Sophie was so sweet and really professional. We really wanted to go with a MUA who had experience with queer couples, and that is Sophie's specialty! She listened to exactly what w...
e wanted (and made suggestions when we weren't sure what we wanted) and was able to design a completely personalized style for each bride to complement our skin tones/bone structures/personalities. Definitely recommend doing the makeup trial first to get a sense of what you like and how it feels, since it'll take off the stress on the big day of deciding how you want to look. And I definitely recommend going with Sophie!!
Sophie brought my wedding makeup vision to life! And because Sophie is an esthetician, I was able to visit her in the months leading up to the wedding day for facials and treatment...
s so that my skin was in tip top shape for the big day! Everyone raved about their makeup and how beautiful they felt. We also had the most fun together in the suite while getting ready. Sophie is truly the best!
I have known Sophie for a few years as a casual client when she used to tint my eyelashes. When I got engaged last July, I knew I had to have her do my bridal makeup. I did not wan...
t or trust anyone else. Sophie is dedicated to her craft and made my wedding ethereal fairy makeup dreams come true. She was creative and as excited as me throughout the whole experience. On the day of the wedding she was professional, detailed, and kind and did a wonderful job on myself, my mom, and my bridesmaids. I could not have asked for a better experience. I can’t wait to come to her salon for her other services!!
Sophie is absolutely amazing in every sense of the word. Not only is she a pleasure to work with, creating a fun and comfortable environment for her clients, but she is also very ...
knowledgeable about all things makeup and skincare and extremely professional in her dealings. My family and I have hired Sophie for three weddings in the past few years (the last one being this past April) and each time she has had to work with 3-6 individuals within a short amount of time; each time blowing us all away. Being South Asian and many of the women in my family having really sensitive skin (myself included), it is often difficult to find products that work with our skin types and tones, and yet Sophie has found a way to make it work each time for each one of us. Not only have we witnessed the growth in Sophie's techniques and knowledge over the years, but have been lucky enough to learn things from her that we are able to implement in our daily lives. That is perhaps the best thing about working with Sophie: not only do you receive pampering on the day of your event, but Sophie also talks you through what she is doing, often imparting a few gems of wisdom as you go. My family and I have loved working with Sophie during each event and look forward to working with her and her team in the future. I cannot recommend her enough as everyone she has worked with in my circles has been very pleased with the outcome. Sophie makes her clients feel truly seen and heard, creating beautiful looks and memories to last a lifetime!
I live in Minnesota but my two best friends live in New York and bought me a makeup session with Sophie so I can do my own makeup for my wedding in October.
The weeks leading up ...
to the session Sophie had me fill out a skincare survey. Based on my answers Sophie gave recommendations for new skincare and wedding makeup. All of the recommendations were optional. I bought almost everything she recommended and loved all the products!
Sophie was an amazing teacher during the session. She showed me techniques for my eyes (eyeshadow, liner, mascara), eyebrows, and skin (foundation, blush, bronzer). Sophie put makeup on one side of my face and then I tried the techniques on the other side of my face. Sophie made sure to give me feedback as I was putting on the makeup and gave a very logical reason for all the techniques used, to help me remember when she is not around.
Every day I use foundation, eyebrow filler, and mascara but I am by no means an expert at doing makeup. Sophie taught me new techniques without making the experience overwhelming. At the end of the session, I felt ready for a photoshoot and confident that my best features were popping! I would highly recommend a session with Sophie for anyone that is looking to learn more about makeup or how to prepare for a big event.

d by both of us. They really wanted both brides to feel comfortable in the exact way that each of us wanted our hair and make up. They were able to fully tailor their artistry for each of us and our entire I Do Crew. We simply can't imagine our wedding day with anyone else.
I don’t know if my words will do it justice about how wonderful Sophie is. From my first interaction with her at her job to setting up my make up trial and finally the day of my we...
dding, Sophie has been nothing but compassionate, thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable and professional. She was very responsive to my questions and texted or emailed quickly, even when I would ask her about my everyday makeup routine. She was very organized and that helped me feel confident in her. The day of my trial I was nervous about how I was going to look because I don’t wear alot of makeup and wanted to still feel like myself. This was also my first time having my makeup done. She did one side with air brush and the other side without. I could not tell the difference until i had one drink out to dinner and redness shown through on the side without airbrush. I have rosacea and it flares up with certain foods and drink. I did not want that at my wedding. The airbrush was the way to go! I also cried taking off my eyelashes. I never felt as pretty as i did that night and the makeup was just enough for me. I knew in that moment there wasn’t any other makeup artist i would choose from. Sophie was it! On the day of my wedding she came early and ready to work and was so friendly to my bridal party. All my life i hated the shape of my nose and she made me feel like I had no imperfections. The makeup stayed on all night, even with crying, dancing and sweating! And I never once saw my redness. My makeup never looked so good and I felt even more pretty than my trial. I received so many compliments about how perfect it looked and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I was so upset again to wash my face that night! I can’t wait until the next time i need my makeup done! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Sophie did an amazing job on my wedding makeup! I felt like the prettiest princess. I would recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect makeup! She was very flexable with the t...
