perspectives that we joked they must have had an invisible assistant! Looking at the collection of images was truly like reliving the day, but without the distractions that prevented us from noticing each & every detail!
Sophie's invitation layouts are unique & beautiful, with simple but brilliant touches like including the dining utensils in the menu shot & layering the wedding rings over a printed monogram...her eye for detail is impeccable!
The way Sophie & Jordan photographed our venue, with such expertise in composition & lighting made an already beautiful setting extraordinary!
And most importantly, the emotion she & Jordan captured in both the posed & candid shots runs so deep it had me alternately tearing up & laughing while going through the shots! I can't imagine a more talented duo, not to mention that they are simply a wonderful couple & a joy to be around!

I never had to worry about them as a vendor, I knew they would fully bring it. From start to finish they were so attuned to detail and made sure that they were meeting our needs. Not only did they do their job but they are held other vendors accountable for doing their jobs (e.g running to find the videographer when my parents were about the do their speech). A master in her craft, Sophie shoots on film with the kind of humility that will speak for itself. She will make you feel at ease by the time you ever step foot infront of the camera. Along with her husband Jordan, they are the perfect pair and truly a joy to watch work together.
They will give you and your partner direction when it is needed, but they also know when to stand back and just make you giggle to capture that genuine smile.
Both Sophie and Jordan go above and beyond for their couples to ensure a smooth and seamless wedding day. Sophie is extremely thorough taking every detail into account. For example, Sophie has already accounted for all the details that a bride or groom may not have thought about; such as any venue concerns or restrictions, the lightning that may be required once the sun sets, the overall flow of one's wedding day, and everything one doesn't think about in order to ensure the best quality images.
Most importantly Sophie listens to all of the images that are important to YOU as a couple. By the time, your wedding day arrives Sophie and Jordan have taken every last detail into account. They even go as far as to learn the names of important family members and bridal party members to really make everyone feel comfortable during portraits. They truly will make you feel like family. To speak to their commitment to their couples, they will go above and beyond to get that perfect shot! (I'm looking at you Jordan with those Spider-Man skills traversing a balcony, just to get that perfect firework shot !!)
Lastly and perhaps the most importantly, the images speak for themselves. Sophie and Jordan do not take their responsibility as wedding photographers lightly. As a wedding photographer, there are times when one has only one "shot" to get it right. Sophie and Jordan truly have a passion for their work. Every image is classically beautiful, but at the same time unique to each couple.

One thing that stood out to us was that early on they asked for photos of our family members so they can memorize their names and faces for our wedding weekend (rehearsal dinner & wedding). It was such a nice touch for them to call people by their names rather than "hey mother of bride". This made everyone in our family and bridal party feel comfortable from the moment they met Sophie and Jordan - which was at our rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.

st. I also loved the natural light and soft romantic feel I found throughout all of her work. And our phone call interview honestly sealed the deal. I felt like I was talking to someone I had known for years and felt instantly comfortable with her. I could tell she was reliable, flexible, and easy to work with. She easily understood my vision and was eager to get to know my husband and me on a personal level.
Working with Sophie and Jordan, I felt so at ease, truly heard, and taken care of. They have a way of capturing special, in-between moments and making every shot feel authentic and never forced. Moreover, I can’t even begin to describe the high praise we received about the Epton's from our friends and family. They consistently praised Sophie and Jordan for making them feel comfortable and natural - even in the craziest and most stressful of settings. They’re also very subtle and have a way of being in the right place at the right time without you evening knowing it.
I love that our wedding photos perfectly capture us and the whole sentiment of the day. They are timeless and authentic, and it’s obvious that the composition of each photo is purposeful and intentional - every photo, whether a picture of our invitations or of our rings, looks like a magazine cover. They are so incredibly kind and were willing to help out in any way they possibly could. From implementing their fine attention to detail to directing us how and where to pose to learning all of our wedding party and family members' names, Sophie and Jordan completely exceeded all of our expectations and so much more. From our first conversation with Sophie and Jordan, it never once felt like a “work call” but rather an amazing conversation with old friends. We have loved every minute we spent with them since that first call.
The depth of their experience shows through in every step of the process. Sophie is organized, communicative, professional, and handles all of the many personalities that weddings inevitably bring together with such grace. We were planning our wedding remotely and even working together virtually was incredibly easy.
As amazing as they are, we also couldn’t be any happier with the finished work. I can’t tell you how many people have gone out of their way to say that our wedding photos are the best they’ve ever seen. And we agree!

agement shoot extremely fun despite the fact that we were exhausted from smiling so much. (There's lots of smiling that goes into engagement shoots). I have been to quite a few weddings where I felt like the photographers missed a lot of the shots and/or weren't very personable and/or lazy. But I can tell you right now.....Sophie and Jordan are freaking HUSTLERS!!!!!! They were there for every special unexpected moment and took A LOT of pictures. My husband and I also decided not to do a first look; which left us extremely pressed for time after the ceremony. Sophie and Jordan were extremely prepared and we knocked out all the shots we needed/requested within probably 20 minutes. They were absolutely fabulous. I can't wait to see how they turned out. If they look anything like our engagement photos, I will be ecstatic!!!!

They made us feel really comfortable, gave great direction on how to pose, and had an eye for unique shots. The day of our April wedding came with unexpected 40-degree, windy and gray weather. They not only calmed our nerves throughout that obstacle and kept us all smiling the whole day, but the photos also turned out as gorgeous as ever! isappoint! First off, I felt her pricing was very fair. We decided would would do an engagement, wedding, and print package with her. We had an initial meeting with her and her partner in work and life, Jordan, and immediately got along and we knew we were in great hands!
Throughout the whole process, I really felt that their approach to photography and their art matched exactly what we were looking for. They asked questions about what WE wanted to see out of our photography, and took that feedback to heart. I recall saying i wanted a good mix of staged, but also candid photographs to capture the spirit and mood of the whole day and evening of the wedding. And for engagement photos, they really helped to incorporate the places in Austin that are near and dear to our hearts. And they absolutely listened and we have so many fantastic photos because of it. I loved the mix of digital photography and film, I would have never thought of that! They did a great job planning out the timeline for our photos as well, and it was one less thing we had to worry about. All of our photos turned out gorgeous, they were soft, colorful, perfect lighting, and candid. And they made us feel so comfortable when doing the posed photos as well!

knew I had to hire her. I left the call wishing we lived in the same city and could meet for a cocktail! Throughout the lead up to the big day Sophie was incredibly responsive and flexible and just so nice! Neither my husband or I love having our photo taken but instead of feeling like a chore, we had great fun. Sophie and Jordan are an awesome team and very cute couple and put us all at ease which made the photos so much better. The end results are nothing short of spectacular! We have a wonderful mix of beautiful portraits, some hysterically funny shots and a host of natural ones that capture the fun that we all had. Do not hesitate in hiring these guys!

sband Jordan are an amazing duo who work so well together and take the time to listen to and work with their clients. They definitely have my vote on the customer service aspect. On top of all that, they are AMAZING photographers. Sophie's website is not kidding when it describes her as a fine art photographer. I looked at so many photographers' portfolios, and Sophie, by far, has the most artistic and tasteful displays, and a knack for great lighting that is incomparable. My now-husband and I are some of the least photogenic people around (you know that frozen omg-there's-a-camera in my face expression--that's both of us) and our photos still turned out amazing. I can't say enough for Sophie and Jordan's photography skills and just how lovely of people they are. Make the right decision and book them for your wedding!
