and family had. What really the whole experience apart was their professional demeanor and attention to detail. They made sure to keep the night flowing smoothly and kept in constant communication with the other vendors to ensure everything ran on schedule. In short, if you're looking for a wedding DJ that will take your special day to the next level, look no further than Sonic Rue. They are truly a five-star professional who exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch DJ for their wedding or special event.

I could not recommend anyone more than Chris for your DJ needs! He was always on top of communication and keeping things organized which was a huge requirement for me for any vendor. Chris kept everything running smoothly according to schedule and knew how to keep the part going after the reception. I was worried how the ceremony music would sound together as I had several different song choices for the procession, but he made it work perfectly! If I ever need a DJ again, I will absolutely hire Chris again!

My husband and I were very pleased with Sonic Rue/Chris! We were so happy that we went with them as our wedding DJ. He took requests but didn't allow any of our "don't play" songs be requested (which he told me happened a few times). He also went out of his way to take pictures/videos of our last dance since we didn't have the photographer stay for the entire night. We will cherish those forever.

Chris was very communicative during the planning process. I cannot say if all the songs I put on the list were played but everyone had a great time and the dancefloor was NEVER empty. The night went by so fast, our only regret is that it wasn't longer. On the next note the photo booth was less that I expected. Lots of photos but more that a 3rd of the images were blurry . They just need to step up the settings or maybe invest in better camera. People are drinking , happy and moving a lot in a booth for silly pics and the camera was not capable of handling that aspect. All in all great vendor!

Chris was absolutely amazing to work with!! He made every aspect of planning super easy, was so responsive to communication, and was a hit on our wedding day! We added on the photobooth too and our guests loved it so much. He was able to create a custom welcome sign at the photo booth with a picture of my husband and I, provide a backdrop, and even brought props! We had some issues with the lighting at our venue the day of, but Chris came through with party lights to save the day! 10/10 would recommend hiring Chris for your event!!

Chris was wonderful! Chris offers a wide variety of services; from ceremony music, live cocktail entertainment, Dj reception services as well as a Photo Booth. Chris had a variety of backdrops and photo strips for our Photo Booth as well. With fantastic communication all throughout our process we were able to get exactly what we wanted and for a great price. We 10/10 would recommend!

Sonic Rue played the music for my wedding, both ceremony and reception. I chose the “standard with live piano and saxophone ceremony” which meant live music for ceremony and DJ with lights for reception. He also provided a microphone for both ceremony and reception (which were in two different locations). He was flexible to ideas and my wants/ needs. He answered emails within the day and made suggestions for anything I was unsure about. He made everything about my day go smoothly and played awesome music the entire time. I highly recommend using Sonic Rue for your event!

This was one of our best wedding decisions. Not only was he amazing and far exceeded our greatest expectations - but time and again was able to guide us on items we did not even know we needed to be thinking of. During all of this, he made it easy to customize and develop each part of our wedding to make sure every moment flowed smoothly. Even better he accommodated when it went off track due to my amazingly wonderful and completely chaotic family. He was able to provide a plethora of options as well, including a photo booth, live jazz artist, any and all lighting options, the emcee, plus of course the actual music aspect where he was able to provide a perfect mood for pre ceremony, post ceremony, reception, everything. He was very responsive, but not pushy on moving us along (we are terrible procrastinators juggling a bunch of things). I truly could not recommend this vendor enough if you are looking to book for any event but especially for your upcoming wedding! I can talk until I am blue in the face with compliments of how he made our wedding perfect!

Chris from Sonic Rue was amazing to work with. From our initial emails and phone call to the end of our wedding he was extremely organized, attentive to detail and professional. Right after we booked him for the wedding he sent a very detailed outline which we filled out both on our own and during the several phone calls we had with him leading up to the wedding. In addition to DJing the wedding he also provided a jazz band for the cocktail hour and played the saxophone. We got so many compliments on the live music; it sounded amazing and really elevated the cocktail hour and made it more elegant. He also kept the dance floor crowded all night and our family and friends loved the music he played. Overall he is great at what he does. I am so happy I went with Sonic Rue as my DJ! I will admit that I knew very little about weddings or how to plan a reception, and Chris of Sonic Rue helped clear up so much of my confusion! He was so helpful the entire duration of my planning process. I cannot say enough about how great his communication was. He answered all emails and texts extremely quickly. I even had a last minute change to something in my reception and not only did Chris answer my email right away, but also called me to make sure we were both on the same page. For me, good communication is essential and Chris exceeded my expectations in this area. Chris and I talked about the songs I wanted to hear and I’ll happily say I heard them all at the wedding (even the weird ones I wanted). I truly feel that I would have been so lost and confused if I didn’t have Sonic Rue as my DJ. I appreciate him so much and all of the guidance he offered me. He was an amazing vendor!

Chris both played in the band and DJ'd the event. He did an incredible job and the band was amazing! We still look back at our wedding almost a decade later and think Chris's band was really key to making for a really fun wedding! It was so great that our cousin who had attended our wedding hired Chris to travel across the state with the band for his wedding a couple years later.

Chris really put together quite an evening for us. The dance floor was filled from start to finish much to our delight. It was the perfect mix of music to keep everyone engaged and having fun. We keep giving him out as a referral to other people at our wedding (in July 2017) who said it was one of the best they had ever been to. We didn’t worry about a thing, he had the perfect mics for the toasts, lights for the dance floor and was worth his weight in gold for being a big part of our night!
