or an additional 100 dollars which I needed to pay the vendors. They did not tell me beforehand of the hold. When they did eventually tell me I told them I was never informed and they said they wouldn't put it on there. Then they did it anyway. So not only did I have a hold for the full amount of 680 dollars for two nights since it was ou game weekend, there was another 100 being held. So much unneeded stress the day before the wedding.

They also hosted the bar at our reception and I know this was a favorite spot for most of our guests! They were very professional and the day of ran smoothly. Jamie, head of catering, was a little hard to communicate with in the beginning and I had to email/text/call her multiple times to get a response, but she knows her stuff and she made sure that everything was perfect at the reception!

They were also very on top of making sure the buffet line stayed full and fresh and did a wonderful job at cleaning afterwards. My husband and I really had nothing to worry about! The only negative comment I can say about the entire experience was that they were often hard to get a hold of during the planning process. There were a couple of times when I called and sent e-mails and it was at least 2 weeks before I heard back. However, Jaime had a way of making me feel reassured after speaking with her and let me know that anything I wanted for the big day she would do her best to make sure I had it. The price was also very reasonable. We had over 180 people at our wedding and I was very worried about not having enough, but in the end there was plenty! Also, we had a lot of out of town guest (~30 rooms booked) and they gave us a complimentary suite for the night of our wedding, which was a great deal! Overall, I would definitely recommend Sooner Legends to cater your next event!

I got so many compliments on the food that night (The bacon marmalade bruschetta is a must try!). decided on Sooner Legends for our room block, but after meeting with them, we decided to also use them for catering for our wedding reception and the host/caterer for our prenuptial gathering the night prior to our wedding. They were really great to work with. Valerie is awesome. The only downside in our entire wedding weekend was that it was more than 100 degrees! We had planned to have an indoor/outdoor party the night before our wedding and unfortunately, it was just too hot to spend much time outside. However, Sooner Legends was really great and let us utilize part of another space due to the heat. The food was good and perfectly our style - we didn't want anything over the top fancy considering we wanted more of a "casual" feel and we LOVE appetizers - they have a great selection of those. The hotel rooms were great priced, very affordable for our guests. The beds were super comfy too. Would recommend to anyone!

g from Norman and having our wedding not even a month after the Moore tornado, we were getting nowhere fast on finding a caterer. We called around the area and hardly anyone answered--we assumed many businesses were trying to cater for volunteer and rescue efforts after the tornado, which is quite understandable and honorable. But it was making us nervous not having a caterer less than a month out from our wedding. When my step-mom called Sooner Legends, they were busy feeding 1,000 OG&E workers trying to fix the power lines in Moore after the tornado, and someone still answered! We were impressed with their diligence in getting back with us even while being so busy, and we decided to book with them. What little food I did have a chance to taste was average quality. I would have expected it to be a little better for how much it cost, but it was adequate for the amount of food we got. We had all kinds of options with Sooner Legends, and they were flexible in changing our package to cater to exactly what we wanted. The servers they provided at our reception seemed professional, though I didn't get much of a chance to talk with them. They did congratulate me and were very friendly, so I took assurance in this. From what my parents have told me, they were very professional in their cleanup and teardown at the end of the night--they didn't get in anyone's way and they were quick and efficient in packing up. Overall, I would recommend them to someone who needs a reliable caterer at the last minute.
