Sonoita Vineyards

Sonoita Vineyards is a vineyard, winery, and wedding venue located in Elgin, AZ. It is a space full of history and perfect for couples looking to tie the knot at a unique location. Sonoita Vineyards is perched on 30 acres of land, elevated at 5000 feet, surrounded by mountain ranges and breathtaking nature. This venue has it all, incredible facilities, thrilling views, and plenty of open space. The first vines were planted in 1973 by Dr. Gordon Dutt, a renowned soil scientist. Sonoita Vineyards was the first commercial vineyard in Arizona, officially planted in 1979, with the winery opening soon after in 1983. From its humble beginnings, producing 300 gallons of wine annually, the vineyard now produces over 10,000 gallons per year. Wine varieties grown by Sonoita include Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Mission, Sangiovese, and Syrah. Sonoita Vineyards is a beautiful location for weddings and celebrations of all kinds. Weddings can be held beginning at 5 pm and must end at 10 pm. Set up may start at around 3 pm, giving couples ample time to bring their vision to life. Indoor and outdoor areas are available. Venue rentals include the choice of the vintage room and balcony, the outside lawn, or the gravel area. The vintage room can accommodate up to 72 guests. This space comes with tables, chairs, and access to the outdoor balcony. The vintage room can also be used as a wedding party prep space for couples who want to hold their wedding outdoors. The gravel and lawn areas are both beautiful outdoor spaces, perfect for ceremonies and receptions. The winery's production area is ideal for a dance floor, with LED lighting creating an intimate and fun atmosphere. Sonoita Vineyards is an excellent venue for couples hoping to create an exciting, memorable wedding.
